Aftershow for The Broski Report - Pedro Pascal Review & Irish Smut

The intro coming in loud and clear.

3:26 🀣 I wish these episodes were 4 hours long!
I'm grateful that at least she also posts videos on her main channel every week. They are just as funny but with more editing bits.

And she goes on other podcasts a lot! She's funny on all of them. (I can only think of two where it was more serious because the hosts weren't funny. But it was interesting getting to know what she went through when she went viral and what to look out for if it happens to us.)

She went on a podcast last week called, "Obsessed With Brooke" and it's very funny! I wish that Brittany was a host on that podcast. I hope she guests on it often. They connected so much on being a fangirl of someone. I wish they would talk about crushing on fictional characters because that's the boat I'm in but it's not hard to fit my own obsessions in the conversation to relate to their feelings on men they're crushing on.

Plus, it helps that they know the men they obsess over is not the real version of those men. They talk about projecting their own narrative on famous men to make them seem perfect. And they don't want to meet them because real people are messy and disappointing. (That's life, accepting that people aren't perfect but finding ones that keep trying to do better and grow🧑)

When I see "other fans" online acting like they are on my level πŸ˜…

4:31 Brittany is a big music fan.
Steve is a big movie fan. This is best way to explain the difference between the two comedians I love!

I kept saying that Steve is like her but a man and Brittany is like him but a woman but it felt off and this is why! They have the same sense of humor but one is nerdy for movies and the other for music.

The fans that complain that she talks about music too much aren't real fans.

6:01 She loves snow!
I love it too and have never gotten sick of it. I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and I never got used to the heat. I fucking hate hot weather. Winter is just so magical and cozy.

9:15 She wants to make sure they are comfortable before joking around.
Meanwhile, how Steve interviews famous people πŸ˜‚

13:14 Those men wanted her.
I know it's a bit but I wish I had the confidence to act like I have that confidence.

I got annoyed last week with fans in The Broski Report subreddit who didn't fucking click on a link before assuming shit.

Look at how many lazy people didn't click on the link I shared and just looked at the picture and title!

I know my post has 23 upvotes but it only had 3 before I posted my comment explaining the clip they didn't bother to click on. So, about 14 people thought I was being shady towards Brittany πŸ™„ Click on the link next time to get the full context, please. Thank you.

21:30 He knows about her!
That must have been such a good fucking feeling. And embarrassing too!
If anyone from the EZU was reading my blog, I would be so honored and nervous lol because I want to be real and not a blind fangirl. If something upsets me, I'll say it and if it excites me, I'll say it. And sometimes that comes across annoying or creepy. So, I would be wondering on what scale would I be on for them if they were to read this blog.

If they were listening to my podcast, I would jump up and down because it's so focused on video games that it would mean they were into games more than I thought any of them were.

I'm so happy for Brittany! She's fucking funny and an open book, other celebrities can see that. I wonder how many celebrities know about her.

24:17 Her fangirl level is the most entertaining I've seen.
No one else compares because no one wants to admit they are on that level too! Most content creators are shy about it or hide behind their jokes and downplay the thoughts they have.

29:01 She starts talking about an Irish actor.
With A.I. soon it will be possible to do this.

33:11 I've been thinking about subscribing to an erotic audio app but I have so many nitpicks with how stories are written. Fanfics and erotica have so many cheesy shit and cliche styles they can't seem to get away from, it's annoying. I always get excited reading the summary to only be disappointed by the execution.

So, I don't want to pay for people reading cringy scripts when I can listen for free on Reddit.

I have heard/read some gems that break away from the mold but I hate that they are hard to find. I want more erotic audios and novels to be written more realistically. Realism can be fucking sexy and hot.

Give me stories written like Stephen King but it's porn.
Give me stories written like The Hateful Eight but it's porn.
Why is it that so hard to find?!

36:33 Brave.
Her being wowed with finding a 18+ audio that turns her on.
I remember when I first heard one, I was shocked and overwhelmed with a new world I discovered and I needed to look for what my "type" was. It was a fun search.

I would love to meet Brittany at a concert meetup but I would be overshadowed by the other fans for sure. I don't care about music that much and I'm shy.
But getting a picture with this woman would be a cherished memory.

59:42 LOL

Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - You Are My Ashtray Ep. 398

They talk about how it's hard to judge a famous person for a rumor when they too are kinda famous and hate it when fans judge them based on a rumor.

Reminds me of the fans that believed Roosterteeth had something to do with Lee being voted out of the group. They were so sure of themselves that it was frustrating to see just how people can fool themselves to believe a story they made up. Thinking they're smart enough to guess the missing puzzle pieces is what makes fandoms annoying.

I mention in another blog post that fans need to learn that friend groups fight and it's not realistic or fair to act like they all deserve a say in the fight.

11:35 Title bit.

They talk about the Harry Potter game and I had mixed feelings about it too when it came out. I don't like the bullying of people who just love Harry Potter and just wanted to play a game they dreamed about.

But bully the fuck out of people who are only playing the game and talking about the game a lot because they agree with that piece of shit woman.

I wish people would take the time to understand the context of someone's actions.

I've never gotten into Harry Potter but I understand wanting to play a fun game of a series you really love. It's hard making choices that is linked to hurt, hate and pain but if you don't hesitate and think about why people are hurting from this then you need to reflect on yourself.

Don't hide behind, "a lot of people worked on this game" as a reason to buy it. You know you only buy shit because you like it, no matter how many people created it.

It's not always easy to choose between passions but if you don't stop and thinking before choosing then you really need to reflect on why it's an easy choice for you. Buy what you want but don't kid yourself into thinking that you're doing it to support the people who worked on it.

29:40 Mike should let Steve finish his train of thought.
I like that Steve has conflicted feelings. It's hard to see a face and hear an artist's voice when you know that they're a monster in real life.

Mike is trying so hard to simplify that. Why? Let Steve explain and talk his feelings out.

Let Steve share his thoughts without you cutting it short with jokes like, "actors aren't the characters" "every actor is a liar anyways" πŸ™„ We know, Mike but we aren't robots. We have to work through our feelings and I like that Steve was trying to do that.

(I hope they see this comment and don't think the fans are all "outraged" because we aren't. Just frustrated but we still love them. We can be fans and not agree with them on everything.)

Cool it with the "everyone is telling the truth at all times" joke if it's just to shut down what Steve is trying to say because you want to cut it short.

(I agree. But with the 2nd comment, I understand Mike being upset that his friend would think Mike needed to be told that. But maybe ask, "what makes this friend think I need to be told this?"

Clear the air and have a conversation with that friend instead of writing them off. If they're a friend then they are worth listening to before unfriending, right? And I'm not saying Mike unfriended them, I'm saying this to the fans that agree with Mike and would unfriend that person without thinking about why that friend feels uncertain with your morals.

The friend is in the wrong too for assuming and tell that to them. No one is perfect. Help your friends fucking grow and help them back!)

Steve compared liking art made by monsters to seeing someone's face who broke your heart. I think that's perfect because I remember hearing certain songs that would remind me of my ex and I would get sad then annoyed. Or certain words they would say a lot and or someone else with the same name. It ruins those words, songs, games, and shows for a long time because it's link to that ex.
But those things don't always stay ruined and that's kinda what "separating the art from the artist" is like.

I've been downloading everything Alana has been in with Steve because I'm worried they might delete videos and podcast episodes she was in. They were so fucking funny together, I don't want that content to just disappear.

All we know is that she broke up with him over text because Steve shared that information. She seems like a good person who did something hurtful.

People are complicated. Which is why I don't agree with "stan culture" either. Lets all be fans of someone while knowing they aren't perfect.

I love that Steve can "yes and" every time Mike interrupts himπŸ‘Œ

35:22 Steve does a song.
Kevin dancing πŸ™ƒ
Fridays are not Dynamic Banter day, it's Mondays. Lets be real. The video version is the only version that matters.

I wish someone would record the full live shows that Steve does. I even get upset when I miss his live streams.

One day, I'll be able to plan a trip to see him.
The only people I've met that I'm a big fan of is Trisha Hershberger:

Meg Turney:

And Alchestbreach:

(Those pictures were taken 10 years ago.)

I would love to add Steve to that list. I would love to meet Joe, Elliott, Mike, Owen and Brett too. All the EZU podcast boys mean so fucking much to me. I'm scared that by the time I save enough money to go meet them, they will be sick of doing live shows or meetups.

48:25 Remix🎡

After the ads, they talk about the padding to make your features look bigger.
I reminds me of a video I seen that butt pads are popular in South Korea with celebrities and they are shamed for it if people find out they use them. (So, I don't know why it's popular to use them...)

I agree though, it's not worth tricking the person that you have a different body if they are going to see you naked anyway and know the truth. But I can see it boosting your confidence, if you're just out to look nice, like wearing makeup or a push-up bra.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - What Would 500 Hummingbirds SOUND LIKE?!

(Spoiler warning for Attack On Titan.)

3:50 It's a hummingbird.
I wish someone like, Joe was my dad. Someone so fun, funny and patient with his loved ones and tries to understand their feelings.

Meanwhile, my dad would bully people around him just to make himself laugh. When he disagreed with someone, he would get bitchy and be so closed minded.
I remember the times he would be calm while driving, I would ask him questions and he would actually answer without being a jerk about it.
Him driving was the best chance to catch him in a good mood.

Joe's kids are so lucky to have a fun dad WITH fun friends.

500 ants song 🎡

7:35 They talk about Elliott's solo episode.

LOL!

I love that Joe's dad asks about Elliott's comments last week and I get confirmation it really was a joke. Thank god! I wasn't thinking to the extreme that they weren't friends anymore but I was worried the boys wanted to end the podcast soon and Elliott was the only one wanting to hang on.

Elliott mentions The Valleyfolk on his other podcast and he talked about how he feels bad for the fans that the boys all decided to stop working on content for the channel (and are "just" a podcast now).

So, that's why I took Elliott's sarcastic comment, about the boys being mean to him, to be a clue that they didn't care if there wasn't an episode out that week but Elliott still cared enough to do it alone.
I'm glad to know, I was worried for nothing and was overthinking it.

(This comment from Steve on Twitch this past weekend, troubles me though):

11:28 Saltburn
I want more stories about Yandere main characters.

The person that told Steve that Saltburn isn't artsy but....a mainstream movie, is wrong.
My first guess is Lon Harris.
My second guess is Brett Register.
Because they both usually have unpopular opinions on movies.

I wonder who it actually is πŸ€”

I feel like Owen wouldn't say that. (And Owen wouldn't care if Steve called him out so why wouldn't Steve just admit it's him. Has to be someone else.)
Owen seems open minded towards movies (base on his conversation with Brett on a Talkin' Banter episode.) So he wouldn't say that Saltburn is "mainstream" and that "moms can enjoy the movie."

Huh?!

If you want to watch Saltburn but don't want to risk spending time watching a long movie you might hate, I recommend watching this man react to it. He shows important moments from the movie that make it easy to understand the story for viewers to follow along, without having to watch the full thing themselves.
This person is really open minded and funny to watch. His energy is fun and it really feels like you are sitting next to him while he commentates on the movie, making you laugh with him.

They go into talking about Star Wars and I never knew it wasn't set in the Milky Way but are in their own galaxy. (I've never seen the movies, just know about them.) That means that Mass Effect and Star Wars can collab in the future if they wanted.

But so far, in Mass Effect, other galaxies don't have other humans. Aliens in the Milky Way and in Andromeda are all different from each other. So, maybe it couldn't work and now...I don't want it. Fuck that idea, it's forced and cheesy.

I wouldn't mind it being cheesy with the Halo series though. It's already pretty corny with Master Chief being a "one man army" and never showing his face or emotion. Star Wars and Halo coming together would fit. I would be excited for The Weapon to do all the talking for Master Chief. I love her.
I usually find quirky characters annoying but her being in the newest game while the past games weren't humorous, it really changes the tone for Halo and it's main character. He's never been this talkative before her and it really made him more interesting to me.

(Plus, I REALLY love AI/robot characters so it was going to be hard for me to hate her.)

28:02 AI making movies.
I get why they don't like it because they have talent to create and don't want to be replaced by AI and I agree, that sucks. It sucks that people can't respect artists and not fucking steal their art and sell it or act like it's theirs.

But if fans are just making it for themselves... like bootleg shirts, posters, wallpaper for their phones/computers...what's the harm though?

If fans can just fucking behave and enjoy their AI created pictures, music and stories offline then why not?

There are characters I love but most of the fandom doesn't and it sucks when I'm looking for content and there is none because it's not popular. That's why I get happy thinking about AI making my ideas real. Creating fanfiction of characters that there aren't fanfiction of. Or fanart of crack ships, different endings or different story paths.

I want to see Attack On Titan's story if Erwin lived instead of Armin.

Come on! You know the show would be exciting because he's more aggressive than Armin. The power was fucking wasted on Armin, he hardly used it πŸ™„

Erwin might've agreed with Eren's plan and it would've been amazing to see ruthless, badass characters working together.

But if he doesn't agree then Eren would know to plan for that because he would actually feel threatened by Erwin. While Eren never felt that way towards Armin and Mikasa. Even towards Hange.

Plus, Erwin would deal with the outrage from the people better than Hange. She seemed so pathetic.

And Erwin would control his emotions and not tell Annie anything. He would keep her in the dark just in case she could hear him because she's still an enemy. Erwin would be very careful and think of all the possibilities of his actions. Even as small of an action like talking to Annie's frozen body because he has the memories of someone who loved her.

She would be confused as fuck when she gets unfrozen. Instead of knowing everything and pissing me off that she gets to stay cool and collected about finding out what happened to her friends.

I want to see all that shit and no one is making it!

The best I can find is just fans talking about the "what if" of it on Reddit and Youtube video essays, fanfictions of it and a few pictures of it:

But I want to see a fan made animation or comic of it.

So, fuck yeah, I'm excited for AI being able to do that, just to enjoy in private. Not to steal and monetize shit but to nerd out about a series in a way other fans can't or wont make.

I know though, that the boys (and the rest of the art world) isn't thinking about those harmless fans when they talk about how AI is annoying and scary. They are thinking about the fans who WANT to steal and make easy money with AI.
And the evil, greedy companies using AI to not have to pay workers just to make cheap stories.

They then talk about how AI art gives an uncanny valley look but if it's in animation or a cartoony style then it would fit right in with art created by people. Like I mentioned in this blog, there are some ugly ass cartoons out there.

But even cartoons that look weird aren't all ugly, they can look cool and aesthetically pleasing:

But even cool, weird animation can give uncanny valley vibes when compared to pretty animation:

I think AI art would be aesthetically pleasing instead of giving the uncanny valley vibe when it's grouped with weird styled cartoons.

I do love that Steve thinks this way so that I don't feel alone in that opinion.

45:00 Funny bit.

50:50 Funny bit.

Sounds like something Brittany Broski would say.

1:01:50 Annoying "cute" creatures in stories.
I hate that stuff too, Steve.
I hate when anime shows do it. When Disney and Pixar do it. And when some Persona games do it.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - I Would've Slayed as a Victorian Woman

I love the loud exciting start to book talk.
I'm not interested in ever reading those books but I LOVE hearing her talk about it so much that I wish she would just full on spoil it for me sometimes. I can appreciate and enjoy the concept while not wanting to actually read/watch/play the story.

It's the same with Sydney about manga. I'm never going to read those cheesy manga stories full of cliches but when she explains the story and it's characters, it's so fun to hear because she loves it. She makes it sound better than it actually is.

Without Brittany and Sydney, I would never know of these stories. I love seeing people I like, nerd out to shit. I say this a lot but I feel like it needs to be drilled into people.

So, when other fans get bored because they don't care about certain topics, I get annoyed with them for not having an open mind to at least hearing an entertainer share their love for it. I get it if it's a boring person who is explaining it but I'm talking about funny people at the moment.

I love it when Brittany yells at the fans who are like that. And Sydney does it too πŸ‘Œ

2:40 So fucking funny when she argues with herself.

4:56 LOL

9:36 Platonic friendships.
I also like when stories are about strong friendships but I get so frustrated when fandoms always ship the characters into having romantic feelings for each other. As if, friendship isn't strong enough of a relationship unless its "upgraded" to romance.

Fans can't believe that friends can care about each other so much and not kiss and fuck each other.

16:09 She's awesome for admitting that. πŸ˜‚
I made "aftershow" posts for other podcasts I love and there are still unpopular opinions I have that I'm too nervous to write about because they might find my blog!
Everyone in The EZU are good actors and writers πŸ˜‡

26:06 Talking about how cool Holmes is.
How I feel when people complain about characters on The Walking Dead having good aim. People will find anything to complain about with that show, it's annoying as fuck.

I've seen people complain when they have perfect aim.
I've seen people complain when they "waste" bullets missing.

All this bitching at it just because TWD wont have the characters be boring and not take risks. People want the show to just be a peaceful, slice of life series where they avoid danger? Really?

29:33 Funny bit.
It's funny because she's already slaying now. She is living a better life than if she were born back then.
Her saying, "we can work with that" LOL!

IπŸ‘loveπŸ‘thisπŸ‘podcastπŸ‘

People that stopped following Brittany because they couldn't separate her from her comedy are really missing out.

36:09 I wish I had this level of confidence.
It looks so powerful to be this proud of your writing. I wrote one Hunter x Hunter fanfiction years ago and I hate myself for it. It wasn't romance but still...cringe.

41:35 Her rant about:
1. Friends having their phone on dinner table.
I never thought about it like that because I haven't been out much to have friends do that to me. She's making sense though so I agree. I would feel like the person was bored with me if they just had to have their phone at the ready to look at all the time.

2. Person scrolling on their phone while in conversation.
Agreed. Turn the phone off if you're talking to someone unless you're about to show them a video or something.

3. Texting and driving.
I've never had to deal with that and it sucks that she has to. And I hope none of my friends have to deal with that or are the ones doing that. Stay safe and smart, please!

I never have to worry about being the jerk doing any of those things to someone because I'm not glued to my phone. Yes, I'm proud of that.

Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - A Time You've Never Seen Before Ep. 397

1:35 Mike is hyper at the start of the show.
I like him this way!

19:04 Rock Band!
Steve streamed it this past weekend and it was great 🎡 😎

The tiny submarine is funny.

Kevin made me laugh.

50:53 Mike forgetting to eat.
This is not the same but I remember not eating much for days because I was glued to a game. That will never happen again. That was stupid. It's almost as stupid as working yourself so hard just for views and followers. I was at least having fun. There was no stress for me other than, " I should eat."

Lets all remember to stay healthy.

57:16 Why do people watch him?
I'm with Mike, I don't understand how people can just watch dumb, random videos. But hearing Steve explain the weird shit he sees is better than actually watching the videos he's talking about.
Steve hypes it up. It's good to know that about him so I don't ever feel the need to go and search for videos he mentions. Its fine enough just hearing his version of retelling it.

Like, how I hate watching bad horror movies but I love listening to people talk about bad horror movies who LOVE those bad horror movies. (Dead Zone Drive-In, Ruined, and Dead Meat

I just never cared about Annoying Orange, Salad Fingers or the meme faces.
Or ugly cartons like, Cow and Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Squidbillies.

It took me so long to check out South Park because it looked so fucking stupid that I never gave it a chance until I was looking for something to watch while I was sick in bed and South Park was the only cartoon on and I ended up loving it.

So, maybe that could happen with the other weird shit I listed but I'm just not in the mood to give them my time when I have so much other stuff to watch and I know I love. That time when I was sick was a lucky break for South Park. Because if I had home internet, I would've never discovered my love for that show.

BUT I know I would love it more if South Park had beautiful animation. I don't know why comedy cartons NEED to be weird looking...

Thank you, Steve (and sickness) for sharing weird shit we might like.

57:55 A call for new History Road theme songs.
I guess I agree. I just remember them having cool theme songs that they haven't played that much and I'm wondering why they don't use those to change it up.

But the fans always surprise me with how talented they are so I'm excited to see what new themes people will created for History Road!

1:00:25 Kevin seems annoyed that fans are emailing him.
Mike points it out.

-Kevin doesn't want people messaging him for History Road but he wont stop telling Steve which emails to read.

-Kevin doesn't want to be on mic, as a guest but he wont stop adding his commentary off mic.

We don't know what you want, Kevin. You're confusing us.

It's reminding me of how fans who become mods for streamers become elitist towards the rest of the fans who aren't mods, who aren't in the inner circle.

It wouldn't hurt if Kevin showed some sympathy for fans who really want to be noticed by their favorite comedians.

So many times, I've seen fans type in a chat about how happy they are to have caught their favorite streamer live. That they were having a bad day but being noticed had brightened it.

I've been a fan of Steve and Mike since the beginning too and I never sent anything to them. I was a lurker for so long until this past December, I started doing the "Aftershow" blog posts to nerd out to them. And I finally sent in a History Road about me sending a letter to my dad.

It's okay if it never gets read because it was just so exciting sending one in at all. If I ever get motivation to send another email, it will not be about my dad. I don't want to be one of those fans who sends the same email over and over again. Just seems too aggressive for me to do but I understand why fans do it.

Anyway, I just looked at it to see what I typed, just to make sure I didn't try to get Kevins attention and I didn't. But I know I thought about putting Kevin's name in it to get a better chance at being picked because I know that Kevin chooses the emails now.

I'm glad I didn't put his name in it but since I thought about doing it, I feel sorry for the fans that did and are now being roasted a little for it.

I guess Kevin wants fans to ignore him but how do we do that and accept that he's apart of the show? Fans want to send emails to Mike and Steve but Kevin is the one who will pick the emails based on if he thinks they are interesting enough for the boys to read but doesn't want the emails communicating with him. Hmm....

1:02:45 How to describe Dynamic Banter?
It's a comedy podcast.

1:06:28 The title bit

I'm on the guy's side about the weird date location. The girl was strange for not telling him details about where they were. Because it doesn't give him a chance to understand her situation.

They don't know each other so it's totally fine for him to not care about her being too shy or sad to explain why she choose that spot as a date. She could have made it not weird by just explaining it.

Let's normalized honesty. Why waste time being vague?

1:25:23 The boys are sad a restaurant they love is not around anymore.
It makes me want to walk around Phoenix and see what changed. I don't have a close attachment to food from restaurants or fast food places because when I'm hungry, any food is either amazing or it's shit. I don't think I've ever thought of a meal being "okay."

So, when people would argue over which place had the best pizza, burgers, tacos, fries or drinks, I didn't care about those debates. All and any of those places were good enough for me.

But I can relate to being sad when a place closes down because of the memories connected there.

-I don't remember the food but I loved when my parents would take us to the Rainforest Cafe at the Arizona Mills because it meant we were going to shop for video games right after.

-I don't remember the taste but I loved going to Pete's Fish & Chips because that meant it was movie night.

-I don't remember the name but I loved a pretzel place in the Metrocenter mall, where my friend got free pretzel balls one time and we had fun shopping for prom shoes. I bought pretzel balls every time I went to that mall since that time. They were cheap and just made me think of my friend, Connie. Who made me feel pretty and sexy. I never wore makeup or girly clothes until that year, I was 17.

I think I'll go around and visit those places the next time I visit Arizona. It's been a few years.

1:31:41 No soul in big company restaurants.
I think we need a different word for "soul" when we talk about stuff we love. I hate the word "soul" to explain what makes something good or to explain art. It's weird that atheists choose when to believe in souls and when not to believe.

And if you're rolling you eyes thinking, "You know what we mean." I do and I want you to say what you mean! The word, "soul" makes me roll my eyes.

In Mass Effect, when Legion asks, "Does this unit have a soul?" There's no option to say, "I'm an atheist so no. No one has a soul."

Thank you for reading my bratty tangent.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - Storytime: Elliott Connects with the Long Island Medium (AND DEAD PEOPLE!)

I LOVE solo episodes! I love hearing people being "in the zone" to talk without being interrupted by someone.

Geoff from Rooster Teeth has a solo podcast and I'm so happy he does! He became my favorite host on Achievement Hunter a while ago. He's so funny when he gets scared playing horror games.

Brittany Broski has a solo podcast and it's the best! I blog about her podcast.

Steve could have a solo podcast too! He has proven he can be funny alone or with others.

And I have one and I love recording myself talk because it feels good to get my thoughts out there vs keeping it to myself because I don't have many people I can nerd out about video games with. I love story heavy ones, I don't care much for playing online.

Video games have more freedom on how they choose to tell their stories that movies, shows and books can't do. Video games can have players choose to do side quests or read notes to get more lore or be okay with the lore they do get from just the main story line. But with movies, shows and books, you get what they give you. Rather it's too much information or too little.

Anyway, I just want to show that I think more people should have solo podcasts because maybe someone wants to really share their love about something that no one in their friend group cares about. Or maybe they just want to share what's on their mind and don't feel like waiting to get "the group" together so they just sit down, record and talk.

Plus, solo podcasts are just relaxing to listen to because they feel more intimate.

I hope Elliott is joking about the boys not wanting to do the podcast anymore. I'm getting the feeling its like how Owen wanted to give up doing the Lost podcast with his friends. And we had no idea he felt that way until they finished the show. They laugh about it like it's funny but it sucks as a fan knowing that Owen didn't think it was good enough to continue doing. Or he thought that the podcast would be better without him but it's not true.

So, I hate this feeling that The Valleyfolk boys are talking about stopping the podcast. I really really hope it's just a joke. The way Elliott ended the episode made me feel a bit better that it might be just that.

I know it' sucks that the fans choose sides and the views are way down now but the boys still get more views that other podcasts starting out. They still have fans who love listening to them every week. What's wrong with talking with friends but it's being recorded? If they stopped the podcast, would they all stop hanging out on zoom together? And just talk to each other individually? Without the podcast, would them talking as a group be rare?

If not, then why stop the podcast?
If so, then why stop the podcast?

I'll stop whining but I just want them to know, if they ever find this blog, that I love getting a window into their fun friendship 🧑

I'm imagining Nat and Aly seeing this show and laughing about it after with Elliott. I would love for him to go on the Let's Get Haunted podcast again. Or for the girls to guest on The Valleycast and talk about fun creepy shit πŸ‘½πŸ‘»

19:58 Why be a killjoy when you can just enjoy the magic.
I know someone who is like that with movies. If the movie has demons or ghosts in it, they wont get into it because "that's not true!" It's very annoying.

Yes, I agree that the show Elliott went to is bullshit but I wouldn't kill the fun by acting like I'm better than everyone else. It's fun to talk about ghosts stories with people who DO believe in it.

Or at least love talking about fun "what ifs" with friends:
"What if you had the power to teleport?"
"What if you became rich?"
"What if the Cloverfield monster just came out of nowhere right now!"
"What if you saw a ghost?"

If we can have fun like that then why can't we have fun listening to others talk about what we think is fake? Also, context matters, I'm not saying that skeptics should never voice their opinions. I'm saying that skeptics shouldn't go to a show, podcast, or a hangout and kill the mood for everyone because skeptics want to stand out as "the smart one."
I'm a skeptic who hates other skeptics πŸ˜‚

I loved seeing the positive comments for Elliott on this episode! I didn't really timestamp in this post, was too busy enjoying his story. This episode was funny and cozy.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Never Drink with British People

4:32 Funny bit

5:45 Funny bit

7:44 Book talk.
I understand finding it hard to get into other stories that have nothing to do with your current favorite story. But at the moment, I'm so open to horror, romance, sci-fi, and drama. I have no idea what connects these things to make me know I want to check them out. But I have been in moods where I only want more horror and everything else can wait. Or I'm only into sci-fi because of Mass Effect and Cyberpunk 2077, and everything else can wait.

I love trying to roleplay in my head that V from Cyberpunk or Shepard from Mass Effect are in different worlds when I play other sci-fi games. I love that Brittany does that too! She finds traits in new characters that remind her of characters in other stories.

This is how I feel about the last season of Never Have I Ever.

This is how I feel with fanfictions that have unnecessary background stories and drama.

Even if you're not an author, its fine to say what you love and hate in a story and what you think works better because that's the point of art. To talk about art that makes us want to create or add on to it and imagine how to make it perfect for ourselves.
Brittany, the fact that you have written fanfiction makes you more of an author than me. But I'll still bitch about stories and say how I think they should've been written πŸ’…

This is how I feel about lore in anime.

I'm into Stephen King books right now and I want to get into the Halo novels this year. But if the first Halo book is bad then I'll just focus on King.

This is how I feel about cozy games like, Spirittea.

30:47 Funny bit
And that's the thing, it's just a bit. I can already imagine people being outraged by this joke. People forget real fast that they clicked on a comedy podcast. It's not always funny when the person telling the jokes has to say, "I'm joking by the way!" or "Just kidding!" We are here to laugh. Not learn. Relate maybe but not learn.

I remember Michael from the Off Topic podcast would complain about fans being upset when the boys would film themselves making a mess in a hotel room. But right after they turn the camera off, they start cleaning. They don't film that part because it's boring! Why ruin the joke by showing the clean up? People can be such idiots who are too quick to judge and too lazy to give people the benefit of the doubt.

31:18 Men who act dumb.
I do not know how anyone can live with someone who acts like cleaning is hard. My brother would do that, as a kid, to my mom and I hated it because it's so fucking easy to fix the bed and fold clothes. I can't imagine living with a grown man like that. Are people just staying with them because they don't want to be alone? Leave them! They don't deserve a personal butler! And women don't deserve to have to act like a mother to the man that they are fucking.

This reminds me of how angry I got listening to a guy, on TikTok, saying how he misses sleeping on the floor just because his dumb kids keep falling off the bed.

I hated reading the comments of cheap men defending not having a bedframe. The only good reason to not have one is because bedframes are expensive. The cheapest one I could find was $99. Not everyone can afford to spend money on one. We didn't have one for years because of money. But once we did, both my husband and I felt like it was an upgrade.
Much easier to get in and out of bed when it's higher, we can comfortably set drinks, books or our phones on the side tables. It's so much warmer than being on the cold fucking floor.

Getting a shitty bedframe on Amazon was worth it. So, if it's not about money, (or you don't have something like a tatami mat, to insulate the floor) get a fucking bedframe!
Actually try to give a fuck about your living space. Or keep it like shit but don't complain when women keep walking out on you.

Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - No More Rooting or Tooting! Ep. 396

3:15 Arcade memories.
I remember playing a sonic arcade game in Las Vegas.
I remember playing them in a pizza place in Phoenix.
I remember playing them on a date in Phx but it was awkward because I was too shy to really get into it. So, it just looked like I sucked at games. And being a girl, I really hate it when I look like I suck at games. I wish I could go back and just try, now that I don't care about that boy anymore.

7:50 Calling their dads.
I always feel uncomfortable when they call people, I don't know why. (Unless it's their friends.) I hate when they call fans or family because they have to be censored in a way. I shouldn't care but it bothers me. I keep pausing the video. I need to get over this feeling.

I haven't talked to my dad in years. I sent my Tia, his sister, a letter to give him but she hasn't seen him yet. They're also not on speaking terms but she has a better chance of seeing him since she lives in the same city. Hopefully he writes me back when he gets the letter. I sent it in September.

I think the reason I feel like cringing is because I could never be that open and nice to my dad, like Steve and Mike are to theirs. But shouldn't I feel jealous instead of cringe?

Mike making it sound like his dad is in a song was good.
And the last "Yup-yup-yup!" was great.

20:45 They say that old people get away with being assholes and unwilling to learn.
I disagree. Fuck that.

25:17 Where the episode title comes from.

37:57 Men who want to commit crimes.
Even if the pictures were created by AI it's still funny. Someone came up with the joke and just wanted realistic pictures to go with it because a big part of the joke is it looks real. (Or all those men are real and made the funny post together. Real or not, it was a fun find.)

49:21 They said that they love the new theme song and are keeping it.
Fuck the haters ✌🧑

56:20 History Road.
I would LOVE it if Mike and Steve had their own radio show. Hearing them live while knowing people are listening to them who have no idea who the boys are, would be so exciting! It's different from Steve live streaming because everyone watching is already a fan of his.

1:04:47 New clips from an email.
These emails were fine but I was hoping for actual stories to be back after the boys asking for them last week. I miss the fanfictions from the early DB episodes (and from Talkin' Banter).

My best friend sent me a Dynamic Banter poster for my birthday and it looks so nice πŸ‘Œ I can't get a good picture because I don't have a good camera but it looks very good and it's right next to this one on my wall:

Aftershow for The Valleycast - The Educational Animal Episode

2:30 They start to talk about inbreeding.
We are meant to hate our parents so that we don't want to fuck them?

Funny bit.

11:24 Asking when were floors invented.
I love that too, Steve. ChatGPT is pretty good at making you not feel ashamed for asking weird questions. It would be funny to have a rude version that tells you to stop asking stupid questions though!

With A.I. it's never personal. So, it's funny to know how many people would be butthurt about it being rude to them. Using it as proof that A.I. is evil πŸ˜…

13:57 Dream pets.
A pet cow would be cute! I always have fun talking to my husband about "what if" we had a cow (or a goat or a sheep) and it would be loud for attention. We both just think they sound cute but that's only because we don't have to hear them day and night. It's only fun to imagine.

A weird pet I would like to have that isn't totally make-believe, would be a robot. It can be a robot dog, cat, bird or an eyebot from the Fallout video game series. Just something cute looking.

It never gets sick, old and never dies. I wouldn't have to spend money to feed it and it wouldn't be gross with pee and spit everywhere. And it wouldn't be stupid and eat it's own poop. Wouldn't be stinky.

Plus, it can understand everything I say and communicate back to me. Wouldn't have to be trained that much. Only needs to learn how to do something once.

(Something like this but bigger would be awesome!)

24:25 I'm shocked that Joe hasn't heard that before.
I'm so used to seeing people say that all the time on Tumblr.

25:24 Elliott joins to tell them he saw a bear.

28:55 An elephant was hung as punishment for killing a kid.
Funny bit.

31:21 Asking why dangerous animals are cute.
I remember when I first signed up to use ChatGPT, I would ask it random questions like that too. I asked it if spiders play, if ants feel pain, if bees know what rain is or if they think something is attacking them. It's so easy to lose time asking questions to ChatGPT because it definitely feels like a little kid asking their teacher.

I also asked who would win, Lalo Salamanca or It from Stephen King's IT.

ChatGPT is better than Google.

51:44 Steve talks about if it's worth having a pet then gets into not wanting a cat ever.
Maybe Steve would want a cat that isn't a recuse cat. Get one that isn't going to have trauma so that it lets you pet it and show it love. Every cat I had growing up, always let me pet it.

Steve and Lee have always talked shit about cats because some are assholes but dogs are assholes too. People who only want rescue pets to make themselves feel better aren't ready for the pet to not want to be touched. Stop blaming all cats as not worth getting because people keep trying to get rescue pets.

I'm annoyed with people who love dogs and will be so understanding when dogs are assholes but wont give the same understanding to cats.

Meanwhile, cat lovers will understand dogs even if they aren't their favorite pet. Cat lovers are actual animal lovers.

I don't even love cats anymore but I used to. I've grown to find animals annoying to have because I like to be left alone and free to relax in peace. (Like, how Trisha Hershberger isn't big on animals.) I can't stand it when dogs look at me while I eat.

The reason I'm ranting for cats is because I hate the hypocrisy of dog lovers hating cats but are fine with any other animal being an asshole. But I know, I'm coming off as a cat lover πŸ˜‚

Joe turned this episode into a fun topic. I hope this year they start to read the Youtube comments. I've seen a commenter being passive aggressive about being ignored. And I get it.
I don't like feeling like the podcast is dying either. I don't want it to end!
I. Love. These. Boys.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - We Are So Back

She opens with announcing she has merch that actually has an art print on it that isn't just the fucking logo! Yes! The art is so cute!

5:13 I love that she admits when she doesn't really know what a word means and looks it up right in front of us. Its always funny because I could never be that brave. I would've edit that part out and made it seem like I knew the whole time. And I'm sure other creators do that too or they say they aren't sure but wont bother to quickly fact check.

She's so real to look up stuff and not be lazy or shy about it. Plus, we learn with her πŸ‘Œ

6:06 A Funko Pop figure of her!
That's really cool!

I love that her explaining the lore of why the toys are placed where they are, is like a little kid showing us their toys. So, funny and cute!

Because I do that too when I chose where to place my figures on the shelves, I'm thinking where each one makes sense for them to be placed at and how to position them. It's the closest to playing with toys again.

7:25 Whichever name she chose to say that was on the other side of that call would've been funny no matter what.

I wish she wouldn't apologize for taking time off. I was sad to not have her podcast for two weeks but after the outrage she had to deal with, I'm glad she took real time to relax. I'm happy to see her fully recharged and stronger to take on any negativity, deserved or not.

People need to learn that sometimes a person can grow from mistakes if people give them the fucking time. Use common sense to know who has potential to do better and who doesn't.

I think it's obvious that Brittany has potential and has shown that she wants to learn and even points out the toxic parts in her thinking. Famous or not, so many other people wont do that.

9:40 The man of the week/month!
I love that she's open about being horny. With so many other people acting like they're virgins, it gets annoying when they will giggle over the word, "spicy."

I wish I had a female friend that I could fangirl with and laugh that we are talking about fucking a video game, anime or book character. I don't like the same men as Brittany but I can relate to her feelings by inserting fictional men I like when she talks about her tastes.

14:34 Being obsessed with a guy is very funny, fun, real and annoying! LOL!
It's annoying because it takes up so much of your time. Looking up fanart, fanfictions, videos and creating some form of art of them. And the day dreaming! So much time day dreaming. You start to feel crazy.

When you're finally over the crush, you suddenly have so much more hours in a day that you didn't have before. It feels like freedom 😌

18:04 Book talk.
I LOVE when she yells at the people who might and will bitch about how much they don't care about this topic. I seen so many fans on Reddit that need to be told to shut the fuck up and listen! Any time someone complains that she talks about music, men or books. They can shut the fuck up and just listen. (Or learn how to skip, it's a really cool feature that you can do, you spoiled brats!)

I love hearing her happily talk about her interests. It's not that hard to mentally insert something I like that comes close to what she's talking about so that I can relate and understand her.

She's fucking real to admit that she is idolizing a man she doesn't know, into a character she wants and says, "it doesn't matter!" Let her live her fantasy! It's fun!

I want her to say that to Mike from DB. He needs to hear it because I feel like Mike always has to point out things that are selfish or foolish instead of just seeing the fun in them. Instead of understanding that maybe someone is acting that way because it's for comedic effect.

I was relistening to Cloverfeels and DB and in those early podcast days, he was such an easy going, team player.

But now it feels like he's always ready to defend something against Steve or fans who write in emails, in a way that isn't fun for a comedy podcast. Steve is better at knowing what will be fun for the podcast that he will "yes and" to anything, even if he disagrees or isn't interested in it. Steve's a good sport towards Mike's interests.

Brittany is like Steve Zaragoza in that way. She doesn't want to argue unless it'll be funny. Like, her talking about food. I wish all arguments on DB were light hearted and fun like they used to be in the early episodes. Who cares about winning an argument, all that matters is if it's funny to hear! Mike loses sight of that sometimes.

It was not fun seeing him act so serious over a fucking pizza slice.

Or when he got so defensive over his dad when Steve was just trying to segue into a fucking ad with a simple statement about dad's and sports.

Or when he was disgusted that Steve has his own opinion about no one being able to create perfect old timely music like the guys who made Cuphead did. He wanted Steve to be clear that it was an opinion and not a fact even though everything they say on the podcast is an opinion and Steve says that.

Or when he got offended that Steve said having a star named after him was the best gift he has ever gotten. It was clearly a excited Steve who couldn't wait to share what he got in the mail. I'm sure he didn't really mean that. It's a popular statement when people get a cool gift. Like, saying, "This is the best day of my life/week/month/year!"
It's just hype and Mike had to shit all over Steve's gift because how dare Steve be happy with something that Mike doesn't care about. And how dare Steve not like the birthday roast that all his friends set up for him. Steve just wanted to share his love of space with Mike.

Or when Steve wanted to laugh at a friend for writing into a show and lying about their life just so their email would stand out and be picked to be read. But Mike kept saying how that's fucked up to laugh at friend, even though he knows Steve isn't rude like that. It's something light hearted to laugh at someone for, come on!
And they ended up texting that friend who said it was okay to talk about. So, Mike totally ruined a good bit by worrying that it was too mean to talk about. How does he not know how editing works? If it turned out that friend wasn't fine with it, then they could've edit it out.

Or Mike getting upset for women named Karen. Of course the white man on the show is the one upset about that πŸ™„ White women have it SO hard. Boohoo.
Steve was trying to make the conversation funny but Mike kept putting his foot down, saying that it wasn't a game. Mike just wanted Karens to write in and tell everyone listening how much of a good person they are....

(I was thinking about having links but fans of DB will remember what I'm talking about and if not, lucky you. And I don't feel like rewatching those annoying moments.)

Mike: "This is why we shouldn't do this."

Brittany: "This is why we shouldn't do this. Now watch me have fun doing it."

Maybe Mike is self-aware and 2024 will make him work on being chill on a comedy podcast. He can be funny, I like him but I used to really like him.

27:20 Her telling hot men to not talk will always be great.

31:34 Obama's songs of the year.
Mike lives in my head rent free at the moment because all I could think about when Brittany was saying she couldn't imagine Obama listening to these songs is Mike telling her, "People can listen to any music they like rather or not you can imagine it." Or maybe it's not Mike I'm thinking of but the fans on Reddit that love to bitch about her.

Right now, Mike is the face of fans who have to play devil's advocate instead of enjoying the joke.

39:44 Audio books.
I feel so connected to her about this because I JUST got into audio books too. I prefer paperback because I love imagining what the characters sound like but while playing video games where I'm just farming or exploring the world, I like to have something to listen to. I used to listen to podcasts but I'm all caught up with the ones I like.

So, I looked into free audio books then some Stephen King audio books:

The Bad Neighbor - I'm not finished yet but I just had to skip towards the end of chapter 17 or 18 because I couldn't take how much of a submissive bitch the main character was being towards the cop. I want to see how this ends but I don't recommend it. 1 out of 5.

Night Shift - Another push over MC. I hated the characters and ending. I liked the mystery but once it was solved, it sucked. 1 out of 5.

Misery - I'm loving it! I already know the story but the book has so much more to it because you can hear the MC's thoughts. This MC being a push over makes sense because he is injured and at the mercy of a strong, crazy woman. 5 out of 5.

The Good Marriage - I've seen the movie and it's just as good as the book. I even think the movie is a bit more exciting. And I didn't like the voice for the husband the reader gave him. He would've sounded better in my head. The confrontation with the cop is different in the movie so I recommend checking both out! 5 out of 5.

Slow stories I could get bored of if I was reading them. The voice acting out the characters really help make it interesting. If slow burn stories are hard for you to read, try the audio book version.

56:10 Health update.
I'm glad she has a good doctor now.

I haven't been to a doctor since I was a teen. I'm so nervous that I have something wrong with me. I'm 33, about to be 34 at the end of this month, I should go get a check up soon.

Anyways, I can't wait to buy her merch...in the future. I just spent so much money already during December that I now have to save money. As exciting as it is that Brittany has cute fucking merch, it is just t-shirts and sweaters. I can wait for next time. I know they will sell out so that should tell her to make more. I'm very happy for her!

(I would love for her and Steve Zaragoza to be on a podcast or video together someday! I imagine it would be something like this.)

Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - Kevin's Sober and We Called God Ep. 395

New intro theme! I love it! It fits perfect with their podcast πŸ‘Œ

6:49 Steve not knowing how to use ChatGPT.
I thought he would at least check it out by now since he was pro A.I. technology before. It's so easy to delete off the phone (or to sign out of on the computer) that it's not a big deal to use.

I love it more than Google. It goes right to the point. If you ask something important, you can always still google it to make sure it's correct. I usually use it for "how to" stuff, instead of looking up Youtube videos and recipe blogs.

24:05 "Blood is the color of love" is so good. Makes me think of Yandere characters and the song, The Red Means I Love You by Madds Buckley.

26:46 "Dark show" info from Mike.
I love that ChatGPT is proving a good way to get quick info, even telling them to fact check everything they hear to not risk spreading misinformation.

38:08 Getting upset over comments on the internet.
It sounds so easy to just ignore strangers insulting you but it's not. It ruins hours of my day if I can't find something to distract me like a video game, movie or funny videos.
Hopefully I can learn to let things go when it's about me but when I see comments insulting Steve or the Valleyfolk channel, I get upset.

Luckily, these blog posts help me focus my time and energy that would have been spent in the Youtube comments or Reddit. I can say whatever I want here without "poking" someone to respond to me. Also, having a paperback journal helps when I want to add something I can't here since this is public for anyone to read.

More people should have blogs and journals to rant on.

Franchesca Ramsey calling out assholes shows that sometimes it's good to shame negative comments publicly. Trolls feel powerful being left alone and I know some feel good when being noticed but not all of them. Most are only "brave" because they think they wont be called out. It takes time to learn which ones will regret leaving negative comments and which ones just want to waste your time.

Overall, I think it's easier for men to ignore rude comments than it is for women.

57:57 Little did they know, they already have a "After The Banter" show.
It's this blog! I hope when they find this, they like it πŸ‘‹

And Steve mentions Owen and Brett as a joke to their "Before The Banter" show. Maybe that's a clue that when they find this blog they would cringe instead of liking it. Because I know they think it's funny to imagine a "Talkin' Before The Banter" but fans would love it if that was a real thing.
We miss Brett and Owen!

1:00:54 They open late Christmas gifts from their friend.
(Again, audio only version of this podcast is pointless.)

Some of my Christmas gifts finally came in too!
My husband's grandpa paid our rent for a month 🧑
And my best friend, gave me an espresso maker and this manga πŸ’–:

1:12:30 History Road
Going back to story only emails! Yes! Thank you, Kevin.

If they made those red hats, I would NOT wear them. It's funny but nah, red hats are ruined forever. It would have to just be sitting on a dresser or hanging on the wall.

1:22:31 Mike getting defensive for the people who named the days of the week.
...okay.

It ends with me seeing fans in the comments, say that they want the old theme song back. I hate when people wont give change a chance. They just notice it's different and get scared. But at least there are fans saying that they love it, so that's good to see.

I'm happy that the boys really love the new theme because the style of it fits the show so much better while still having a bit of the old song in it.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - Can Taylor Save The MCU?!

Starts with them talking about new movies.
At the moment, I'm only in the mood for horror movies. So, everything they talked about, I looked it up and was disappointed when it wasn't a horror.

4:44 Their theme song plays.
I always sing along to it, it's so cozy. πŸ₯°

11:47 They talk about a women who just got out of jail for killing her mom and couldn't go see Taylor Swift. Then they go right into people complaining that Taylor Swift uses a private jet.
I agree with the boys, if you're as famous as her, you can't use the airport like everyone else. But if a fucking "Influencer" uses a private jet too much, then it's worth judging them because they could use the airport with ease.

Also, if we all could use a private jet, we all would.

16:49 Dream Warriorz!
I tweeted at Steve about showing the movie they edited again and he said that it might be soon!

My husband wasn't able to see it so I can't wait for them to screen it again so he can laugh with me. The next movie is Batman Forever. I've never seen it but I've never seen Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure either and I still understood what the main movie was about. So, I was able to really enjoy it.

I hope the editors all get so much time and motivation to finish it faster than they thought they would!

It makes me want to edit a short anime series that I wanted to like but couldn't. Kinda like Abridged anime series on Youtube, they look so fun to do! Either to laugh at the story and make it silly. Or for it to be serious and improve the story, like I did with my gameplays.

I had fun recording three different playthroughs (for one game) and editing it down into one. I also played some things out of order but edited like it went in a straight line. I loved trying to make each video feel like an episode of a show. I took out most combat and focused only on the character dialogue and showing off the world in that game.

(Plus, I was sick of perfect, happy endings being popular and deemed "canon" by fandoms, for games with multiple endings, so I made and shared my own playthroughs that ended bittersweet with morally grey adventures.)

I can only imagine how much harder it would be to edit something together that isn't a game because with a game, I can control what I want the characters to say, do and where to go. Instead of having to search for the perfect clips to use. But it seems like a fun challenge.

20:25 Tommy Lee Jones hating Jim Carrey, reminds me of Steve talking about a guy who hates him for the same reason. Steve went up to him to invite the guy to hangout and he told Steve to leave him alone. I remember being annoyed with Mike when his response was giving that guy a pass to be that way. If that happened to Mike, there's no fucking way he would give that guy a pass to be rude to him just because Mike was "too wacky" for him.

If there was someone who I couldn't stand but they never did anything bad towards me, I would be polite and say, "Thank you but I feel like being alone for now." I wouldn't say, "I don't want to deal with you." I know people can be cringe and "too much" but if they aren't jerks, then don't be rude. Just avoid them. It's not hard.

(Steve also may have compared himself to Jim Carrey in that moment when telling Mike about that guy but I might be misremembering.)

It also reminds me of when I was little and my friend's mom hated me because I was shy. Years later my dad told her that he knew she hated me. She acted like she didn't and my dad called her a liar and she laughed. If I could go back in time, I would earn that hate.

37:06 Godzilla movie talk.
Joe made this movie seem interesting. I'm also not a Godzilla fan but my husband is. So, I want to watch this with him now after hearing Joe praise it. Those movies just looked so cheesy but maybe I could give this one a try.

39:25 Slasher movie talk.
I'm also not a fan of those but I love hearing people talk about them. That's the only way I can enjoy cheesy or older movies. The podcasts: Ruined, Dead Meat and Dead Zone Drive-In talk about them scene by scene. It's always so enjoyable hearing people who love something, explain it and I get to see it through their eyes. What I imagine a part looks and sounds like, is better than how the movie shows it. (Most times.)

Also, I love watching Brad Evans react to the Scream movies! He's funny and seeing his joy is the best way to watch movies that aren't for me.

42:59 TV show talk.
I don't like the word, "masterpiece" because it's used when people are thinking about how it ended. The "journey" is more important to me than how a story ends. I know bad endings suck but I can get past it if the rest of it was great. So, I don't really trust Joe and Steve but I'll give the show a try.

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't mind a alien or creature that is humanoid. If the acting, and writing is good, I'll love the story no matter what the alien looks like.

49:06 They talk about new year plans.

The episode ends with them wishing Kevin a Happy Birthday.
