Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of July

100TH EPISODE EXTRAVAGANZA

Please don't start having a lot of guests on because the reason this podcast is funny is because no one is there to talk over you. Besides, you guest on other videos so much that there's no reason for them to get on your show. We are fulfilled by you interacting with funny people elsewhere that we need your show to stay a solo podcast, so we can have your intrusive thoughts without interruption.

7:05 Yup, same.

My five choice of who I would eat dinner with:
1. Corey Taylor
2. Stephen King
3. Jonny Cruz
4. Belle Delphine

35:08 Yes! I recommend these:
Link

45:23 I do this and it's fun!
Every book I buy I plan on keeping forever. I'm not going to try reselling any books so I don't care about it looking brand new. And if I get disappointed with any then I just give them away to Goodwill.

Writing and highlighting in books is a very relaxing hobby.

All my wallpaper is from Hazbin Hotel.

I've had these since last summer. I just can't bring myself to change any of the backgrounds. I love these characters and season 2 starts in October so I wont stop being obsessed with them for a while.

This episode was really fun! I love that you put thought into it. Made a long list and decorated your area. That's more than what other podcasts do. They just say, "Thank you" in the start and then go on like it's a normal episode.

I Love Woke Superman

I'm not into Beyonce but I get it. Same with The Beatles or Ozzy Osbourne. I know they are icons but their music doesn't speak to me.

I'm happy that their music speaks to the people I love because the people I love wouldn't be as great if it wasn't for the influence of Beyonce, Ozzy and The Beatles.

BUT....

Corey Taylor hurt his foot--minutes before the show started, and he still did the whole show while in pain. (And he was not sure if he had broken bones.)

Corey also has pain in his leg but wont quit or just stand still and sing. He wants to entertain fans as much as he can because he knows how expensive it is. He grew up poor. (Had a closet for a bedroom and used the tub as a bed when he was a kid. It's all in his first book.)

He had the flu another time and STILL did the show. Think about singing, screaming, jumping and headbanging while having the fucking flu. Corey Taylor really cares about his fans to not cancel a show if he can help it.

Music is his life. He talks about his time playing on the street for random people, and his time playing on stage for an audience of 7 people and he gives it his all every time.

I wish I had seen him perform when he wasn't famous yet. Those fans are so lucky! He said that he still remembers them!

Dave Grohl broke his leg, went to the hospital and came back to finish his show.

There's other awesome people who care about their fans enjoying a show they paid for so much that they remain calm and professional when something unexpected happens.

27:54 Hahaha!

54:43 ðŸ©¶

Throwing a Tantrum at the Airport

0:39 Steve Zaragoza's twin (RIP headphones users):

Exactly! Just because we complain when a smut book doesn't have much smut in it doesn't mean that's all we care about. I like horror books more than any other type of book but when I'm in the mood for something sexy, I want a lot of sex in it!

Fanfiction usually delivers that better than romance novels. Because fanfiction can skip the background and all the history the character have together, it gets to the spicy stuff quicker.

But I wish romance writers would try to be better than fanfics! At least try and make your characters and lore not a boring slow-burn!

21:14 Yes! I hate that too! And I hate when the main guy has a sad past too. It's boring, stupid and lazy. I don't need to read about them having weak moments together, kills the mood for me. Just make it sexy. I don't need a story about characters healing each other.

Half star reviews are bullshit. When I see someone give a 3 and a half star, that's just a 3 star I see. A 4 and a half star--that's a 4 star. Half stars mean nothing to me.

Labubus are NOT REAL

I don't care about Labubus but I relate to people who like them, because I like anime figures, fan-made keychains, comics and art prints.

I don't spend money on fast food and drinks. I don't buy coffee on the go, I've only had homecooked meals since 2011. It's a big money saver. More money to buy cute toys because I'm not spending it on junk food. ALSO, I don't drink so no money is going towards that.

So, I think your rant about how we need to tell ourselves the internet isn't real and to save money is powerless. Sadly. Once you only eat homecooked meals then maybe you'll have a strong point.

When you moved towards body image NOW your rant will be heard. But telling collectors to stop collecting it's just not going to happen. It's something we have "grow out of" before we can look at our collections and think, "what a waste of money."

22:19 I feel the same way. Instant rage.

43:53 Funny bit.

47:13 Hahaha

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of June

Link

Carrie Bradshaw & Lord Byron

1:04 *White millennial shitposter. That's just you being white but you keep acting like it's just an age thing.

Everything you're describing as belonging to millennials I don't relate to and NONE of my friends relate to. Please just add the extra word.

It's the only think that annoys me about you, Brittany. Stop being lazy and say which millennials you're talking about because the rest of us do. We are clear on which ones we are laughing at or with.

I'm glad you're explaining this show because I'll never watch it.

15:20 100%.

20:59 Ha!

I love the ad read, 10xs better than Dynamic Banter (nowadays).

30:14 Yes! I have that same dream.

32:29 I need to clip this and link it when someone gets pissed that I said:

"Hazbin Hotel > Helluva Boss"
"Mass Effect 3 > Mass Effect 2"
"Christmas > Halloween"

I can't wait to hear your album! I'm so happy and excited for you!

Moose Are Way Too Damn Big

9:17 I wish more people were real about themselves like that.

23:01 Funny bit.

37:55 Hahaha!!

47:03 Be a guest on Let's Get Haunted and talk about cryptids together!

People keep saying, "It's naive to think Earth is the only planet with civilized life. It's stupid to think we are alone in the universe." But it's such a small-minded and overused response when asked if they believe in aliens. They get defensive without having to be.

"Yes, I believe in aliens but I'm smart--see?!--so don't make fun of me for believing!"
No one was going to make fun of you for a popular belief. Chill.
Believing in aliens is so basic like believe in God.

Brittany, you just read a speech that said, "...tell me how there could not be a God! Do you not see God in your science? How can you miss him? You proclaim that even the slightest change in the force of gravity or the weight of an atom would have rendered our universe a lifeless mist. And yet you fail to see God's hand in that?"

It's not foolish to believe that Earth may have won the lottery.
People have made so many amazing things yet small-minded people want to give the credit to aliens instead.

"How did people back then make such big and leveled structures?! Must be aliens!"

"Flying tech that seems so ahead of it's time-must be aliens because no one has ever been ahead of their time before!"

I think that if the answer isn't aliens at area 51 then the world would be disappointed so they really have to believe it's aliens. But they need their belief to not seem foolish. "Believing in aliens isn't stupid, you're stupid for not believing with me! Actually, you're a bad person for thinking we're alone because that means you're narcissistic!"

I do think we are the only civilized intelligence in the universe because I need to see these aliens (that people think have mastered the universe but didn't master not being taken to area 51) to believe it.

Anyway....
1:00:48 Thank you for making me laugh after I typed out my rant.

Talking Oujia Boards with my Ghost Hunter Mother

11:05 This blog.

20:08 Talking about shows like that is fun though! And to think what we were do if we were in the story as one of the characters.

I hate when a fandom feels the need to rush and tell new fans that the next part of a story sucks. Like, it's their fucking job to ruin the excitement of more story. Not giving them time or a choice to see if they would like it without knowing that it's hated.

Because most people are influenced how they feel about something if they know the hate is loud. They either want to join in or they refuse to find anything bad about it just to be different.

1:10:08 Got caught in a lie!
Thank you, Brittany for not editing that out.

Moonbeam Ice Cream & Swans

7:03 You're not stupid, that app is vague because it's bullshit.
It's just a fun way to pass the time.

Brittany saying how much she loves Reddit makes me worried that she has seen the hate on her own subreddit. That sucks!

I hope she doesn't click on posts unless it's fanart of her.

45:22 Same, I'm going to visit Phoenix to in August!
And It's been years since I've been there, I can't wait to see my friends and family. It's going to be a road trip with a friend from high school then coming back on a train with a private room! I'm so excited, I've never been on a train before!

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of May

Peeing in the River

13:30 Here!

I kinda agree that being a night-owl is about being able to enjoy the things we love without being bugged by others. But I love being up during the day too, I just know how to ignore my messages because I'm not glued to my tablet (I don't have a smartphone) like other people are.

I understand what it's like to be addicted to the phone but I haven't been since high school.

You peeing in the river is nasty and funny, Brittany.

39:50 That's so awkward and funny because I understand enjoying videos like that. I used to watch crafty/kawaii channels eat candy from Japan. My favorite was The Hollycopter. (Who I still follow because I love her. She's just herself. She doesn't post for views. It's so hard finding people who use Youtube as a hobby and not a paycheck.)

Also, she's a fan of Brittany!

Again, I recommend Malissa for perfumes (and books). She goes into detail with the scents.

F1 & The New White Boy of the Month

This is the first time I have ever gotten secondhand embarrassment from watching Brittany. Hearing her talk in an British accent for that long was something....

The long bits she would do in the past--with an accent was fine but this is so obviously her being proud of her British accent that it came off embarrassing but also cute because she was fangirling about it, in a way like, when a little kid wants to show you a "cool" trick. It's not cool at all but you just smile and clap because the kid is so happy about it....it's called being polite! It's easy to do!

I've seen in the comments that others also don't like her British accent but they are assholes for saying it where she can read it. They HAVE to add that they couldn't finish the episode and are "so sad!" You people really love playing the victims for the dumbest shit.

Is it that hard to get a blog or journal?! Why do you all NEED Brittany to see what you hate about her? Getting a blog is free if you can't afford a journal.

People like ya'll are the reason Brittany will one day stop sharing herself online.

It's rare to find someone with a big following who is just themselves. But when they do that, we see that they aren't perfect princesses; they have annoying things about them. So, you bitches just loudly and publicly nitpick the fuck out of them until they stop being themselves on camera.
Until they only show the good stuff to seem perfect or mysterious.

Fuck you all. (Ha! Ha!)

And the people that give those comments a thumbs up are just as bad.

Even though I didn't like her talking long like that, I hope she does it again just to piss off those entitled fans who think she needs to make content only according to their fuckin' tastes.

Like what Brittany said in the past; the art is for the artist. Accept it

(Besides I got used to it after 8 minutes so if she does it again, I'll be fine. You all couldn't handle being her friend.)

I hate this stupid; "I'm so sad I can't enjoy something Brittany loves." Grow up and keep that to yourself. You all are shallow and really wouldn't be in her friend group for long:

"Is this a safe space to talk about not liking her music?" Fuck off. You all are talking out of your asses.

It's like giving notes to pop singers; telling them their voices are better suited for metal music or telling rock singers that their voices are better for country music. All music is influenced by other music. Did you expect Brittany to invent a new sound??

51:55 I love that she says her real thoughts out loud. How many other women would admit these embarrassing things? Others would say it as a bit but Brittany means it; she really would've enjoyed it more if they were playing that soundtrack!

(She should replace Mike on Dynamic Banter. Her and Steve would be a dream team podcast.)

58:50 I know, right?!

Leg Cramps & Bird Anatomy

2:04 I feel like screaming Corey Taylor's name just like that because maybe he'll hear me.

I loved her Dunkin' ad read.

27:32 Fuck yeah! I'm happy good things are happening to her left and right!

I love that she explains the inspiration and respect that she put into her Royal Court show.
She's honest with how she thought of her show while others wouldn't say shit and just act like it's an original thought that came into their heads.

Brittany isn't a snake like the haters think she is.

Broski Nation Special Ops

0:52 LOL

So, she wants a gay, cowboy boyfriend but hates westerns? I get it! It's like how I don't like Sailor Moon but I buy the merch for the pink, girly aesthetic.

I think it's cool how our crushes lead us into checking out things that we never would've experienced if not for our interest in someone. Like, how me checking out different bands that Corey Taylor likes. And reading what he said are his favorite Stephen King books.
Or me checking out games my husband loved playing as a kid.

Even if it turns out we didn't like some of those things at least we looked in an area we never would've if not for our obsessions not pointing them out. It's fun feeling connected to that person while we are reading, watching, listening or playing the thing our favorite people loved.

I watched some shitty movies because I had a big crush on Keanu Reaves after playing Cyberpunk 2077.

Corey Taylor acted in two movies, and I had to skip anytime he wasn't on camera. Those were B-rated movies and I hate movies that are shitty on purpose.

Aw! I wish she didn't skip all those questions! It was fun seeing her being nerdy! It's the closest thing to seeing her playing a videogame or playing D&D!

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of April

Stuck In Purgatory

I got into buying used books and loving when they look damaged and vintage. I used to only care about new and perfect books but after watching Malissa, she made me like the look of old books

My dream is to fill a room with my books to make it look like a study or library too! One day we will, Brittany.

10:48 Same.

31:46 I'm hard on myself too when I talk too long and quickly.

33:15 Hahaha

39:19 I worry about my best friend dating. I hope she finds a man who isn't a centrist. I hope she doesn't think that's better than nothing. Find a man who is straight up a feminist!

My songs of the week are by The Marias and Corey Taylor:

1:02:16 I love that passion. It's how I feel for rock and metal music.

Corey Taylor is right, it's a shame that the world doesn't take that genre serious. Lots of talent and touching lyrics being hidden from the world because the world only cares about cheap pop music. (And every subgenre in it.)

Rock and metal can be fun and catchy too but the haters only hear the angry songs when they aren't in the mood for that vibe.

Look around more and you'll find light hearted metal songs.

Mortality & Deli Sandwiches

5:20 I get that. If I ever wrote a song or poem, I would find it fun and exciting posting it but never telling people what every word means. Would be fun seeing their theories.

20:09 I love that bit. This proves that you don't need a guest or a host. Please stay a solo podcast, Brittany.

I fear death and the afterlife too. Brittany explains why perfectly.
I do believe in God, not in religion. It's still scary as a believer though.

I AM OFFICIALLY IRISH

I will never take a book recommendation from someone who ONLY reads romances (or if they ONLY read YA). I can not take their recommendation seriously.

Brittany, I'm sorry you had to find out the hard way that those people only read trash.

I love romance and smut too but it's not the only thing I read to where I hate when other books have longer details on a page. I don't let simple romance books ruin reading for me where I hate when books have "too many words" or have long chapters.

People who complain about those things should realize sooner that what they actually love is just romance stories, but not books. They should transfer over to audiobooks on 2x speed or fanfiction. I would say movies too but there's no porn in them so might not be as satisfying as an easy-to-read smut book so... Look around on this link.

Hope that helps!

Brittany ranting about BookTok being cheap:

They're the reason it's hard to find well written romance novels. Those people keep buying junk so companies keep making junk. It's easy money for them.

I can't wait for the day a well throughout, erotic book is written and sold. Instead of me only finding them here and there or only in fanfiction

It's fine for there to be a lot of shitty fanfictions because that shit is free.
Because fanfics are written by people WITH passion so it's easier to find good fanfics than it is finding good romance books.

But BookTok loves those books more than the books that the author put their soul into. Braindead community. (And it's not just women in the community so don't fuckin' go there.)

Just because it's smut doesn't mean it always HAS to be cheesy. Authors should stop falling in line with the other soulless writers in the romance community.
Having cheesy moments works when it's self-aware and leads to it being cute or sexy. Just don't bank on cliches and popular tropes carrying the whole story!

That's all I'm asking.

41:29 Ew. That sounds so anime. I hate those characters where they're overpowered but still polite and "girlypop". Fuck off with that.

The people in the Youtube comments, and on Reddit, that are upset with Brittany for shit talking this book need to grow up.

Cry baby in the comments: "I loved that book, I felt like I was being bullied :/ "
And that fuckin' comment getting lots of likes is proof that her fans need to get their own lives. Stop getting upset when Brittany doesn't like the same shit as you.

(At least don't get OPENLY upset over her shitting on your favorite book, movie, song, or type of food. Make a blog without sending her the link and rant there. It's fun to not harass people with your frustration! Ya'll should try it. Feels good typing out your feelings without bugging anyone.)

"It's a red flag that Brittany can't understand a good female main character!"

That's what a lot of you sound like. Crazy.

Anyway, I think she would like the Dragon Age books. In he first two novels, the main character is very charming.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of March

Red Bull Turned me into Iron Man

7:30 Thank you. Maybe I will. It has been a while. I will be dancing to a different song though.

22:56 Thank you for this rant.
I hate how the "well actually" people are always in our heads. I try enjoying something but I end up imagining what a hater is saying about it. I wish there was a way to stop having those thoughts!

25:03 I love when a rant turns into a bit and then turns into a tangent.

I feel that level of passion with Alan Wake 1 and 2, Quantum Break and Control. I had so much fucking fun playing these games back to back. They are all in the same universe.

37:28 I understand not going to a dance class. I would feel so shy dancing in front of others. But I remember being into the anime, Sound! Euphonium season 3 that I wanted to try learning an instrument.

43:50 I'm very happy for you, Brittany! I hope your haters see RED every time you show up on their feed.

Gabagool & the French Revolution

Okay! I'll read Red Raising! I just fear it might be too boring with it's lore like The Expanse is. I tried but that show is so fucking boring. People kept comparing it to Mass Effect--my favorite series--and fuck them for tricking me like that!

I did enjoy the Expanse TellTale videogame but only because the characters made it fun, NOT the lore. So, maybe the show gets better in season 2? I don't know. I'll try to watch it again someday.

But for now, I'll check out the first book of Red Raising...from the library.

27:01 I daydream of a different version of myself too. Hahaha!

37:24 Funny bit.

52:02 Same with this Hazbin Hotel fanfiction. (If you don't know, it's about these two male demons adding a woman--an OC--to their sex life. It's so well written and hot. There's many cringy fanfics are out there, so it feels really nice finding hidden gems, where you KNOW the writer COULD/SHOULD write a book someday.)

Her mentioning God of War reminds me that I have to finish that fucking game. I know it's good! Why am I not finishing it?! I need to this year. If I can't play it myself, I need to watch a no commentary playthrough.

58:56 LOL

Left My gallbladder in Italy

This story makes me squeamish. It's interesting but I always get scared of listening to hospital stories because I keep imagining that it's happening to me.

20:33 I LOVED the feeling of jump-cutting through time when I had to get my back teeth pulled out. I was awake then instantly I was in the car with my husband driving. Then I closed my eyes and was home the next time I opened them. It was awesome! I loved not having to deal with being awake during all that.

I'm so grateful to have a husband who can drive and carry me, no problem. He was stressed because he thought I was in pain the whole time but I wasn't. I was apparently asking questions and talking with my eyes open but I don't remember any of that. Fucking awesome!

30:52 I'm so happy for you!! I love imagining all the haters and your ex-friends being so pissed at how talented you are and the internet knows it too now! I'm happy you went viral to get to this point in your life.

And I can't wait to buy your music.

Please collab with Corey Taylor who loves music as strongly as you--if not stronger since music saved him; made him not want to end his life as a teen--because he has so much fun with his Stone Sour and CMFT bands where it's not just dark themes like his music with Slipknot.

I love the first album of CMFT because the booklet the CD comes with can be opened up into a poster of a collage of photos. It's of them working on the album. It's so fun and makes it feel like a punk-rock band that came out in the early 2000s. I felt like a teenager again listening to it. (It came out in 2020.)

I can hear Corey Taylor smiling as he sings these songs. I love feeling how much fun he had writing and singing and playing with this band.

I really hope you meet him meet and become friends.

36:13 Exactly.

My songs of the month are just Corey Taylor; his three bands:

Song is about his friend that past away who was in Slipknot:

Only when the fates commiserate
Do we get a little taste as unique?
The libertine,
Know what I mean?
Hiroshima on a Sunday
You had a gift, you were a gift
But there's always a goddamn catch
Blessing and a curse, you made it work
The universe seems so much smaller
Legend!
Bastard!
Best friend!
Why?
Why do the limits have to realign
Hero!
Martyr!
Mystery!
God - he was the best of us
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
Never be the same, I want the blame
To be assigned to the guiltiest one
It can't be done, because the son
Was the victim they arrested
I'm so fucking pissed at all of this
You gotta know that you are sorely missed
Miracles are real
They help you heal
They make you feel
Like things will get better
Father, brother, scapegoat, why?
Why did we only skip this time?
Fighter, icon, Skeptic
God - stop taking the best of us
I won't let you disappear
I will keep your soul alive if I can't have you here
History may have its share of lunatics and stars
But the world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Where am I supposed to begin?
I'm killing for the karma again
Feed the meter in the machine
Believing is the way to be seen
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - we're not alone
I can't let you disappear
I will keep your soul alive if I can't have you here
We were meant to be the kings
Rule the masses, run the risk
And keep our systems clean
History may have its share of lunatics and stars
But the world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see
(will never see)
Another crazy motherfucker like you
(like you)
Like you
(like you)
Like you

I think metal is the best way to feel how angry the singer can get vs any other type of music genres.

Metal is much more therapeutic with releasing real frustration. I like to hear singers scream into the mic, even if they don't make metal music--I want more singers to put yells into their pissed off songs.

Just use the screams like an extra instrument vs treading them like just lyrics.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of February

Sherlock Holmes Crash Course

Can't wait for the day she admits that it never was "millennial cringe" it's white cringe.

Also, AAVE has been around before you were born!
Zoomers have co-opted AAVE and are calling it theirs.

I love you, Brittany but that part of you will always annoy me.

(This. Context matters.)

So, stop kidding yourselves, it's whiteness that all lot of you are really laughing at.

But a lot of white people are just being themselves when they joke. You all should try being a little creative too:

48:00 Yup. Looking at you, Jessica and Barbara!

DO NOT Learn the History of Valentine's Day

3:56 Exactly. Men aren't sneaky just because some women let it slide. I'm glad women are going online to call them out and encourage other women to do the same.

16:40 Haha! Sounds like a shitty teacher.

You should follow Malissa for perfume recommendations.
And her videos are cozy and she has good tastes in books.

I miss your vlogs, Brittany!

Started My Period in Churchill's War Room

4:57 I agree! Good art makes you still think about it after it ends. Good art makes you want to talk about it with someone.

People who hated Hereditary just because of the ending, are stupid. It's so fun to talk about this movie with other horror nerds and go back to see the clues I missed the first time. That ending made me want to understand it more by looking it up online.

This movie made a grown ass man rage on any movie with cults in it after he seen it. That's how mad Hereditary made him. But he loves slasher movies like the Scream series? Okay, so he just hates good writing? Got it. "How dare a movie trick me and make me feel dread and outsmarted! I like slashers better because I understand everything that's going on! No thinking or paying attention to the backgrounds are needed!"

I really hate when people enjoy the fuck out of a movie until the last few minutes and then act like they hated the whole thing from the start. The journey was either enjoyable or it wasn't, rather or not the ending is satisfying.

I've seen a reaction channel where one of the girls was hiding behind a pillow the whole time until the end and said, "The movie wasn't even scary!" Stop lying to yourselves.

But if it was the other way around and the story was bad but the ending was awesome, (The Curse) then that's when I feel like it was a waste of time. I don't think an awesome ending will ever be strong enough to make a boring journey worth watching.

But a strong build up of a journey will always be worth it no matter how it ends. (Mass Effect 3) Because there's so much to talk about with a good chunk of it!

And I loved Hereditary's ending, by the way. 🤘 And the book of Stephen King's IT.

Again, I think Brittany should check out Malissa! She loves perfume. I don't know anything about perfume, I just follow her for the cozy vlogs. Her voice is very peaceful, she doesn't do ASMR stuff but it feels like it is that type of content!

My songs of the week are all by Electric Callboy:

Spaceman:

We Got the Moves:

Pump It:

Elevator Operator:

Discussing the Lamp Dream

Men not cleaning their ass because it's "gay" is an American thing, right? The dumbest men in the world are in this country.

13:37 Creepypasta!

I like that she makes fun of the choice to use the word, "bore" for "she bore me a child." Because that shit pisses me off when people speak like that online. It's cringy and a dead giveaway that a story is fake because it's trying to sound intelligent. It's so bad.

Let's Get Haunted will read posts on Reddit if it's part of the story and so many fuckers type like that. Ew. (But please connect with Nat and Aly and talk about haunted stuff! Nat said she loves you!)

Plus, they have an episode where they talk about the Hat Man too!

43:10 I want her to breakdown some of the songs I listen to. Because I feel like screaming like that too when I see dumbass Youtubers react to The Heretic Anthem by Slipknot and think he's talking about the devil 🙃:

"I'm a popstar threat and I'm not dead yet
Got a super dread bet with an angel drug head
Like a dead beat winner, I wanna be a sinner
An idolized bang for the industry killer
A hideous man that you don't understand
Throw a suicide party and I'm guaranteed to fucking snap
It's evil sonic, it's pornoholic
Breakdowns, obscenities its all I want to be

If you're 555, then I'm 666

But if you're 555, I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?

Everybody's so infatuated
Everybody's so completely sure of what we are
Everybody defamates from miles away
But face to face they haven't got a thing to say
I bleed for this and I bleed for you
Still you look at my face like I'm somebody new
Toy, nobody wants anything I've got
Which is fine because you're made of everything I'm not

If you're 555, then I'm 666

Well if you're 555, I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?

Thirty seconds, sixteen, eight, four, lemme tell you why
I haven't the slightest, I'm teaching your brightest
They're listening, clamoring
All the money in the world can't buy me
Go ahead, lie to me
Tell me again how you're tortured
I want to know how you followed your orders so well
You're full of shit
You had a dream, but this ain't it

If you're 555, I'm 666

If you're 555, then I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?"

When this is what the song is really about:

And I want her to breakdown some songs by System Of A Down! They have strong things to say:

(I love his breakdowns. Yes, he says some dad jokes in a lot of his videos but just move past that because I love that he talks about the style of the music and the singing as well as breaking down the lyrics.)

I've seen a video of two dumbass guys disapproving of one of System Of A Down's songs from their first album because it was about suicide AND made you want to headbang to it. It was stupid how they treaded that song like it shouldn't exist. As if all heavy messages in art should be boring; "because making it entertaining is disrespectful and fucked up!" Very closed minded.

Art can be entertaining while telling a dark and painful message.

Anyway, I would love for more people, like Brittany, who love pop, hip-hop, country or rap to give metal and rock music a chance. And listen to what they have to share. It's not just "screaming into a microphone" or "satanic music". It's poetry too; just like every other music genre out there.

(Although, I don't understand how other people let out all their anger without screaming in their music. A lot of Slipknot songs are about bullying and abuse: "Is there another way to live? 'Cause it's the only way to die. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm not supposed to be! Come on" Now doesn't that feel so satisfying hearing him yell that anger out? Metal is so good for finding someone to scream out your frustrations with.)

Every genre has bad music, bad apples. But to act like a whole genre is bad just because people want to be lazy and generalize rock music because they heard a song they didn't like or didn't even try to understand, is snobby.

And then there's the fuckers in the metal community that want to add sub-genres in metal and rock.... 🙄 Shut up, stop being picky with what labels go with what band, and just listen and find what vibes with you.

Stop limiting your tastes by what's popular or indie. Or going by what's old or new.
Sometimes trash is popular and sometimes the songs deserve the hype.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of January

Broski Royal Ballet School Is Now Open

2:14 In a Steve Zaragoza voice: "Edit pooiinnt!"

Her ranting about people buying too much just to make haul videos is how annoyed I get when I watch people buy the whole manga series that they haven't read yet. So much money wasted on something they might not even like! (I know it's not my problem that's why I'm complaining here, in my space, and not on their channel, in their space.)

And they always hide it behind other manga they actually like and forget about those books for months anyways!

It's satisfying when I find a channel that thinks twice about what they buy. That they don't spend money for content. I want a look into someone's realistic cozy moments of their week and sharing their hauls, I don't want them to act like a store, trying to sell me something and coming off fake.

15:49 Fine...but I want to follow you everywhere because I'm a fangirl! The haters ruin everything.

I disagree that the rating system only going up to 5 stars is unfair.
How hard is it to tell the difference between a 2 star and a 3 star? Or a 4 and a 5 star?

Maybe don't easily give out 4 and 5 stars left and right if you want your 2 and 3 stars to matter. I still recommend my 2 star reads because they aren't a 1 star for a reason! I liked something about them.

Your 3.5, 4.2, and 4.9 ratings doesn't mean shit to me.

3.5? That's a 3.

4.2? That's a 4.

4.9? That's a 4!

If it's not a 5, it's a 4! Fuck the point system.

And fuck the 10 star system:

2s, 3s, and 4s are treated the fucking same.

5s and 6s are treated the fucking same.

7s and 8s are treated the fucking same.

9s and 10s are treated the fucking same!

It's perfect with only 5 stars:
1 = hated it
2 = didn't like it
3 = it's alright
4 = really liked it
5 = loved it

I hope Goodreads never changes it's rating system. Use a different site for the bullshit, long rating system. If you want more room to rate a book well that's what the fucking "review" box is for!

Wouldn't shock me if in the future people demanded a 20 star rating system.

"I give this an 17.3 because it's the best thing I've ever read."

"I give this an 11.8 because it's the worst thing I've ever read."

Pointless.

Goodreads should just piss them off even more and switch to a thumbs up or a thumbs down system.

22:50 Exactly. Art isn't always about being relatable. It's about seeing what the artist created and if we understand. Liking the art is a plus. Relating to it is a plus. Art being relatable shouldn't be what makes it good or bad.

(Another reason why rating something is just for fun, for ourselves. Not something that needs to be taken serious and demand that Goodreads have a "better" rating system because only having 5 stars is "unfair.")

I wish the Youtubers who loved Mass Effect would stop letting their fans tell them that Andromeda is shit or that the red ending is the best ending.

Is it hard to form your own opinions before looking around for others? A lot of Youtubers are stuck in their own echo chamber. Stop looking at your comments and looking at what your friends are posting, and just form your own feelings without knowing what the world thinks about it first.

Be shocked after you finish it that most people hated it while you loved it.
Be shocked that most people loved it while you hated it.

Stop thinking there is a right or wrong way to feel about art. Ignore everyone else and focus how art makes you feel.

I like that Brittany will put her foot down and argue with her fanbase.

The fans that complain about Brittany's book and movie takes need to shut up and stop overthinking that her opinion is toxic just because she didn't like a female character.

Go bake yourself a cookie and pat yourself on the back for being able to understand and love every "girlboss" character you come across. But some of those fucking characters are cringy because they're written just to pander to a certain audience. Simple minded white women.

24:33 Yes! This is what Corey Taylor hates about most popular songs. Which he calls plastic music.

He talks about how satisfying it is to write music in a band and how that energy brings them together.

He talks about how satisfying it is to write a song on his own and sharing it with his band to see if they vibe with it too. He says that he has a lot of unreleased songs written in his notes because they're not ready to be public.

Brittany is right that art is for the artist. We just happen to be allowed to experience it too. We should be grateful each time an artist chooses to release stuff because they could choose to make it all private and enjoy their art alone.

She's right that we can tell when something is made just to be a hit and when it's made with real emotion that just happens to become a hit. We can tell. Corey Taylor says the same thing in his third book and on his radio show, A Series of Bleeps.

When Corey was really sick in a hotel room and had the TV on a music channel while he kept having to go throw up in the toilet, he would hear bad songs playing and each shitty song would annoy him more and more, because he was waiting for something good to finally play.

And that's how he came up with the song, Through Glass (understand the lyrics instead of just singing along):

I really want Brittany and Corey Taylor to meet and talk about music, books, movies and history!

(Corey Taylor loves history as much as she does.)

Also, I would love for him to tell her to shut the fuck up about complaining about her age. I agree with him that being 30 years old is nothing to cry about.

Count Orlok Teaches Thermodynamics

3:43 Yup. Fuck the people that tell us to leave if we hate what's happening to our home. Give me the money to leave or shut up.

21:20 I would feel pissed off too! I don't miss Phoenix, I can still perfectly remember how it feels to walk into a hot room. It sucks living there.

32:52 Haha! It's okay, Brittany. I say dumb stuff all the time but you're brave for not editing it out. And I love that he wont make music in English.

41:14 This is why The Broski Report works as a solo podcast. Its funny seeing her argue with herself.

42:21 - 43:36 Funny bit.

47:41 Corey Taylor would love her. I'm telling you all. Help me to get her interested in his music. Maybe not his band, Slipknot but Stone Sour! Or his solo stuff and collabs.

I wish more white people were this honest. That's so funny.

58:08 Yes please. Sorry your fans get easily offended when they find out you have different tastes than them.

Is it that hard for fans to complain to themselves instead of needing their anger to find agreement to create a gossip group?

Stop sharing your complaints under her videos or in her DMs. Or on Reddit.

Make a blog that no one knows about or buy a journal.

(I forgot which episode this was under but it fits here.)

I'd Raher Die Alone

At least I have a Broski Report to watch and an episode of Stephen Cobert. Thank you both for finding ways to make me laugh during this hellish time.

51:17 I'm sorry she had to go through that. That man was so lucky to be with her and he fucked it up because she's funnier than him. I bet he steals her jokes to impresses his friends. He wishes he had her talent.

This is my song of the week because of the heartless men in the country being loud right now:

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of December

George Orwell & Dragons

9:13 Hahaha! Her "valley girl" bit will always be funny.

I respect that she can love a book and be impressed by how someone shits on it to where she wants to read the book that person thinks is better.

Obviously it depends on how they word it and if someone is in the right mood to get other takes. But when you're open to seeing other sides to media you love, it intensifies your feelings for it, to understand why someone seen something in a different way when they tried to like it.

Her talking about how she has certain authors she reads after certain books: I read Stephen King after reading a shitty romance book. I just need to read a well written book after wasting my time with trash demanding to be taken serious.

I have given a low rating to some of Stephen King's books but not because it was badly written. With romance novels, 100% my low rating is because of the bad writing, not because of the scenarios. Be toxic, problematic, and unrealistic as fuck but write it good.

So, if I find a good romance book it feels like finding a rare trading card.

Auditioning For The Live-Action Shark Tale

2:35 Funny rant.

6:19 It's okay, Brittany. I like weird fictional men too. I'm attracted to the TV man, Vox:

And his moth man friend, Valentino from Hazbin Hotel:

I still can't wait for her to find Corey Taylor's music and finds a mask she likes to see him in. I like them all but that fucking clear one and the first mask looked like shit too, lets be honest. The revamped version of that first mask is so much better. And the red glowing eyes are awesome:

Slipknot also were anonymous for a bit in 1999 to the 2000s. Fans said when this music video came out they were excited to try and get glimpses of their faces. That shit sounds so fun! I hate that I missed it:

(Come on, how can Brittany not find this interesting?! Please see this someday.)

Plus, he hates cheap music. She would love his first and third books where he talks about that.

51:18 I think Steve Zaragoza needs to see this so he can be chill with this actor already.

I hope the friend that leaked her private video and the friends that used her text message for content are so jealous 💅

Become friends with Holly:

And Sachie:

They both have cute Youtube channels and are really active on Instagram. They seem like awesome, chill and nice people. Plus, they both love your content! (I can see that they like a lot of your Instagram videos.)

Fuck yeah, Brittany! You're real, you're kind, you're funny and your favorite celebrities see that! As you lose the bad friends, you're deepening your connection with the good ones and gaining better friends who see the drama you're connected to, they will know where your heart is.

When you can see how talented someone is with their humor but their fanbase sucks ass, it's hard being a fan. But now, with the proof that he sucks WITH his fans, that means we need to see someone's fanbase as a red flag IF the Youtuber isn't trying to call out the fans in any way

That's tricky because Rooster Teeth wouldn't stop their fans from being shitty in the comments either but RT has turned out to be really good people who started to crack down on the toxic part of their community. They explained that they didn't do it sooner because they lived by the rule, "Don't feed the trolls." But that doesn't work when the trolls are taking control of the community.

So, maybe other Youtubers are still living by that "don't-feed-the-trolls" rule or maybe they are secretly a piece of shit who quietly agrees with their fanbase.

I don't think it's that easy to know when someone is a bigot or just using dark humor.

If I wasn't a fan of RT, I would most likely think that all the hosts of Achievement Hunter were bigots with how edgy their jokes used to be. I might see some clips out of context and think, "ew no."

For me, those jokes really did come off as jokes, and they were. It was like watching South Park, a show I love a lot. Old and current episodes. I love dark and fucked up humor. And that doesn't make me evil.

Just like people who love dark and smutty romances are not evil.
Just like people who have a favorite villain are not evil.

Comedy, books-any art is an escape. I don't need to relate to every single piece of art that I like but if you do need to in order to enjoy it then you will not understand me. Go try to find a movie, book, song or videogame that you really enjoy but cannot relate to at all. Then you'll get it.

But RT joking like that a lot is lazy now and they have matured and joke differently. It was so easy for them to wake up and change their behavior once they seen that people's feelings where getting hurt. They wanted to change the vibe and did!

People aren't perfect and of course fans don't have to forgive them, everyone knows where the unfollow button is. Use it or don't. But don't harass people who are still fans of a channel when no proof has been shown that the Youtbers are pieces of shit.

And when proof does appear, you can scream or sing that it was obvious all you want but it wasn't.

Tell me the difference between Rooster Teeth's dark humor and Theo Von's dark humor.
RT turned out to be anti-trump while Theo Von turned out to be pro-trump.

Don't lie and say that it's always easy to clock someone as a bigot because both of those channels had red flags.

Red flags = suspicions
Red flags aren't proof.

"Well then, don't be fans of people with a red flag." Everyone has a red flag. Name anyone with a following and I'll find their toxic trait. Your friends and family have them. You and I have them.

God's Brother: Santa Claus

24:06 - 25:26 I don't know how people don't find her funny.

28:02 Ha! Have her on Dynamic Banter right now! Those boys make fun of that song every year now but make really funny bits out of it.

33:16 I hope she finds a funny hot, male celebrity who will love her and treat her right. 🩷

Broski Report Wrapped: 2024

Flashback episode!

I hope you had a fun or relaxing Christmas, Brittany.
