Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of February

Sherlock Holmes Crash Course

Can't wait for the day she admits that it never was "millennial cringe" it's white cringe.

Also, AAVE has been around before you were born!
Zoomers have co-opted AAVE and are calling it theirs.

I love you, Brittany but that part of you will always annoy me.

(This. Context matters.)

So, stop kidding yourselves, it's whiteness that all lot of you are really laughing at.

But a lot of white people are just being themselves when they joke. You all should try being a little creative too:

48:00 Yup. Looking at you, Jessica and Barbara!

DO NOT Learn the History of Valentine's Day

3:56 Exactly. Men aren't sneaky just because some women let it slide. I'm glad women are going online to call them out and encourage other women to do the same.

16:40 Haha! Sounds like a shitty teacher.

You should follow Malissa for perfume recommendations.
And her videos are cozy and she has good tastes in books.

I miss your vlogs, Brittany!

Started My Period in Churchill's War Room

4:57 I agree! Good art makes you still think about it after it ends. Good art makes you want to talk about it with someone.

People who hated Hereditary just because of the ending, are stupid. It's so fun to talk about this movie with other horror nerds and go back to see the clues I missed the first time. That ending made me want to understand it more by looking it up online.

This movie made a grown ass man rage on any movie with cults in it after he seen it. That's how mad Hereditary made him. But he loves slasher movies like the Scream series? Okay, so he just hates good writing? Got it. "How dare a movie trick me and make me feel dread and outsmarted! I like slashers better because I understand everything that's going on! No thinking or paying attention to the backgrounds are needed!"

I really hate when people enjoy the fuck out of a movie until the last few minutes and then act like they hated the whole thing from the start. The journey was either enjoyable or it wasn't, rather or not the ending is satisfying.

I've seen a reaction channel where one of the girls was hiding behind a pillow the whole time until the end and said, "The movie wasn't even scary!" Stop lying to yourselves.

But if it was the other way around and the story was bad but the ending was awesome, (The Curse) then that's when I feel like it was a waste of time. I don't think an awesome ending will ever be strong enough to make a boring journey worth watching.

But a strong build up of a journey will always be worth it no matter how it ends. (Mass Effect 3) Because there's so much to talk about with a good chunk of it!

And I loved Hereditary's ending, by the way. ๐Ÿค˜ And the book of Stephen King's IT.

Again, I think Brittany should check out Malissa! She loves perfume. I don't know anything about perfume, I just follow her for the cozy vlogs. Her voice is very peaceful, she doesn't do ASMR stuff but it feels like it is that type of content!

My songs of the week are all by Electric Callboy:

Spaceman:

We Got the Moves:

Pump It:

Elevator Operator:

Discussing the Lamp Dream

Men not cleaning their ass because it's "gay" is an American thing, right? The dumbest men in the world are in this country.

13:37 Creepypasta!

I like that she makes fun of the choice to use the word, "bore" for "she bore me a child." Because that shit pisses me off when people speak like that online. It's cringy and a dead giveaway that a story is fake because it's trying to sound intelligent. It's so bad.

Let's Get Haunted will read posts on Reddit if it's part of the story and so many fuckers type like that. Ew. (But please connect with Nat and Aly and talk about haunted stuff! Nat said she loves you!)

Plus, they have an episode where they talk about the Hat Man too!

43:10 I want her to breakdown some of the songs I listen to. Because I feel like screaming like that too when I see dumbass Youtubers react to The Heretic Anthem by Slipknot and think he's talking about the devil ๐Ÿ™ƒ:

"I'm a popstar threat and I'm not dead yet
Got a super dread bet with an angel drug head
Like a dead beat winner, I wanna be a sinner
An idolized bang for the industry killer
A hideous man that you don't understand
Throw a suicide party and I'm guaranteed to fucking snap
It's evil sonic, it's pornoholic
Breakdowns, obscenities its all I want to be

If you're 555, then I'm 666

But if you're 555, I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?

Everybody's so infatuated
Everybody's so completely sure of what we are
Everybody defamates from miles away
But face to face they haven't got a thing to say
I bleed for this and I bleed for you
Still you look at my face like I'm somebody new
Toy, nobody wants anything I've got
Which is fine because you're made of everything I'm not

If you're 555, then I'm 666

Well if you're 555, I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?

Thirty seconds, sixteen, eight, four, lemme tell you why
I haven't the slightest, I'm teaching your brightest
They're listening, clamoring
All the money in the world can't buy me
Go ahead, lie to me
Tell me again how you're tortured
I want to know how you followed your orders so well
You're full of shit
You had a dream, but this ain't it

If you're 555, I'm 666

If you're 555, then I'm 666
What's it like to be a heretic?"

When this is what the song is really about:

And I want her to breakdown some songs by System Of A Down! They have strong things to say:

(I love his breakdowns. Yes, he says some dad jokes in a lot of his videos but just move past that because I love that he talks about the style of the music and the singing as well as breaking down the lyrics.)

I've seen a video of two dumbass guys disapproving of one of System Of A Down's songs from their first album because it was about suicide AND made you want to headbang to it. It was stupid how they treaded that song like it shouldn't exist. As if all heavy messages in art should be boring; "because making it entertaining is disrespectful and fucked up!" Very closed minded.

Art can be entertaining while telling a dark and painful message.

Anyway, I would love for more people, like Brittany, who love pop, hip-hop, country or rap to give metal and rock music a chance. And listen to what they have to share. It's not just "screaming into a microphone" or "satanic music". It's poetry too; just like every other music genre out there.

(Although, I don't understand how other people let out all their anger without screaming in their music. A lot of Slipknot songs are about bullying and abuse: "Is there another way to live? 'Cause it's the only way to die. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm not supposed to be! Come on" Now doesn't that feel so satisfying hearing him yell that anger out? Metal is so good for finding someone to scream out your frustrations with.)

Every genre has bad music, bad apples. But to act like a whole genre is bad just because people want to be lazy and generalize rock music because they heard a song they didn't like or didn't even try to understand, is snobby.

And then there's the fuckers in the metal community that want to add sub-genres in metal and rock.... ๐Ÿ™„ Shut up, stop being picky with what labels go with what band, and just listen and find what vibes with you.

Stop limiting your tastes by what's popular or indie. Or going by what's old or new.
Sometimes trash is popular and sometimes the songs deserve the hype.

Don't interrupt. Just listen.

(You're Making Me Hate You by Corey Taylor)

In his fourth book, America 51, Corey talks about how both sides need to work on themselves and he points out where. AND he says that if someone reading his book is a fascist, he tells them to burn his book because those people are not what he's talking about when he mentions "both sides." Corey is talking about people who have some humanity.

His book, gives me hope of finding people who will listen, doesn't interrupt and waits their turn to voice their thought. That's how we get along, by not shutting up the other person before they can finish their point.

I didn't know teddygreyonstuff was anti-feminist for months because I was enjoying his reactions to songs I grew up with. I never watched his reactions to hip hop or pop. If I did, maybe I would've noticed this side of him sooner.

teddy and other reactors made me see how good Slipknot is and how talented Corey Taylor is. I was a casual listener before but now I'm a big fan. I know Slipknot more after all the interviews I've watched, going down the rabbit hole of Corey Taylor.

I read all of Corey's books and am glad to know he is a good man. The things I disagree with him on are nothing big because I know where his heart is. He talks about why he believes what he stans for and it doesn't come from a place where he only cares about his own pain. He cares for everyone's freedom and rights.

He does his own research and doesn't get his opinions from television or people with podcasts and Youtube channels.

Corey hates nazis and understands that not every trump supporter is a nazi. Every trump supporter is stupid though but stupid people aren't all evil.

So, thank you, teddy for being one of the people to shine a light on Corey's writing, singing and personality. But I guess, that's all you were good for.

It's delicious thinking about teddy HATING Corey's books after become such a big fan of his. Based off teddy's reaction to this song, his "respect" for Corey would immediately disappear when he reads ONE thing he disagrees with:

Link
(And a Youtube link just in case Tiktok gets blocked someday.)

(This last comment made me laugh so much that I had to add it.)

In the screenshots below; agree or disagree with Corey Taylor's anger about music but it's a fact that songs are made cheaper now. (Corey hates lazy music made to be a "hit" vs teddy hating songs made for women.)

(From his third book.)

The anger teddy shows towards a simple song is frustrating, overdramatic and a little funny

A weak apology just so he can be free to react to XG songs again. Why didn't he apologize as soon as he found out he misunderstood the song? ALSO, if the song really was about controlling men, his rage was still uncalled for.

Plus, this comment is under that video:

teddy hasn't grown since his temper tantrum. His apology was four months ago and these next red flags are from this week:

(I don't get why he thought people would be screaming those things in this music video but whatever.)

And with more context on his views, I see now that he is more than a just red flag.

(Also, here's a hint on which word is worse: one word is censored and the other word isn't.)

This was under the Green Day video:

This is the comment that made me google his username. THEN I found out about his sexist views. I only watched his rock/metal reactions so that is why it took me a while to see who he really is.

That is not what the song is about. It's about challenging the listener to face their problems head-on instead of avoiding them. Everyone has problems and not everyone gives up so they're saying the listener shouldn't either because we are all going to die anyway. Live your life before that happens.

Also, this reaction was in August but I only just seen it this week.
As you can see, his apology means nothing. But people who aren't on his Patreon wont see this side of him to know that it means nothing.

(Fun fact: Corey Taylor wanted to be a history teacher.)

Link
(Corey knows understandable outrage vs overdramatic outrage.)

I cancelled my Patreon ($3 tier, luckily I only paid for 2 months) but I can't be completely silent about me unfollowing him. I hope this post finds someone who isn't sure about teddy after coming across one of these red flags.

He still belittles women (Again, this was posted this week):

Who gives a fuck if she, or any other woman, wants to be half naked in their music? Men go shirtless in their music videos and concerts but women can't show off their skin too?

To blame women again is such a tired angle at this point.

You are such a hypocrite.

"Men fear women will laugh at them. Women fear men will kill them."

Yes, men have problems too, obviously! Stop playing oppression Olympics every time someone shares their experience that men can't relate to.

Feminists fight for men too.

Corey Taylor books reminds the readers that people are complicated so I know teddy isn't an evil person. He's just someone I hate now. Hate isn't just reserved for evil. So, don't think I'm deluding myself into thinking teddy is a monster. If he was a monster, I wouldn't have loved so many of his reactions to rock music.

The reactions were raw and familiar, he took me back to the feelings when I first heard those songs 20+ years ago. It was fun seeing how amazed and moved he was listening to metal. I wish more people knew a long time ago how poetic metal songs can be. It's not "devil music" or "violent music."

I'm just upset to find out that teddy defends trump, hates feminists and women showing off their bodies. If you've seen a lot of his videos then you'll know he's not evil, just fucking stupid.

Here are some other reaction channels who love Corey Taylor's music (in no real order but The Charismatic Voice is my favorite at the moment):

-Knox Hill
He analysis the lyrics but doesn't try to twist the meaning to relate to him. He just wants to understand them.

-The Charismatic Voice
She analysis vocals and not really the lyrics. Sometimes she does but in most videos, she just focuses on vocal sounds and the visuals in music videos. Slipknot would be very fuckin' proud to see her look at and hear every little thing in this music video. She points out stuff I didn't see before AND other reactors don't mention.

(Plus, she has a cute and polite personally. Reminds me of Trisha Hershberger and Rosanna Pansino a bit.)

-Trash Talkers

-Alex Hefner

-DantesWRLD

-MollyBoyTV

-The Vocalyst
Her rock music journey is fun to watch. She falls in love with a lot of the rockers' voices.

-Robert Houghton
They haven't posted in a year because they are going through a hard time at the moment. Check out their Instagram if you want to know. But the videos they do have up are interesting perspectives to watch if you're up for it.

(Also, a good example that metal isn't about the devil, this song is about hating cheap music.)

-Key of Geebz
I love that he points this out.

Corey hates when people are famous for nothing. Entitled people who use other people's talent to boot their status because they have no talent of their own to get famous from. That describes teddygreyonstuff perfectly. No one knows him for his music. People know him as the guy reacting to other people's music.

Listen, do what you can to pay your bills but you better be grateful for how you're doing it. Don't act like the talent your reacting to should be thanking you for your channel. You should be thanking them for creating content you use. (I don't know how teddy isn't embarrassed about being a 30-year-old man who was ranting at teenage girls.)

I love that Corey Taylor got teddy to get down on his knees:

----
After going over everything one last time before posting this, I found this video. I tried looking up the songs that were dissing teddy but couldn't find anything. I didn't look hard because I'm done anyway. I'll just share this video if you want to look into it more yourselves:

About teddy buying subs for his Youtube, all I could find about his channel being deleted was this:

Don't know if this guy is telling the whole truth about teddy but that's just another reason to always do your research vs listening to rumors. It's obvious this guy talking shit hates teddy grey BUT is it justified or is he just happy there's finally a good reason to make fun of teddy?

Do the work of looking up the facts because I don't need more reasons to unsub from teddy but if you do, you know where to continue the search.
----

Maybe Corey's words, in America 51, will get through to teddy and he'll actually change and try to understand others in his comment sections. Instead of "lol" at them. Never know. This could end with some hope of understanding each other.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - Month of June

Which Horror Movies Actually Scared Us?

0:23 White boy dance moves.

I feel like a lot of horror stories just loves to torture women. While men die quickly or off screen. I think that's another reason Saw's torture porn is better than others because it tortures both men and women equally. Plus, it has an okay story.

I need more from horror than, "these girls are this monster's next victims for the day because they're hot."

I like listening to people talk about shitty horror because it's funny but I wouldn't waste my time by watching it. I get so picky with movies and shows that if it's not good in 10 minutes, I drop it. Sometimes less than that based on the acting.

A horror movie that scared me is Sinister (2012).

What Elliott had to say in the podcast description:

I'm so happy Fortnite is doing very well. There's so many modes and characters. Pubg never stood a chance. Apex Legends made Fortnite better but then moved into the background. I love the creative seasons Fortnite does that other games don't do.

Fortnite makes it where it levels the playing field for a bit by adding in bots to make causal players (me) feel good getting a kill. And it levels the field every new event and season, making the hardcore gamers cry they can't win the same way ๐Ÿ˜

22:10 All they have to do is relax and the normal game mode will be back in another section. Like, how there's build mode and no build mode. Fuck that guy.

I hope they add in Hazbin Hotel and more anime characters in the game. I want to play as Valentino and 2B!

27:57 You should watch Hazbin Hotel, Joe! I think you would love it! A24 is backing it.

The ending! LOL

NEVER AGAIN WILL WE PODCAST PAST 8PM

The shoe story was great because when they throw in bits, I can imagine this being a skit.

5:22 I agree, Elliott.

9:43 lol She sounds great!

12:07 So funny that he didn't want to watch another movie after wasting time with that one. He had 11 hours to kill and only watched one movie ๐Ÿ˜‚

I seen the Instagram stories of Steve's birthday. The Karaoke bar looked so fun. Steve and Joe really are Karaoke titans. I miss them streaming Twitch Sings ๐Ÿ’”

American Son is a movie I recommend if you're wanting to watch something that makes you sad and drained. It's hard to hear this topic again but also interesting; you can't stop and want to see how it will end.

31:22 I hope you know, Elliott that your fans love you're old stuff still. I've actually been rewatching old Sourcefed Nerd videos and you're all still funny as fuck. No matter how much you all change and grow, you are funny and talented.

It's weird that the boys think 80% of their old stuff is bad.
The only thing I can look back on is nerdy videos I made out of boredom and I love them still. Maybe one or two were a waste but I recently lost my main Youtube channel. I was able to get most of my video files back through the google account sending them to my email. And I watched them all and I love the videos I made.

I don't have any home videos of my childhood so I guess maybe that is why I really love my vlogs and geeky video edits; it makes me think of a certain point in time where I loved something but now I'm into different stuff.

Joe's camera not working at the end was so funny. I know they are frustrated but I actually enjoyed it lol!

Discussing Roller Coasters AND KEVIN LOSES IT

Kevin makes me never want to have rabbits as pets.

I wish I could go to one of those Movie hangouts with Steve. Sounds like a fun time. Like I said before, I hate watching bad movies but I do love hearing people talk about bad movies. And I would love to watch bad movies if I was high and hanging out with people laughing at it.

26:22 Elliott's message ๐Ÿ‘Œ

When they talk about the ride malfunctioning and keeping people upside down, in the air for 26 minutes, I immediately thought that sounded fun ๐Ÿคท "Oh, no one died? I wish I could experience that then!" Sounds exciting if I knew it would take less than an hour to get back safe ๐Ÿ‘€

47:32 LOL

49:36 LOL!!!

52:21 Another message from Elliott.

56:02 Shut up, Steve. The Boys S4 is perfect ๐Ÿ˜Ž

What Pet Should Elliott Get?

I like puppies and small dogs. Not a fan of big dogs. They're fine on screen or far away through.

10:04 lol

13:22 I was just thinking a lot about concerts for the past two weeks because I've been really wanting to go see Slipknot live. I wish I had gone when I was little, back when they weren't so expensive and my dad would've paid for it. But I didn't care about concerts because I was dumb!

I just didn't understand that concerts are more than just the music, it's the show. It's seeing a band (Corey Taylor) being very charismatic with the crowd and getting everyone involved with the show. Instead of just standing or sitting there, hoping they play our favorite song, like I thought it was about.

I went once with my parents to see The Goo Goo Dolls and it was boring because I couldn't hear the band that well because of everyone yelling and cheering. I just wanted to go home and listen to them on my CD player.

After watching so many Youtube videos of Slipknot live, I understand how concerts can be fun. And it sucks that I'll have to use my own money to go see them now ๐Ÿ˜ญ My dad would've took me if I cared to ask. (I'm 34 and haven't spoken to my dad in years.)

I wish I knew what I was missing out on.

My favorites to watch are ones where they are in another country where their first language isn't English. So, Corey tries to speak a little in their own language and it's awesome and fuckin' sweet ๐Ÿงก He really loves trying to connect with the fans

And he ends those shows so friendly by thanking the fans for going to see them. It's just really cool to see because people expect rock and metal bands to be rude, violent and serious but Slipknot is chill and funny

And they made a song for their fans (The Maggots).

My favorite band is Korn because of the music but I think Slipknot is my favorite band because of group (and them being known for having the best drummers.)

I wish Joe was my dad. I don't know that would work but I wish it.
I'm jealous of everyone that has a good dad.

22:46 Fortnite is amazing. People can hate on it all they want but it's so good and so smart.

41:01 This is why I get frustrated with some of Steve's hot takes on movies. When he just complains on Instagram, "Who asked for this to be made? Why do we need another movie about this? This was just made for people who think their funny!"

Just because it's not relatable to you, doesn't mean it's shit. I love hearing Joe and Brett having different takes on stuff than Steve. I'm not into Game of Thrones or the new Dragon show but that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't have been made. I can still tell it's not shit just because I find that setting boring.

#NotEverythingIsForEveryone
I wish more people were like Owen. I loved Talkin' Banter because Owen wouldn't agree with all of Brett's movie opinions but he was cool with hearing it.

(I love you, Steve! I just need to sometimes voice my frustrations out about you ๐Ÿ’–)

47:28 That's the name! When I write my thoughts, I pause the video so I had no idea they were going to bring up this show but it's perfect ๐Ÿ‘

Elliott asked for recommendations so:

(This was the comment I left but I can't find it. Did it get marked as spam? Anyway, I just left another one so sorry if my recommendation shows up twice.)
