Aftershow for The Valleycast - Month of April

Trying to Brain the Upcoming Live-Action Legend of Zelda Film!

3:30 Yeah, I hate that it means nothing to you but at least now I don't have to feel bad skipping them. I started doing that as soon as you and Mike got a Patreon. And it was perfect timing because that's when the ad reads started to become boring.
And the fans told you it was but you and Mike responded saying that if we really love your podcast then we should be okay with you two reading the ads more normal so you two can get paid.

And we said sure then don't mind us skipping the boring ads. Change up the podcast however you want but don't expect fans to stick to a routine if they don't like a change.

I think the podcast that does the best ad reads is Let's Get Haunted! They give all the info while being funny and weird. DB used to be #1 with ad reads, now it's LGH:

Their funny personal stories being told in the ads makes them better at selling the product. And they don't need a sound machine to be funny πŸ’…

Nat and Aly also love when fans make merch of their podcast to sell on their own. They see it as free advertisement and exposure for their podcast and they encourage fans to do more of it.
They share posts online shops of LGH merch by fans.

And they really love when fans don't skip their ads and say it means a lot to them. Their community feels more worth being in because Nat and Aly show how much they love their fans.

They don't keep saying shit like:
"Use our code or your emails of love mean nothing to me!"
"The fans that don't join Patreon are cheap--haha just kidding!"
"First time show was fun but no one listened! It made no money!"

Steve and Mike are like:

LGH make their Patreon worth paying for because they give a lot of extra content (from the start, by the way) and insider gossip AND they are active in the group chat. It's worth $10 a month!

I love you Steve, that's why your words hurt sometimes.

I'm never paying for a streaming service again. Get a library card and use kanopy (or library apps and DVDs). Or search for links online. Fuck streaming services now.

18:39 I wish Mike would change the subject like that when he doesn't want to talk about something than to bitch about Steve's topic until Steve agrees with him. Be like Joe and Elliott!

They should make Link a woman in the movie, to piss off sensitive people. She has to save the princess!

31:54 That sucks, Elliott....

Link not talking in the movie could work, it's just up to the writers to not be lazy about it. Like in the movie, No One Will Save You. I think they did a good job with no dialogue. Just make Link actually a mute who needs to use sign language or write down this longer responses. Like a character in The Stand by Stephen King. I loved that character and the story made him fit right in.

But also, it is the videogames' fault for continuing to not give Link a voice actor. He talks in the comics and old animations. And he talks in the games because the characters respond to him as if he is talking back to them. So, Link isn't actually a mute, the videogames are just too lazy and cheap to hire a voice actor and a writer for his dialogue.

Give Link a voice in the next game, you cowards. And make Link's soul reincarnate into a woman's body!

Steve has some THOUGHTS about A Minecraft Movie

Starting off with fun music! I love it.

3:33 Good zoom in.

I don't like how Steve doesn't seem to like Jack Black. Nothing good to say about him at all?? He's just like Steve but famous.

The jump cuts are not great....

22:29 Cowards!

29:14 Cowardly jump cut edit. Just leave the extra 10 seconds in of Steve being confused and needing it explained.

Joe and Elliott vs. CHORSE?!

I'm sad I missed Elliott opening in Phoenix! I'll be there in August-October and I hope he does another show while I'm there.

I hate starting on chores but once I start I'm into it.
I listen to audiobooks while I clean.

This episode about an every day topic is what Rooster Teeth podcasts all turned into... Only they weren't funny. They made content that their stalkers and crazy, obsessive fans loved.

Always Open and The Patch were the only podcasts that stayed interesting because they had a theme.

Always Open was about sex and The Patch was about videogames. The other podcasts were just labeled as "comedy" or "shooting the shit" ZZZzzz...
(If you say your show is comedy and all you do is "shoot the shit" you better be fuckin' funny to back up that lazy description.)

Joe and Elliott throw in fun jokes with their talk because they know they are recording content!
Thank you for caring about making the conversation fun, boys.

34:42 I know you two might feel like it's a boring episode, it's not but it's good that ya'll show that you care if it is. It's a lot more than what RT showed. Those men had really big heads and I think there are more Ryan Haywoods among them but were better at hiding the proof.

He was living a "rock star" life and it's hard to believe that the other men weren't also fucking their fans.

39:07 Some Jack Black love! Thank goodness Steve isn't on this episode to act like Jack Black isn't that great.

42:02 I'm happy you two like him. Especially Joe--hell yeah!

Steve on 12 YEARS of Creating Content (ft. Ryan Farroki!)

Starting right in with a loop was nice. I saved a lot of those clips for myself.

2:47 100%.
Any fan who has a real problem with that can go listen to a different podcast. Please don't stop talking about hard subjects if it leads to you guys stop doing this podcast. No matter how annoyed or frustrated I get with a topic or one of your opinions, I overall, still love you boys.

Fans that don't know how to deal with their own hurt feelings of something you boys said can fuck off.
They should get a journal or make a blog! Don't comment and message the boys negative shit.

8:04 Haha

Whyyyyy do you have to do so many jump cuts? I wana know the whole conversation! Wahhh....

21:13 This jump cut where we don't even see who won the vote is a dead giveaway that Ryan most likely said a lot weren't that funny. Steve thought it was too mean and choose to edit it out BUT he shouldn't have! Leave it in!

23:10 Because he's not wrong--Oh, wait a minute--he's not that funny either....24:24

The jump cuts suuuuuck, Steve!

I wish Ryan was a bit louder but other than that, I loved him as a guest.

Silly Boys REUNITE!

0:16 Hahaha!

4:36 Yeah, it sucks that Alana ruined Steve from wanting to share his girlfriend with the EZU. How Alana dumped Steve was fucked up. And she's acting like it's fine and she's a nice, girly pop, wise woman who can give advice on life. She's fucked up for not being more sorry about leaving Steve like that.

Don't brake up with him over text, girl! And while you were in another state!! Damn.

But it's not fair to treat the girlfriend you have now like she can turn out to be a disappointment at any moment, Steve. You should bring her on the podcast if she's a good entertainer. Don't let Alana ruin sharing the EZU with your girlfriend. Think of Bree instead of Alana when introducing her to the community.

6:35 I love the random "yes and" in this podcast.

16:31 Mike take notes and make DB funny (for me) again.

20:24 LOL

28:16 LOL

Really? Steve's girlfriend doesn't know about Chat GPT?

I used it as therapy but only for setting a goal to get on a path to make me feel better. Because I can't afford a therapist. "Oh, we can do payments." Fuck you. I'm saying I can't afford payments either. Therapy shouldn't be so fuckin' much and should be more than an hour of a session.

Also, Chat GPT can help any time, any day and way over an hour. Or less than 10 minutes.

Therapy should be free and available 24/7. (maybe two therapist per person? I don't know but that needs to happen or A.I. will win for poor people. Every time.)

The two times I've used it were when I had a pain in my chest that was deep but not sharp and I had just experienced somewhat of a life change BUT I wanted to make sure I wasn't sick. I didn't want to just write it off as stress.

I explained how my chest hurt and gave it my age and other stuff doctors would ask. I didn't tell it my life story or whatever. I didn't want it to grab on that it was just stress. But after marking off things it could be, (after telling me to go see a doctor to make sure) it asked me if anything big happened lately that could've made me nervous or excited without me giving it a clue that it could be stress.

That's when it was talking me though my feelings on this big change and made suggestions on what I could do to lighten my heart.

(And all that time would've cost me around $500 or $600. Some of the bill coming from going to the doctor just for them to tell me it's stress. And some of the bill being the one session of therapy. And some going towards gas driving to these places. Fuck off with that! I'm using free A.I.)

The second time I used it was when I came back to that same chat to ask if me not eating much is connected to stress and when I should start to be worried about not feeling hungry. It said being in shock can make my body not take too much energy and that's why I feel full. But I should sit down and try to eat a meal after day 6. And if I couldn't then to see a doctor.

And luckily, on day 5, I started eating normal meals.

I didn't have a conversation with it that second time. So, I guess I mainly used it as a doctor instead of a therapist but using it like that SAVED me money. I feel better with the reassurance from Chat GPT that I was just going through stress.

Instead of me NOT using Chat GPT and just living my days in worry with what is wrong with me and hoping it's just stress. That might have made my stress last longer than 5 days and actually make me physically sick for not eating much over a week.

Chat GPT as a doctor/therapist is fine if you were going to live with your fingers crossed anyway. At least you get some sort of help than no help.

47:18 I love this hahaha! How did Steve's girlfriend find this uncomfortable? What a pussy.

Them being upset that Black Mirror is dark, sad and bleak made me roll my eyes. The whole point of Black Mirror is showing the horror of technology. Even the ones that end funny or happy are horror stories.

I don't want Black Mirror to start feeling the need to baby it's audience with more happier stories just because people, like these boys, feel the need to keep watching every season, and complain when the episode doesn't end happy. Don't watch horror if you're not in the mood for dark stories!

(It's annoying when Steve complained about Smile 2, on stream, being too depressing and said people only liked it because it's popular and people don't think for themselves. You can be such a brat, Steve--still love you though.)

Just stick to Star Wars, DC and Marvel if you want the good guys to always win.

I love being a SourceFed fan who never turned into a friend after years of supporting them because I have the freedom to citizens them. To rant about opinions I disagree with, which I wouldn't be able to do if I was in the friend group. I would just have to write it in my journal.

I love being a fan but I'm not a blind fangirl. I'm not a "stan"
BUT I don't harass them with my bitchy mood. If they read this blog, that's on them.

Hello to anyone who finds this, I citizens the shit I love without bugging anyone about it.
I stay in my corner. If you don't like it then get out of my corner.

Fall and Winter

 Sound! Euphonium S3

This is my anime of the year for 2024.

I love that this main character isn't gifted or overpowered like in other anime, she's just better with the euphonium than the one other person in band class. Until a new character enters this final season and is actually good at it and becomes their rival.

I love that the MC has to practice a skill she doesn't really love. She enjoys it but doesn't want it to be her life.

I loved the coming of age drama this anime had that others don't.
And I loved the ending paths the characters took.

Fuck Asuka though, I wish she didn't come back this season because it cheapens the moment they say bye to her last season. Plus, she was bitchy but the characters treats her like a wise older classmate with the best guidance. She's a cunt who gets away with being rude because she's a goofy upperclassmen.

And the only other nitpick I have for this show is that I'm disappointed the music scenes are boring. In all three seasons! When it should be intense and interesting:

The anime also should've had the concerts, marching band parts and solo pieces cut back and forth between a montage of the character relationships; friends, family and love interests, so that we had something to keep us interested if the music itself couldn't do it.

The clip from The Perfection does just that. I don't give a fuck about that type of music BUT in that moment I was interested. I wish Sound! Euphonium made me feel like that with it's music.

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure

Max is back with the best power in the series again!

And I loved making her flirt with this sassy man. It doesn't seem like they should be together because they would never sit at the same table and that's why I love this romance. It's a nerdy girl getting with a gay, cunty man πŸ’…

Max and her new romance partner (you can choose a woman but she was too quirky for me) need to come back in a new game because I want to explore more of their relationship. I want to see them as a couple and how they complement each other or how they clash with each other. Like, how it doesn't work out with Chloe, if she was dating your Max and is still alive.

I loved that they were brave to write a story that Chloe and Max don't stay together forever. I liked that their romance (or friendship) drifts away from each other after some time. The bittersweet feeling that gave me was fun to experience.

So, I would love to have Max's new lover to come back in another game and see if they workout forever or at least workout at staying close friends.

And to be honest, I was disappointed with the friends that Max is left with in this one. It felt like more people cared about her in the first game. It bugged me how easy it was for one of her friends to lose their trust in her. It seemed like the only people that really cared about her was her best friend's mom and the quirky woman you can flirt with.

But this game still had cozy moments that I love in these walking simulators, catty banter with the male love interest that I never would have thought of to pair with a character like Max, and an interesting mystery to keep this game above a 3 out of 5 stars.

Baldur's Gate 3

Playing this helped improve my mood after experiencing Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BG3 is what I wanted DA4 to be; the companions, the relationship bonding, the tone and the voiceless character we play as. This game feels like a love letter to Dragon Age: Origins.

This is the comeback I wanted for my Grey Warden. Thank you, BG3!

Alan Wake 1 DLC

This game should've been in the remaster version. This part of the story is so important that I'm mad so many people are missing out on it and just jumping right into Alan Wake 2!

I loved every moment of this DLC.

Fears To Fathom ep. 5

A creepy game that gives a false sense of coziness. Has a slow burn but with jump scares.

I love this game series! I hope the creator ignores anyone who shits on the slow buildup of each episode.

I love that these episodes are based on true experiences. We get movies and shows that are based on real stories so it's fun to get a game like that too.

HomeBody

A time loop game! It also has a cozy feeling to it.
Every time it resets, the game shows more of the story so don't feel bad about "losing" and going through the loop again.

Smile 2

I love the look of the monster and that the lore isn't spoon fed to us in the movie. It reminds me of the way Stephen King wrote in The Mist, that the monsters look fake; prompts for a movie. It makes the characters feel like what they are experiencing isn't real and that maybe they are crazy or dreaming. I think the uncanny valley feeling it gives off makes the monster creepier than if it was never shown.

The soundtrack, the acting and the story was so fucking good.

If you don't want a movie to rip your heart out for a character then don't watch Smile TWO. Imagine complaining about this movie for having the same theme as the first movie; using the character's trauma against them. What did you expect, you big dummy?

In A Violent Nature

A slasher movie that makes fun of other slashers; calling them boring.

I loved the slowness of it because I was in the mood for a chill movie and didn't know it. I expected this movie to be like a common slasher but with cool deaths because it was being talked about online. And I'm so glad it was different with it's story telling.

It's from the killer's point of view and he only walks. It's basically an ASMR movie when he isn't killing-and all the kills are creative and brutal. That whole time the killer is walking, he's just thinking of unique ways to kill once he reaches someone.

I usually hate slashers but this one thankfully skipped all the stupid teenage dialogue and only let us hear enough to know the killer's backstory and their personalities.

It shits on other slashers with lazy, sexist and recycled writing by skipping all of those things because the killer takes us on a walk with him through the woods to look for weapons and more victims. The characters have their boring banter, arguments and realizations off screen. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I want another movie like this. I don't care if people call it a rip-off. I want rip-offs of this movie! I need to see more slashers that only follow the killer.

Alien: Romulus

I was ready to side with the robot, I wasn't going to let the movie tell me that it was in the wrong so, I'm glad that the movie cared about it's feelings like I did. Yeah. You read that right. Feelings.

Mind Body Spirit

This was a hidden gem! The slow burn made it feel like I was watching a real vlog on Youtube. The movie even added ads that I thought were real for a second.

The movie very creepy. And I loved the acting!

Some people keep complaining that new horror is always needing a theme, that they miss when horror can just be fun bullshit with no hidden meaning. Fuck you if you think like this because there are thousands of fucking fun-bullshit-no-meaning-turn-your-brain-off horror movies out there for ya'll to choose from! You can go back and watch all those 70s, 80s, 90s AND new horror that you can talk over and still know what's going on.

But I can't do the same. I can't go looking for a horror that isn't sexualizing women and have a deeper meaning than "this group runs into a monster/killer".
It's slim pickings for me if I tried looking towards older scary movies for my favorite type of story. But today, I'm getting so much horror with way more thought put into it that has nothing to do with horny characters.

Fuck ya'll for complaining that nowadays your bullshit horror has to share the space with my "bullshit" horror.

A Series of Bleeps

Corey Taylor had a radio show! It's basically a solo podcast! And there's 72 episodes!

Hearing and knowing which songs he loves feels intimate because he'll sometimes talk about why he likes certain songs or a memory linked to them.

I wish I had become a fan of Corey Taylor earlier, from the start even.
I wish I could've helped show support for him, Slipknot and Stone Sour.
I wish I had a chance to have my tweets, comments and posts read by him.

Corey standing up to his "brother" and telling him the new Ghostbusters wasn't about a political agenda made me so fucking happy and I was shocked to hear him argue with someone he loves ON MIC. Because I'm used to men staying silent when their friends say something stupid.

I paused the episode when his friend called that movie political (πŸ™„) because I needed to calm down from the dumb shit I just heard.
I thought Corey would just laugh it off and move on or something.
So, when I pressed play and heard Corey quickly disagree with him my heart fluttered, it was awesome to hear a man I respect stand his ground against bullshit coming from one of their friends.

Corey literally tells that guy to not listen to "any of those fuckin people". It was so hot.

Also Corey hates spaghetti but loves other pasta! He gets it!
____________

But fuck you, Corey for looking down on fanfiction writers just because of the few that you read.

At the end of an episode, you said to fight for our nerdy shit if others are looking down on us so this is me fighting for my nerdy shit.

I understand looking down on those that write about real people but looking down on the writer that wrote fictional characters that got turned into Fifty Shades of Grey? Come on....

That book is porn for women. Everyone acts like it's a romance novel trying to win awards. It's porn! Men get bad dialogue in their porn too but the world doesn't freak the fuck out like it did at women enjoying Fifty Shades.

Women can't get popular horny books or movies without the world acting like it's protecting us or treating us like we have bad taste because only men are allowed to enjoy their shitty and sleazy fantasies on the big screen.

Fuck ya'll for complaining that your bullshit erotic stories has to share the space with our "bullshit" erotic stories.
____________

Anyway, I loved getting to know Corey Taylor a lot more through these episodes. And I did love finding what I agreed and disagreed with him on. I wish more men were as open-minded as Corey.

The Last Night Show with Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert > Philip DeFranco

Stephen is not a coward on showing just how much he hates trump to his viewers. Plus, he's funny. So, drop PhillyD because Stephen is better in every way.

Bad Stuff:

trump and elon cunts-I mean, cult.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard was fine if it wasn't the fuckin' fourth game in the series! It feels like a spin off. The war against gods felt cheap; Mass Effect 3's war was way bigger and not just because the war was on different planets, at the same time

Why does ME3 feel more important than magic beings?!
Dragon Age 4 is a disappointment, it should've felt bigger than the Reapers! It should've felt fucking impossible to win against Solas and the the evil gods.

I could've liked the game if it wasn't in the Dragon Age world. NONE of the companions are problematic. None of them need to change into better people, they just need therapy....from our character. Which would've been fine in a different game.

The Warden we play as in DA:O should've been back to play as in this game. DA: The Veilguard was about the lore of why and how the Grey Wardens exist. Well, if you romance Zevran, one of the endings talks about how they both search the world to find a cure for the taint.

I don't know if The Warden tries to find a cure in the other endings too but I like the thought of The Warden coming back as our playable character to face Solas, and the other gods, to save the world on a bigger scale AND learn more about the taint.

If the original voice actor for Zevran can't do it then just have the voice actor of Lucanis do an older Zevran instead of a boring assassin where the only interesting thing about him is the spirit inside him and that he loves coffee....

The game could've worked with a voiceless MC, and still showed off their looks, in DA4; BG3 did it!

Plus, the relationships would've been fun to explore with our Warden being playable as an older character who is close to losing their mind to the taint. Something Solas can use against them like he did with Rook.

If would've been fun to play as our Warden who can still be in a relationship with the character they chose in DA:O or the game lets us choose to romance a new character.

I love imagining a DA4 with Zevran, Morrigan, Leliana, and Alister as our companions again, the four that we could romance in the first game. And of course, having some new characters to romance but the option to still have fun with older versions of past companions would be a dream come true!

I'm pissed it could've happened. This was the perfect game to do that!

Or if you were forced to chose Leliana or Alister and in the end went with Leliana in DA:O, we could've had our MC end it with her to be with Alister this time.
It could've been a very dramatic, painful and beautiful journey that showed that it was good with Leliana for years but now you have started to grow apart and the time doesn't feel right with her anymore.
Having Alister and The Warden seeing each other again and having their feelings resurfaced and being together with the time they have left. Both because of the war and the taint that will kill them.

Or if you chose Zavran before but now feel more connected to Morrigan.
Or if you chose Morrigan before but now feel more connected to a new teammate.
Or if you chose Alister before and want to continue to stay with him.

Or you could have a strong connection with a teammate that becomes your best friend, if you didn't want to romance anymore.
(And I think a best friend "slot" is what's always missing in these games. I hate it when games act like all companions are your best friend, you don't get one, you get all on the same "level". The "level" only makes sense of it's trust. But you can have complete trust of a friend but still have someone else as your best friend.)

DA4 could've had such good drama that didn't need to give every single companion a cheap sob story with their own cheap rivals.

DA4 could've been about how the characters are dealing with being older and the years of good times they missed out on by not staying in-touch with each other.

The new teammates can be younger and have personal quests like Lace Harding and Taash.

It would be a better balance of a story if it had some of it's already well loved companions and well loved MC. With some of the new important companions we actually got; Neve, Lace, and Taash.
Plus, those beloved characters would still seem new because they will be different people than they were in DA:O!

I did love finding out the lore of the gods, Solas and the Elves and the Dwarves because it'll make the world feel bigger knowing the truth when I replay the other games, but everything else in DA: The Veilguard was a bummer.

The Let's Get Haunted podcast is now doing video versions. Ugh! Why can't podcasts stay audio only!? Why do these people keep wanting to make the work harder on themselves?! Staying audio only is easier!

I'm calling it now, they are going to get burnt out and will post less extra content because normal content is a lot more work this year.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of August

The Mr Beast Version Bible & Researching Cryptids

The people that find her annoying have a simple sense of humor. Which is worse than having no sense of humor because at least zero-humor-people don't make me roll my eyes hard like when simple-humor-people laugh at weak puns, dad jokes and anything else so cheesy that anyone would feel safe sharing the joke with their religious parents.

Boooo to the people who don't laugh at the loud-crazy humor from Brittany and Steve Zaragoza:

THIS GETS LOUD 8 SECONDS IN! DO NOT PRESS PLAY WITH HEADPHONES!
It's fuckin' funny though:

The Webkinz Gem Mine lore conspiracy is very funny. If she didn't have a video of her playing that game, I wouldn't know what she was talking about. So, if you didn't find this part that funny, I recommend going on her personal channel and watch her play that game.

I would love for her to do more videos of her playing those online games and sharing her childhood memories with us. Those videos are funny but also very cute and sweet too. Seeing her get excited playing a game she hadn't played in years made me want to play a classic game from my childhood too.

14:57 I can picture a scene of that so clearly! Ha!

This handwriting talk is making me wish I had pretty handwriting like my Tia Martha. But since I'm a stay-at-home wife what's the point of having nice handwriting? No one would give a shit. The time putting into practicing my handwriting could be better spent on working out instead. I'll do that.

I hate that I stopped because my landlords were working on my floors and I couldn't workout for days. After they were done, I just got lazy and haven't continued in months. But I want to get back into it. I'll do it this week. Now that I typed it out, it'll happen!

29:50 Nothing is boring with you, Brittany. Trust me. Trust us! (Sorry, I'm still obsessed with Hazbin Hotel.)

Funny bit.

51:35 I want her to be on the Let's Get Haunted podcast so bad. All the girls would have so much fun together! Fuck the haters (I'm purplypastel):

(More people are hitting the upvote vs the haters leaving comments, at least!)

So what if she charges a fee? We can donate to help them get her on or they at least can say that they tried if they don't want to pay the fee. I thought everyone agreed that working for "exposure" was bullshit. But now we got to put Brittany down if she charges for her time?

It'll be awesome if she does it for free but if she doesn't that should be seen as normal. Free shit should be a nice surprise, not expected.

Thank you for leaving a comment. I understand being a shy lurker with a positive and hopeful attitude but sometimes we need to be loud about our thoughts too. We shouldn't let the annoying, well-I-disagree-and-I'm-going-to-let-everyone-know-it, people run the internet unchallenged.

Seeing this ONE comment made me happy because it's the ONLY positive comment right now. I hope Nat and Aly see it because they are pretty active on Reddit. They talk on the podcast about how they love their fandom because we are chill and never get mean with each other..... Well, I hope my comment is reminding those fans of that.

Manic Greek Dream Girl

She has the best intros. She just gets straight into making me laugh or have a really big smile on my face. Other podcasts wastes time with a cringy introduction. Brittany begins her podcast like we are her friend who just answered her phone call.

7:09 Her talking serious and then interrupting herself to make a joke assuming what the fans are thinking, reminds me of Corey Taylor's book, America 51. He says he'll joke around but the readers will have to wait because he's talking about something important. He does that in all of his books but America 51 is more serious than the rest.

I really recommend the audio versions because hearing his voice helps the jokes land better. (Yes. I'm still obsessed with Corey Taylor and I have so many interviews saved that I need to hurry and watch those before I get over him. I'll marathon them after posting this!)

I would love for Brittany to write a book too! And she has to record her own audiobook! Please! Don't hire someone else to read it! I need to hear her words read from her voice.

I get why she would feel burnt out. If I were in her shoes, I would just give everyone online the finger, turn off the comments and post anything I wanted, any time I wanted. I wouldn't do it weekly. Bless her for keeping a schedule. It takes a lot out of me to keep up this blog. And I do it for nothing! Just for fun!

When I think about starting the blog post, I hesitate a bit because I think it's going to feel like doing homework but once I start typing I don't want to stop. It magically feels fucking easy.

It's both a stressful and fun hobby. I'm guessing that's how being a content creator feels like but worse because so many people are pressuring you to post nonstop and to talk about every issue in the world. No thanks!

I would be sad but I wouldn't complain if Brittany decided to stay offline after the next drama about her starts. Just being a fan seems more fun than having fans.

Fans come with haters. Remember those fuckers in the screenshots above talking shit about Brittany? For no other reason than to stink up a post with chill vibes because they seen her face. I didn't even put her name in the title and the haters found her and wasted no time vomiting all over the place. Fuck....

Take care of yourself, Brittany.

18:26 Again, I'm reminded of America 51 by Corey Taylor! He talks about how much he loves history in that book and said in a interview that he wanted to be a history teacher before he realized he didn't have the patience for it.

Him and Brittany could get along so well and make each other laugh AND talk about music!
Please get into him and invite him on Royal Court, Brittany! He would LOVE your unique, thoughtful and funny questions. He has mentioned a lot how he hates stupid questions and is bored of the same fan questions. He tries to answer in a different way each time but there's so much he can do when it's still the same answer....

Let the Minions Unionize

0:35 Hahaha! No one can EVER make me hate her.

She's wearing a Sleep Token shirt, she HAS to check out Slipknot and Stone Sour to also become a fan of Corey Taylor's talented voice, writing style, sense of humor, passion for his music AND how much he cares about his fans. I'm telling you, she would get along with him if they ever met.

This shows how good Corey Taylor is with the crowd and that he can rap (starts at 1:50):

Plus, his support for his son's band is so sweet. Look at his smile:

15:09 Yeah, corporations suck the fun and health out of life. At least we now know and can choose to try avoiding as much poison as possible. I get so annoyed with people who give up without hesitation and say, "That's in everything anyway."

23:15 Fucking same! I haven't thought about that in a long time! I can't even remember if it was my mom or my dad who came up with that.
I think maybe too it was my grandparents but I just know, I suffered that bullshit.

I also love that she can wear a random hat for no reason other than she owns it. Other podcasts need it to be a holiday, birthday, an "episode special" or a paid promotion to explain the getup.

Nat and Aly wear costumes once a month because that's the only time they are on camera. But normally, they are an audio only podcast. They have "Halloween" every month and Brittany has it every week. Brittany, I need you to go on LGH and talk about ghosts, please! And bring the hat. (They edit their own stuff.)

Also, Corey Taylor can join you all since he believes in ghosts too! He talks about that in his second book. I LOVE how all my interests are connecting right now.

46:00 How do people not laugh out loud at this type of humor?

My songs of the week (month) are:
1. Custer by Slipknot
2. Sienna by The Marias
3. No Life by Slipknot (I need him to make more rap songs.)
4. Fortnight by Taylor Swift (I'm not big on her music but I fucking love this one.)
5. Echo by The Marias

Unofficial aftershow for the official AFTERSHOW: The Small Gentleman

2:52 This is why Talkin' Banter was fun but with Kevin there now to correct the boys while they record, TB would be pointless. TB corrects the boys after they record so we got to hear Steve and Mike being wrong about something the whole episode and it was hilarious.

(A moment of silence for a dead bit.)

7:00 I want Brett and Owen to be on the Let's Get Haunted podcast and just laugh at and with the girls on everything. They're already in the EZU because they've had Mike and Steve on their show before. They've had Steve on by himself and Elliott too!

Those boys had an open mind and the episodes were fun 🧑

I feel like Brett and Owen would be chill and get into the mood of listening to ghost stories without rolling their eyes too. (Plus, LGH is audio only so Owen doesn't have to be on camera πŸ‘Œ)

I'm also a skeptic but I love listening to LGH talk about ghosts and aliens! They are very funny women. Their podcast is the reason that got me to finally make a Patreon account just so I can support them when they announced it, day one.

I love this podcast! They do so much work because they are passionate about it. Each episode one of them tells a story, a spooky topic they spent time researching on their own.

Nat writes hand written thank you notes to anyone who buys their merch. I love being in their community. They are so active on their Patreon, they make it worth paying for. It's like their own private social media. Posting fun videos, pictures, random thoughts and rants πŸ’–πŸ‘½πŸ‘»πŸ³πŸ’’

I'm so happy I've found LGH before they get too big and busy. In some ways because the girls are more active with their fans, they feel more nerdy than the boys of the EZU.

16:12 My dad wouldn't let us play Nintendo games because he thought it was dumb games. But PlayStation was good because it had "brain games" LOL I don't know.

Because of him, I became a PlayStation gamer, I love story based games more than playing a game to pass the time. But I do like some Nintendo games, I just have to be in the mood for them.

I enjoyed the times of watching my dad playthrough Tomb Raider games because they were too scary for me to play myself. I played Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and a disk that had demo games on it. (Until I got older and realized that Tomb Raider wasn't scary and then played it myself.)

17:27 One of the first things I've recorded was on a VCR because I wanted to see Digimon season 2 anytime I wanted. I had a crush on the character, Matt and I would rewind and fast-forward to him being on screen over and over. Then I started recording Transformers RID for the same reason; had a crush on the character, Sideburn.

Later, I recorded Dragon Ball Z episodes just to have them and my dad seen I was building a collecting (because there's so many fucking episodes of DBZ) and would then buy me the actual videotapes.

He also bought me magazines with DBZ characters on the front. I didn't really have a crush on DBZ characters, I just really loved the show. I loved any strong woman that showed up, my favorite was Videl.

I love doing these blog posts because it's fun thinking about the my childhood that I haven't thought about in a while. I asked my mom to start sending my old stuff little by little by mail. I've rearranged my home and I'm decorating a room to make it look like it's from late 90s to early 2000. It's looking real cute!

I've never had my own room before so it's fun to imagine how I would've decorated it if I did. (And the only reason we have an "extra" room to have fun with is because we put our bed by the backdoor and made that area look like a bedroom. It's cozy πŸ‘πŸ“šπŸ΅)

18:21 Reminds me of Goosebumps! As a kid, I loved watching the theme song when the dog's eyes turned into yellow snake eyes. I thought it looked cool, evil and scary while the rest of the show was too corny for me. I wasn't smart enough to know good and bad acting yet but I knew when horror stories were softened.

After the episodes ended, I would talk to my friends about how it could've been scarier if "this or that" happened instead. That part was fun and made it worth watching.

24:42 🧑

(Comic-con 2011 in Phx. I'm on the right, my best friend in the middle and my cousin on the left.)

Yeah, those crazy protesters about cosplaying being evil, at every Comic-con, are annoying.

33:26 Like 3 Tims & a Tina from The Valleyfolk! I really wish that stream was archived. It was fucking funny. They never broke character and started and ending the stream as their characters. There was a moment where they were silent to hold in their laugh but then got right back into the bit. I wish I could see it again!

37:48 More proof that Kevin is not like Owen at all. Yet people keep saying he's the "new Owen" when Kevin feels more like another Steve.

41:19 Brett explains The Pacifier.
I enjoy listening to people explain shitty movies than for me to actually watch shitty movies. It's fun!

I recommend the podcast, The Dead Zone Drive-In. They canceled it because it was too much work but that just means it's not overwhelming to marathon their episodes πŸ‘

43:21 Owen and Brett like Friends πŸ™Œ

50:57 Steve coughing in the background πŸ˜‚

57:36 This is hard for me to imagine because Owen sounds like a tall person that I didn't expect him to have been a short kid.

1:12:15 I remember liking Free Willy because I think it was one of the first feel-good movies I've experienced. Usually those movies were boring to me but that one caught me at the right time.

1:05:46 The tweet they were talking about: Link

1:06:41 Brett reads fanfiction. DB should bring this back.

1:11:20 Brett likes Owen's sign off and it becomes official for TB.

In my last Talkin' Banter post, I said if I could tweet Brett and Owen a question, I would ask how they both met. And I was able to ask that thanks to Steve streaming on Twitch!

Owen answering it.

Also, what the fuck, Brett?! There could've been a weekly fun show but you didn't want to do it because it's an anime?! (I'm guessing you don't like anime because you didn't like Cowboy Bebop and refuse to watch Deathnote.)

Dude! After that, it could've put Steve into the groove to do another show or movie that you love! He might have let you pick anything as a reward for having to watch a show you didn't like!

I can't believe you didn't think it was worth it to sit and laugh with your friends every week. Even if it's watching something you don't like, it can still be fun! Clips! New and old clips! Theme songs. Funny emails. Plus, anything with Steve is going to be fun.

This was the first time I've heard Steve actually wanting to start up the It Feels Like The First Time podcast again and you stopped him, Brett 😭

Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - The 400th Episode Extravaganza!

(I was sad about this episode and I explain why but for my future self, and anyone reading, let's lighten the mood right off the bat by turning this into a drinking game. Take a shot every time the words, cheap and lazy show up.)

They call different guests..."yay" for bad audio from the phone calls πŸ˜‘

Why couldn't they just be there in person? Not all in one episode but a whole month (or more) of guests on every episode for a real celebration.

Let's Get Haunted had guests on for two months and as a "Halloween special" they did extra short episodes called, "What's Haunting You?" That took so much more work because they were meeting the guests for the first time themselves and the girls had to research topics for each episode. They made time to meet them off the podcast and on just to see if the vibe was right to collab with.

They are such hard workers. And they are a smaller podcast. I was expecting more work to be put into it from Steve and Mike. They have more Patreons and more help so I don't get why this episode was the best they could come up with to celebrate 400 episodes.

At least have Owen there in person to play on the keyboard for History Road. Or have Bree and DJ there to help with getting more people supporting the movie he's trying to make. Just something that isn't "Lets call our friends and asked how they feel about us having 400 episodes! Also, they can't hear the soundboard or see us so they can't fully joke along with us. It'll be good enough."

It's not. I love this podcast but this is really lazy. If Let's Get Haunted can work hard in a week to record so many episodes for the month and be funny, then so should the boys. The only hard part the boys had to do was hold the phone up to the microphone.

They should have an easier time because they can be in the same room. The girls can't, but that didn't stop them from making good fucking episodes.

DifferentπŸ‘GuestsπŸ‘EveryπŸ‘WeekπŸ‘ForπŸ‘TwoπŸ‘MonthsπŸ‘(or more!)

I really feel Nat and Aly's gratitude and love for our Patreon support. While I just felt the laziness from DB because they "planned" this shit in a week.

(Nat and Aly would have kept track of the number 400 and recorded guest episodes early. Having each of the guests in the episodes from start to finish. And that's exactly what they did.)

A special return of the Talkin' Banter would have been better. If the 400th episode was just Owen and Brett talking about episode 399. And 401 was Steve and Mike doing the episode like 400 never happened.

That would have been so fucking funny and fun! A good inside joke for the hardcore DB fans.

Or if Owen didn't want to be on camera, just have Brett and Chris with Owen off camera/off mic, adding to the conversation. Two inside jokes in one episode.

Whatever, I guess that's what fans are for. The fans think up all the good shit that could happen and write fanfictions (or blog posts), do sketches, or make fanart of the ideas.

The boys are so funny but so lazy. They've seen the episode numbers. They had so much time to get ready to plan something and choose to wait for the last week to think. And all they came up with is phone calls.

I'm not a hater or a troll, I'm just disappointed at the moment. By next week, I'll have "fangirl mode" on full force again. I'm not a mindless fan. I need time to get over this sour feeling and this blog helps. It's better than leaving a comment on their video or a post on Reddit, right?

If they didn't have a Patreon I would expect just phone calls but they do and I wanted more love put into it.

Lets Get Haunted post extra shit on their Patreon like Vlogs, gaming and cooking videos. Pictures and blog posts. They make it feel like a fun nerdy club that is worth paying for.

The girls don't just post extended podcast episodes on there.

2:24 "big big show"
They even point out that it doesn't seem that special. They know how cheap this is yet aren't sorry about it.

The bit of how big the celebration is goes on and on. I'd rather they just acted like this was just a normal episode because this is just annoying. Just reminding fans how they didn't plan much for this.

Maybe this episode seems more exciting to audio only listeners?

I know for a fact that the DB fans would hate this blog post πŸ˜… Stan culture sucks. They wont let fans criticize the boys or Kevin because "true fans" accept and support DB no matter what:

(Even if you love Kevin, you have to know this is true. They were downvoted for pointing out this fact.)

4:07 They go into the technical difficulties bit πŸ‘Œ

11:16 First call is Ryan... I like Ryan but he started out as a fan, like Kevin. So, him being a guest is so lackluster... Why not just call people who have been their friend from the start? Joe and Elliott? Give The Valleyfolk podcast a shout out so the fans who only know of DB can learn of The Valleycast. If they love Steve, they will love him on other podcasts too.

I know their friend group thinks that The Valleycast isn't worth listening to but it fucking is. Joe and Elliott are hilarious. On or off Zoom.
Plus, it's the fucking podcast they choose to promote Gunplay.

Yes, Ryan has been a big part of the show so why not have him on a full episode? Suck it up and have him on Zoom or do another VR episode.

20:44 Second call is Harley.
Who I don't know because I don't watch his content. I only know him from the few times they called him before. Why not call people from SourceFed? Where's Will? Sam? Candace? Reina? Steven? Trisha Hershberger? People who DB fans will most likely know of and if they don't, they'll be interested in checking out because both Steve and Mike were on SourceFed too.

Harley is a mystery to me. It sucks that Steve picked him to call just because he's playing Fortnite with him a lot. His Fortnite crew? Really?

The chaos of a lot of guests would be funny if this was planned for weeks. But it's chaotic because they were lazy. It sucks how rushed this all feels.

I love Malcolm's response to Steve calling what they are doing on the podcast "work"

Yes, podcasting is work but look at the context of what they have to do for work and what others have to do. My husband works at 12pm and has to deal with the general public. So, if we lived near Mike's place and at 10am they were screaming into a microphone, they would wake my husband up early and call it important because it's "work."

Malcolm asks who's their favorite guests and they can't even name one. "We don't have many guests" Seriously? Will and Nic? Owen?  The fact that they weren't prepared for that question is wild.

Third call is Whitney, after they read the Ads.
I usually hate dream talk too but this could've lead into some funny jokes if she was the only guest.

52:17 Forth call is Felicia πŸ™ƒ
Combine everything I said about Ryan with Harley and that's her.

I think calling fans from their Patreon would've been better. It would actually be interesting because each fan would be prepared for the call and talk about their favorite moments.

56:47 This is a weird way to show it, Mike. Learn from Let's Get Haunted on how to show your love and hard work to fans next time.

Malcolm asks them when did they start the show, right after Mike says "400 was a important number to us" and they both can't even answer it. They have Kevin look it up. How are they not prepared for that question?

1:03:56 History Road from Nic Hamilton because they couldn't call him.

1:08:47 Fifth call is "Sally" who they once had on the show before. This bit would've been funny if it wasn't in this episode. We could spent more time talking to Malcolm but no. Let's make him hear this inside joke.

1:20:00 fans from the DB discord stepping up to really show the fucking love. Maybe if the boys wanted to not think about the 400th episode until the week of, they could've just read History Roads. Because we fans know how to really nerd out on the shit we love.

The fans have made DB very funny. From sending in clips, videos, music, gifts, stories and bits. Fans helped form this podcast.

The boys wanted to end the show not knowing that someone else was going to call. Are you kidding me? How can any fan reading this, think I'm being bratty? This "extravaganza" is rushed.

This is cheaper than the Zoom episodes because we know they worked hard to get the sounds to be as clear as possible during that time. This is just lazy with guests who don't get a full hour to be on the episode.

1:25:37 Owen is the sixth caller.
Owen seemed nervous that he didn't have a favorite moment thought up and had to think fast. But it's all okay, Owen. Because the rest of the episode has been a let down. Nothing you can do would make it worse. If anything, the fact that you care makes it better and worth getting to this point just to hear your phone call. πŸ§‘

1:31:31 Chris is the Seventh caller.
I LOVED that Malcolm was reading old stuff Chris worked on. And I love finding out that he still listens to every episode, like Owen. Their support for their friends is so sweet.

Thank you, Owen, Chris and Malcolm for making this episode worth listening to. What both Owen and Chris had to say about the show was very nice and adorable!

I'll end by reminding whoever is reading this that I still love Mike and Steve. I wanted some thought put into this episode like the thought they put into their awesome merch.

Next week I'll be in better spirits. I know now to not be over hyped for DB episodes and Patreon content. Fans should just be okay, with a rare, extra long DB episode πŸ‘
