Aftershow for Dynamic Banter - The 400th Episode Extravaganza!

(I was sad about this episode and I explain why but for my future self, and anyone reading, let's lighten the mood right off the bat by turning this into a drinking game. Take a shot every time the words, cheap and lazy show up.)

They call different guests..."yay" for bad audio from the phone calls 😑

Why couldn't they just be there in person? Not all in one episode but a whole month (or more) of guests on every episode for a real celebration.

Let's Get Haunted had guests on for two months and as a "Halloween special" they did extra short episodes called, "What's Haunting You?" That took so much more work because they were meeting the guests for the first time themselves and the girls had to research topics for each episode. They made time to meet them off the podcast and on just to see if the vibe was right to collab with.

They are such hard workers. And they are a smaller podcast. I was expecting more work to be put into it from Steve and Mike. They have more Patreons and more help so I don't get why this episode was the best they could come up with to celebrate 400 episodes.

At least have Owen there in person to play on the keyboard for History Road. Or have Bree and DJ there to help with getting more people supporting the movie he's trying to make. Just something that isn't "Lets call our friends and asked how they feel about us having 400 episodes! Also, they can't hear the soundboard or see us so they can't fully joke along with us. It'll be good enough."

It's not. I love this podcast but this is really lazy. If Let's Get Haunted can work hard in a week to record so many episodes for the month and be funny, then so should the boys. The only hard part the boys had to do was hold the phone up to the microphone.

They should have an easier time because they can be in the same room. The girls can't, but that didn't stop them from making good fucking episodes.

Different👏Guests👏Every👏Week👏For👏Two👏Months👏(or more!)

I really feel Nat and Aly's gratitude and love for our Patreon support. While I just felt the laziness from DB because they "planned" this shit in a week.

(Nat and Aly would have kept track of the number 400 and recorded guest episodes early. Having each of the guests in the episodes from start to finish. And that's exactly what they did.)

A special return of the Talkin' Banter would have been better. If the 400th episode was just Owen and Brett talking about episode 399. And 401 was Steve and Mike doing the episode like 400 never happened.

That would have been so fucking funny and fun! A good inside joke for the hardcore DB fans.

Or if Owen didn't want to be on camera, just have Brett and Chris with Owen off camera/off mic, adding to the conversation. Two inside jokes in one episode.

Whatever, I guess that's what fans are for. The fans think up all the good shit that could happen and write fanfictions (or blog posts), do sketches, or make fanart of the ideas.

The boys are so funny but so lazy. They've seen the episode numbers. They had so much time to get ready to plan something and choose to wait for the last week to think. And all they came up with is phone calls.

I'm not a hater or a troll, I'm just disappointed at the moment. By next week, I'll have "fangirl mode" on full force again. I'm not a mindless fan. I need time to get over this sour feeling and this blog helps. It's better than leaving a comment on their video or a post on Reddit, right?

If they didn't have a Patreon I would expect just phone calls but they do and I wanted more love put into it.

Lets Get Haunted post extra shit on their Patreon like Vlogs, gaming and cooking videos. Pictures and blog posts. They make it feel like a fun nerdy club that is worth paying for.

The girls don't just post extended podcast episodes on there.

2:24 "big big show"
They even point out that it doesn't seem that special. They know how cheap this is yet aren't sorry about it.

The bit of how big the celebration is goes on and on. I'd rather they just acted like this was just a normal episode because this is just annoying. Just reminding fans how they didn't plan much for this.

Maybe this episode seems more exciting to audio only listeners?

I know for a fact that the DB fans would hate this blog post 😅 Stan culture sucks. They wont let fans criticize the boys or Kevin because "true fans" accept and support DB no matter what:

(Even if you love Kevin, you have to know this is true. They were downvoted for pointing out this fact.)

4:07 They go into the technical difficulties bit 👌

11:16 First call is Ryan... I like Ryan but he started out as a fan, like Kevin. So, him being a guest is so lackluster... Why not just call people who have been their friend from the start? Joe and Elliott? Give The Valleyfolk podcast a shout out so the fans who only know of DB can learn of The Valleycast. If they love Steve, they will love him on other podcasts too.

I know their friend group thinks that The Valleycast isn't worth listening to but it fucking is. Joe and Elliott are hilarious. On or off Zoom.
Plus, it's the fucking podcast they choose to promote Gunplay.

Yes, Ryan has been a big part of the show so why not have him on a full episode? Suck it up and have him on Zoom or do another VR episode.

20:44 Second call is Harley.
Who I don't know because I don't watch his content. I only know him from the few times they called him before. Why not call people from SourceFed? Where's Will? Sam? Candace? Reina? Steven? Trisha Hershberger? People who DB fans will most likely know of and if they don't, they'll be interested in checking out because both Steve and Mike were on SourceFed too.

Harley is a mystery to me. It sucks that Steve picked him to call just because he's playing Fortnite with him a lot. His Fortnite crew? Really?

The chaos of a lot of guests would be funny if this was planned for weeks. But it's chaotic because they were lazy. It sucks how rushed this all feels.

I love Malcolm's response to Steve calling what they are doing on the podcast "work"

Yes, podcasting is work but look at the context of what they have to do for work and what others have to do. My husband works at 12pm and has to deal with the general public. So, if we lived near Mike's place and at 10am they were screaming into a microphone, they would wake my husband up early and call it important because it's "work."

Malcolm asks who's their favorite guests and they can't even name one. "We don't have many guests" Seriously? Will and Nic? Owen?  The fact that they weren't prepared for that question is wild.

Third call is Whitney, after they read the Ads.
I usually hate dream talk too but this could've lead into some funny jokes if she was the only guest.

52:17 Forth call is Felicia 🙃
Combine everything I said about Ryan with Harley and that's her.

I think calling fans from their Patreon would've been better. It would actually be interesting because each fan would be prepared for the call and talk about their favorite moments.

56:47 This is a weird way to show it, Mike. Learn from Let's Get Haunted on how to show your love and hard work to fans next time.

Malcolm asks them when did they start the show, right after Mike says "400 was a important number to us" and they both can't even answer it. They have Kevin look it up. How are they not prepared for that question?

1:03:56 History Road from Nic Hamilton because they couldn't call him.

1:08:47 Fifth call is "Sally" who they once had on the show before. This bit would've been funny if it wasn't in this episode. We could spent more time talking to Malcolm but no. Let's make him hear this inside joke.

1:20:00 fans from the DB discord stepping up to really show the fucking love. Maybe if the boys wanted to not think about the 400th episode until the week of, they could've just read History Roads. Because we fans know how to really nerd out on the shit we love.

The fans have made DB very funny. From sending in clips, videos, music, gifts, stories and bits. Fans helped form this podcast.

The boys wanted to end the show not knowing that someone else was going to call. Are you kidding me? How can any fan reading this, think I'm being bratty? This "extravaganza" is rushed.

This is cheaper than the Zoom episodes because we know they worked hard to get the sounds to be as clear as possible during that time. This is just lazy with guests who don't get a full hour to be on the episode.

1:25:37 Owen is the sixth caller.
Owen seemed nervous that he didn't have a favorite moment thought up and had to think fast. But it's all okay, Owen. Because the rest of the episode has been a let down. Nothing you can do would make it worse. If anything, the fact that you care makes it better and worth getting to this point just to hear your phone call. 🧡

1:31:31 Chris is the Seventh caller.
I LOVED that Malcolm was reading old stuff Chris worked on. And I love finding out that he still listens to every episode, like Owen. Their support for their friends is so sweet.

Thank you, Owen, Chris and Malcolm for making this episode worth listening to. What both Owen and Chris had to say about the show was very nice and adorable!

I'll end by reminding whoever is reading this that I still love Mike and Steve. I wanted some thought put into this episode like the thought they put into their awesome merch.

Next week I'll be in better spirits. I know now to not be over hyped for DB episodes and Patreon content. Fans should just be okay, with a rare, extra long DB episode 👍

Fall and Winter 2022

Watcher 2022

This movie was a nice surprise. Just randomly found it while browsing and loved it.
I love that her character used to be an actor and used that skill against someone. Really loved that ending.

And the tension in that subway train scene was great!

Hunter Hunter

Another movie I found randomly and I love finding hidden gems like this!
That ending was one of the best endings I've ever seen. So satisfying.

Prey

The hype is real. This movie rocks!

Nope

This movie is my favorite movie, right up to the number one spot. I love all the hidden messages, the way the music made me feel in scenes. The characters personalities were so entertaining, none of the characters were annoying. I felt like there might have been a character that was going to bring drama but they turned out to be cool. I liked that it was still creepy without jump scares.

I'm LOVED that this movie was made. People keep saying it's not a horror but it is. It's just not going to give you nightmares but it's very creepy. Not all horror needs to be in one little box.

It's a non-scary horror movie. Love it.

Get Out

I finally seen this movie right after watching Nope. I had to. I loved it and I wish I had seen it when it was out. The mother character is such a good evil bitch. She was great at radiating dangerous, scary energy.

Barbarian

Very interesting movie. The first half was kind of a let down for me but I stuck with it because of the hype. If I had found this movie randomly, I might have turned it off after the first cheap jump scare. But I'm so glad I kept watching. A character in the second half made this movie really fun to watch. That character is a shit but I loved them. They're fictional so that's the only reason why I like them. I wanted them to be on screen all the time because there was no risk.

If they live, then cool! They were fun.
If they die then cool! That's what they get.

Because of them being a shit, I didn't have to feel disappointed with their outcome. It was nice.

Don't worry Darling

I need more insane movies with a plot like this! I'm in love with "Black Mirror" type horror.
Plus, she's such a good fucking actor.

The Black Phone

I loved it. The only thing that made me roll my eyes was how the little girl was speaking when praying. It just took me out of that world because it wasn't believable to me that she would talk like that. Maybe if she was a little older but other than that. This movie is good!

The Menu

Another movie where it's a non-scary horror. But it is a scary situation. Being around a cult. I really loved it. It was funny and creepy. I love horror movies so much. They have been so unique in story telling than other genres.

Smile

This movie has made it to my number one spot for my favorite opening to a movie. It sets the tone so serious and dark when I was expecting the movie to be more silly because of the title. So, the tone was a nice surprise. The actor who plays the first to "smile" was SO GOOD! I really felt their sadness. It make me want to cry with them as they were explaining the hell they were going through.

Plus, the fucking music is so creepy, I felt it affecting me. Loved the soundtrack.

Significant Other

A hidden gem I found. I loved it. It changes it's tone like Barbarian.
I really recommend this fun fucking movie. I loved these characters.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe

I cannot believe it took me so long to check out this movie. Going by it's title I assumed it was going to be really gross and gory so I never clicked on it when I seen it while browsing movies. It wasn't that gross. It focused more on dialogue and the camera did a good job at not staying on the corpse's body and the cutting. So, that was nice. I feel like I could eat while watching this movie.

Open up! Open up! ~Open up your heart and let the sunshine in~
Such a good moment.

The Mortuary Assistant

This game looks cheap but it's so good with it's story. A hidden gem in video games. It's very high tension and scary and the endings are great. I love that each playthrough you get a little bit more of her story.

I heard it's being made into a movie. I hope it's done well! I'm excited!

Unpacking

It's so relaxing. Playing while listen to podcasts. I did four runs.
I hope they make another game or expand by adding more locations to decorate.

Mafia remake

I watched AGirlAndAGame playthrough this series and it was so good! I've heard of this game but never checked it out because Mafia stuff is boring to me. But wow. Seeing a character break bad is so fun in this story. I loved how much it was like a interactive movie.
Loved the ending too. Just wow.

Life is Strange: True Colors

My favorite game in the series so far. It's not perfect but I love it the best.

I love pairing Ryan and Alex together because I love the drama of him having so much faith in his dad and is hurt by your words. And to own his mistake in not believing you and asking for forgiveness. I just really love it because I hate when a couple never fights. It's too unrealistic. People hurt people but good people will feel bad and apologize. I like that more.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Its like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley into one game.

Wylde Flowers

I was given this for my birthday by my friend and I really enjoyed this game! I romanced the least popular character in the game lol I like blondes. I don't know.

Dead Space Remake

Game of the year for me. I'm calling it now. This is a dream come true!!! I love this series and I always said I wanted them to remake the first game to where he speaks. And it fucking happened! It's so much better with being sucked into this word.

I still like the old game but it's nice to have the option between the two. I'm so happy!!!

Beacon Pines

I watched Cuppcaake play. I loved the way this game told it's story, it did a lot of "different timelines" in a really cute way. It was so fun.

Podcasts

Dead Meat - This podcast is really good if you watched a horror movie and want to understand all the hidden messages in it and behind the scenes and stuff. They walkthrough the movie scene by scene instead of just reviewing it without reminded themselves of everything that happens.

Ruined - Another podcast where they walkthrough the movie scene by scene but one of the hosts is too scared to watch so the other host explains the story to them. It's very fun to hear their reaction to scary and creepy moments. Very funny.

Serious Butt Funny - A comedy podcast. This couple is so fun to listen when they "Yes and" and role play with each other. Very silly and wholesome people.

Let's Get Haunted Patreon - I've been a fan of this podcast for a while and I'm so happy to support them. It's my first time using Patreon and I'm so happy it's for them.

Not a podcast but:

CrunchyVA Patreon - On that Patreon high, I also wanted to unlock more of this VA's audios. I've listened to erotic audios here and there but I never became a fan of just one person's audios. Until now. I just became so obsessed with his voice thanks to his catboy audios. I just hear that cat character in almost every one of his audios. I might not stay every month. I'm thinking of canceling before the next billing and just wait 3 months before paying again to marathon all his stuff. Because he seems to be living good. He doesn't really need my support like Let's Get Haunted does.

Very sad he wont be doing collaborations anymore. I get why but damn, his characters were so good interacting with other characters. I loved the TF2 collab, the Big Spooky collab and Demon Boys collab, which I know is tainted with drama but I still really enjoy listening to these audios going to sleep.

Anyways, maybe my dream will come true and he'll get contacted by a company that makes erotic Drama CDs and he can work as a VA for a story series so I can hear his characters along side other sexy voices again. Since he most likely wont want to try working with content creators again...

Psychostick

I forgot about this band, I used to listen to them as a teen and watched funny AMV with their music. So it's was really fun going through all their songs and making a playlist. I just love heavy, hard rock. Plus it's funny. Perfect.

South Park Paramount episodes

I haven't watched South Park since that Pandemic Special so I wasn't sure if I was still going to be into it still but yes! It's still very funny to me!

The Patient

I really enjoyed this show. Loved how it ended. I want to rewatch it sometime soon.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners

I'm so happy what this anime turned out to be! I love Cyberpunk 2077 so I was a little nervous if it was going to be about V. I'm so glad it has nothing to do with V.
The anime is about a different set of characters in the same world. Same location.
I want a Mass Effect show and movie to do the same thing. Please don't ruin Shepard. Please...

Anyways this won Anime of the Year! Fuck yeah!

The Handmaid's Tale Season 5

I was so angry at first about a certain character not being punished enough but then the show delivered and I'm so happy with where it's going. Cannot fucking wait for the next season!

Better Call Saul rewatch

I love this series and Breaking Bad as a whole. It feels like there will never be another show like these two. I hope I'm wrong though.

Kamisama Kiss

Maybe one of the best love stories I've seen in a anime and manga. They are usually cringe to me or too simple for me. But this series made it interesting and very romantic.
Plus, the men are so hot in this series.

Ladybug and Cat Noir Season 5

It's such a cute show. I love the fanart and fanfictions of this so much.

You Season 4

My favorite Yandere! So happy he's back! I hope there's a season 5!
I'm also looking forward to the next book of the series.

Berry

A new Yandere male character enters my life! He's more of a Yandere towards friendships than for romantic feelings. Which is interesting.
I'm so excited for the next season!

Reading

Salems Lot - Because I knew the anime, Shiki was based on Salems Lot, I already loved everything I was reading. I was excited to meet the doctor character and to see everything that is different. After reading it, I think I would've been disappointed with the outcome if I hadn't seen the anime.
But luckily, I had a good experience reading it thanks to the anime being so good.

The Shining - I wish I had read this sooner. SO much better than the movie. I always thought the movie was fucking boring. So I didn't care to read the book. But wow, it's so creepy. I LOVED it.

Patch magazine - Thanks to Cozy K's Youtube videos, I found out about this cute little magazine company. I love these books.

Cozy magazine - Look at them and you'll see why I love these.

Spy x Family Doujin

My first doujin! I wanted one with a hot guy.
Most doujins only care about the woman looking hot...

New Transformers trailer movie

So excited there's going to be another movie!
Please keep making Transformer movies forever!

N7 Day

Teasers of the next Mass Effect game! So excited!
Please let me date a male Quarian as a female character!

Bad stuff

Overwatch 2 - Free to play was a mistake. I thought I was going to get a game with more story. Nope. It's just a Overwatch 1 replacement.

Twitter changes - Fucking sucks.
