Aftershow for The Valleycast - Can Taylor Save The MCU?!

Starts with them talking about new movies.
At the moment, I'm only in the mood for horror movies. So, everything they talked about, I looked it up and was disappointed when it wasn't a horror.

4:44 Their theme song plays.
I always sing along to it, it's so cozy. 🥰

11:47 They talk about a women who just got out of jail for killing her mom and couldn't go see Taylor Swift. Then they go right into people complaining that Taylor Swift uses a private jet.
I agree with the boys, if you're as famous as her, you can't use the airport like everyone else. But if a fucking "Influencer" uses a private jet too much, then it's worth judging them because they could use the airport with ease.

Also, if we all could use a private jet, we all would.

16:49 Dream Warriorz!
I tweeted at Steve about showing the movie they edited again and he said that it might be soon!

My husband wasn't able to see it so I can't wait for them to screen it again so he can laugh with me. The next movie is Batman Forever. I've never seen it but I've never seen Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure either and I still understood what the main movie was about. So, I was able to really enjoy it.

I hope the editors all get so much time and motivation to finish it faster than they thought they would!

It makes me want to edit a short anime series that I wanted to like but couldn't. Kinda like Abridged anime series on Youtube, they look so fun to do! Either to laugh at the story and make it silly. Or for it to be serious and improve the story, like I did with my gameplays.

I had fun recording three different playthroughs (for one game) and editing it down into one. I also played some things out of order but edited like it went in a straight line. I loved trying to make each video feel like an episode of a show. I took out most combat and focused only on the character dialogue and showing off the world in that game.

(Plus, I was sick of perfect, happy endings being popular and deemed "canon" by fandoms, for games with multiple endings, so I made and shared my own playthroughs that ended bittersweet with morally grey adventures.)

I can only imagine how much harder it would be to edit something together that isn't a game because with a game, I can control what I want the characters to say, do and where to go. Instead of having to search for the perfect clips to use. But it seems like a fun challenge.

20:25 Tommy Lee Jones hating Jim Carrey, reminds me of Steve talking about a guy who hates him for the same reason. Steve went up to him to invite the guy to hangout and he told Steve to leave him alone. I remember being annoyed with Mike when his response was giving that guy a pass to be that way. If that happened to Mike, there's no fucking way he would give that guy a pass to be rude to him just because Mike was "too wacky" for him.

If there was someone who I couldn't stand but they never did anything bad towards me, I would be polite and say, "Thank you but I feel like being alone for now." I wouldn't say, "I don't want to deal with you." I know people can be cringe and "too much" but if they aren't jerks, then don't be rude. Just avoid them. It's not hard.

(Steve also may have compared himself to Jim Carrey in that moment when telling Mike about that guy but I might be misremembering.)

It also reminds me of when I was little and my friend's mom hated me because I was shy. Years later my dad told her that he knew she hated me. She acted like she didn't and my dad called her a liar and she laughed. If I could go back in time, I would earn that hate.

37:06 Godzilla movie talk.
Joe made this movie seem interesting. I'm also not a Godzilla fan but my husband is. So, I want to watch this with him now after hearing Joe praise it. Those movies just looked so cheesy but maybe I could give this one a try.

39:25 Slasher movie talk.
I'm also not a fan of those but I love hearing people talk about them. That's the only way I can enjoy cheesy or older movies. The podcasts: Ruined, Dead Meat and Dead Zone Drive-In talk about them scene by scene. It's always so enjoyable hearing people who love something, explain it and I get to see it through their eyes. What I imagine a part looks and sounds like, is better than how the movie shows it. (Most times.)

Also, I love watching Brad Evans react to the Scream movies! He's funny and seeing his joy is the best way to watch movies that aren't for me.

42:59 TV show talk.
I don't like the word, "masterpiece" because it's used when people are thinking about how it ended. The "journey" is more important to me than how a story ends. I know bad endings suck but I can get past it if the rest of it was great. So, I don't really trust Joe and Steve but I'll give the show a try.

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't mind a alien or creature that is humanoid. If the acting, and writing is good, I'll love the story no matter what the alien looks like.

49:06 They talk about new year plans.

The episode ends with them wishing Kevin a Happy Birthday.
