DB remix at the very start tells me this is going to be a great episode.
2:48 They talk about how hard it is for new Christmas songs to become classics.
I love "Snowman" by Sia and "'Tis The Season" by Geena Fontanelle (I know this is a negative Christmas song but I think those are important too.)
The holidays are the only time I listen to the radio, I set it up and have it on all month. So, because of that, there is no Christmas song that is rare to me BUT "Text Me Merry Christmas" By Straight No Chaser.
And that's another song I think should become a classic because it's more relatable than the other songs. Most people will just send a text vs sending a card or calling. Plus, I think it's a cute song and only heard it on the radio twice since it came out.
Now that it's January, the radio is going back into the closet because I get sick of popular songs, unless it's Christmas music.
18:20 Steve went to go to meet his girlfriend's family and a kid embarrassed him there.
I fucking hate kids lol I wonder what Steve said after that because I wouldn't have even spoken to it. But hopefully the kid was just stupid and said the first thing that popped into his head and wasn't trying to be insulting. I know some kids are self-aware with what they can get away with though.
(It frustrates me thinking about Fortnite haters feeling happy to hear that happen to Steve.)
24:17 Mike says he barely remembers the 10 Cloverfield Lane movie.
That makes me sad because I also remember Mike saying that he doesn't care about Cloverfield news anymore while Steve was excited to talk about an actual Cloverfield sequel.
It's the whole reason they started making a podcast together. I couldn't imagine not connecting with my best friend about anime anymore. I'm very picky with anime now but I'll always understand that world and have good memories tied to anime enough to talk about it with her. Mike makes me worried that I can completely grow out of it someday.
Anyway, the Cloverfield segment should just be extra episodes of Steve alone, talking about it for fans who want Steve to nerd out about it with us. Maybe for Patreon?
26:16 Steve mentions Hatsune Miku!
I'm not really a fan but there are so many cool figures and posters of her that I think are awesome. It was shocking to hear her name on DB.
28:36 K.K. Slider!
I LOVE that Mike likes it. I know it's strange to hear what K.K. Slider is and that people love it's music but it's so cute and catchy!
And this character in Animal Crossing also has fans because his songs are fun too!
30:48 Another DB remix 🎶
44:39 History Road
The "IDGAF BeccaDagoo! Tell someone else!" will always be my favorite sound clip.
They create a commercial after reading the first email about a fan getting a bidet. It was like a Super Bowl commercial. I could see it being aired between Adult Swim shows too.
The next email is about a man who got caught looking at women pooping and it makes me hate men for a second. Thankfully, the boys made it funny, I laughed so hard imaging this man having sandwiches with him in the muck.
1:14:47 This email has a really cool DB theme song!
I hope they use it as their new theme 🤞
1:21:24 DB or not DB game.
The pressure was here again like the first time. I liked it!
Kevin taking off his headphones at the end to clap but realized he now can't hear the fun sounds so he slowly puts them back on was funny.
What a way to end the year! (Even though I watched this episode on January 1st because that's when the video version came out. Because the audio version is pointless, you will miss out on so many jokes they don't explain to the listeners.)
Happy New Year, Boys!
