Unofficial aftershow for the official AFTERSHOW: I Thought We Had Done the Weirdest One

Glasses sponsor story from Brett ๐Ÿ‘Œ

8:48 Steve doesn't do standup.
I can't get into standup but if Steve or Brittany Broski started to do it, I would go to their shows. Brittany Broski for sure.

I think this spring she has surpass Steve Zaragoza for me as my favorite comedian. Steve has been my favorite since SourceFed so this is a big realization for me... I'm sorry I had to share that here but it's important because I think those two would get along and I want her to join the EZU someday.

I think Owen and Brett would love her too. I can imagine an alternate universe with them falling in love with her humor, becoming her friends and doing an aftershow for her podcast. She would fit right into Dynamic Banter.

Next they talk about Adam Sandler movies. I remember being a big fan of him when I was young and my parents thought that meant I had a crush on him. I didn't but when I denied it, it sounded like I was lying out of embarrassment but really I was embarrassed they thought that.

I hated when my parents didn't understand me and I was too young to know the words to use to make them understand. Just because I found Adam Sandler funny, didn't mean I fantasied about him.

(I just went on a detailed rant about them but deleted it. It's too personal to share but I want ya'll to know it felt good typing it out.)

I'm happy to learn from Brett that Adam Sandler is a nice person. I haven't kept up with a lot of his recent movies but I enjoyed the murder mystery comedy movies he did with Jennifer Aniston. They actually made me laugh. (I had to google her name, I just know her from Friends.)

18:01 They talk about Jesse's podcast.
I've been thinking about it and I don't want them to ever tell me if they find this blog and read my posts. I thought I wanted that but I feel so free with my thoughts and can share my real feelings about everyone in the EZU.

If you read this, Brett, don't tell me. I know I emailed you but I regret it now. Not a big regret because I feel like even if you talk about this blog, I'll get through it and be alright.

I love being a fan. I don't have the intention of ever becoming friends with people I look up to because I love not holding back my feelings on them when I'm mad or disappointed. I wish other fans can understand that it's okay to be mad while still being a fan of them.

Other fans will drop them on the first red flag and not care to understand that people are messy. I just really love how real Steve and Brittany are. They wear their personalities on their sleeves. When they are conflicted with their feelings on something, they say so. They try to be good people and that's rare ๐Ÿงก

There's also the other ugly side of fans where they believe the people they look up to can do no wrong. I hate stan culture because those fans would hate my blog. They are the reason I rarely participate on Reddit or Discord. Fans can't nitpick anything about the shit they love or they will be labeled as a "hater" no matter how polite the complaint is.

But some criticism is needed because sometimes having a microphone and a following can go to your head. It's good to understand that some outside prospective can help reevaluate ourselves. For Brittany to understand that not all her fans are White and American. And for the boys to understand not all their fans are cis and straight.

And I think they all do a pretty good job at remembering that when we show ourselves in their comments, emails, and photo tags. And know that some of their words can be ignorant. It's not a deal breaker for me to hear ignorance come out of them because I know their hearts are in the right place. But every fan has their limit. I get it.

All this to say, I love being a fan of them because finding good people to follow is getting harder to come by. And I don't want to stop blogging just because they find this and get mad that I rant about them in some of my posts. It's all out of love ✌ Instead of being defensive, just listen to how you sometimes come off.

21:58 That is actually cool to imagine. I've been there twice and it's nice thinking about me being in someone's photo.

31:35 My favorite board game was Sorry! and Mouse Trap.
Sorry! was simple and easy to play, the main reason my family loved it was because it was fun to yell "SORRY" as you aggressively push the other player's pieces out of the way. It was funny because the person had to get up to go find where their piece landed.

I remember playing it with my cousins and the adults were asleep and we would talk low until we had to yell, sorry. I miss that so much. We did get in trouble but the most that would happen is we would get yelled at ๐Ÿ˜‚ It was rare that we did that. Maybe three times we played it while people were sleeping, it was so funny.

Mouse Trap was just fun to set up.

Owen thinks audiobooks are not that good for your brain like reading is. I don't know if he still thinks that since this podcast is like 8 years old but audiobooks is like listening to podcasts. Audiobooks has got to be better for your brain than podcasts, right?!

So, if you're not a reader, just listen to the audiobook on a library app so that you can check out so much for free. A series I'm really into is, The Murderbot Diaries. It's a dramatized adaptation with music, sound effects and voice actors for each character. I really recommend it if you love sci-fi action with light comedy. I love reading but I can't imagine this story being as fun if I were just reading it myself.

48:36 Dynamic Banter should've brought back reading fanfictions of themselves for just their 400th episode. Or for their Patreon. These were great.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - Month of May

Mulaney's New Show, Class Action Lawsuits, and Kevin Hates Fun

I would love to see one of Elliott's live shows someday.

Next they talk about AAVE being "Gen Z lingo" LOL okay.

They then talk about movies dying and with A.I. on the rise that the only type of media that will succeed will be creators being more connected with the audience. I disagree...kinda.

Hazbin Hotel is big because it's an animation that's outside the box of other animated shows and that helped it stand out. It came out of nowhere for me. Plus, it has A24 backing it.

When I seen A24 in the description when browsing new shows on Amazon Prime, it made me want to watch it. If it wasn't for that I might not have checked it out until a friend recommends it to me.

From just judging on the thumbnail art and what I know from other animated shows, I was going to pass on it. It looked like another Rick and Morty, Big Mouth, or Family Guy type of comedy cartoon.

Hazbin Hotel is funny but also knows when to be serious, the series has a focused story. While other cartoons do one or the other. You get serious mellow dramatic stories from anime or get comedy cartoons where every scene tries to be a meme.

I could see Hazbin Hotel being a live action and still having the same vibe but since it is animated, it appeals to viewers in Japan and that booted it's popularity.

It's like a Disney movie but a dark comedy and the songs actually move the story along. The songs aren't wasted just to be catchy, they're a conversation or lore dump.

All these reasons make it succeed past other media using reboots to tell the same story again to win people over with nostalgia. Hazbin Hotel is an new IP being told for the first time.

But the Hazbin Hotel creator is connecting with her audience on social media so that helps boot her show because there was already hype before it came out. She already had a following from her free animation Helluva Boss and her comics.

Maybe the hope is for more new stories to be made with obvious love and passion put into it. I believe if she made a Hazbin Hotel movie, there would be people rushing to see it on the big screen. I would! And I haven't been to the theaters since the new IT movie.

If you enjoy The Boys, you'll enjoy Hazbin Hotel. Same humor but instead of fights, it's cool music videos.

51:07 The ending is great. Elliott needs another solo episode ๐Ÿคž

Steve REFUSES to watch BABY REINDEER?! Is he dumb or something?!

I understand the feeling of sadness for certain friends who might go to hell if they don't change but to act like we know that is what will happen is crazy! No one knows what happens after death. No one.

Rude that someone told Steve he was going to hell and acting like they knew that for a fact ๐Ÿ˜‚ What?! Did God speak to them personality to give them that knowledge?? I hate religion. It's so weaponized and used to shame and scare people. I have faith in God but not in religion.

I don't understand people who are put off by hype, unless it's aggressively rude but we know it's not. It's aggressive excitement most times. If everyone is telling you to watch something, it means it's good for a reason and they really want you to nerd out with them on it.

Even if it ends up being not for you, you will still understand why it's popular and can talk to people about it. Trying to rebel against the hype is sore loser energy.

I checked out The Curse and Game of Thrones and ended up not liking it but I get why others loved those shows. I don't regret watching them. I'm not one of those people who thinks everything I love needs hype and everything I hate needs to be niche.

Steve, how many times have you told people that they need to see something and did so out of excitement? That's all Elliott and Kevin were doing too. They even said they watched what you told them to watch and you still acted like they didn't just so you can continue with your rant. Sit down, Steve. They got you being a hypocrite.

The talk about Star Wars really makes me not want a Mass Effect live action movie or show. It could be great if it was made with love and respect for the series but most likely will be made with the mindset to make money and relatable....

(This would be awesome!)

The Furiosa Drama and The Rock's Pee

0:41 LOL

Them talking about "monkey paw wishes" was very entertaining to listen to. It's funny that the safest way to use the wishes is creating new laws in the country ๐Ÿ˜‚

And I loved the "time travel as an immortal" talk. I also think it would be a really fun videogame. I think Steve and Joe would love Quantum Break.

Babies Are Smarter than We Think

I'm proud of Elliott for working out and keeping it up for a while. I just started getting back into it this week. I'm hoping Elliott and Lindy from Bubzvlogz, will continue to motivate me to keep at it.

I love that Fortnite and Stranger Things are making old rock music popular with kids ๐Ÿงก It's good music.

12:00 Funny bit.

Another funny bit.

They talk about Power Pints and I wish I could go to one. And Moviejuana! They look fun and chill.

Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of May

My Controversial Thoughts on Shrek 2

1:32 I love when she's this brutal and toxic. Hopefully fans don't forget that this is a comedy show.

I hate how I look too. I don't have money for hair extensions and good makeup. All I ever do is black eyeliner and I'll wear a mask forever when I go out because it's better than sunglasses. I love hiding my face.

My friend, Connie showed me I can look good with makeup when I was 17. The first time I looked in the mirror with makeup on, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was a different person. I felt pretty for the first time.

(I'm in the pink dress on the left end and Connie is in pink with a person in-between us.)

Girly clothes but I'm in the anime club in 2007 LOL It felt good to stand out after being in the background as the "shy and quiet girl." I went from T-shirts and sweat pants to jeans with cute tops. A classmate actually asked if we were on the MTV show, MADE. A teacher asked if we had a new student. The shock from my teachers, classmates, family and friends was awesome.

A boy I never seen before asked me out (or for my number, I can't remember) after school and I turned him down by shaking my head and walking away. Felt great!

44:53 I'm watching but thank you, Brittany for explaining. Show other lazy podcasts hosts how fucking easy this is to do!!!

Broski Nation Space Program & Popemobile

She says in the start of her video that some episodes are backlogged and I think people need to use their heads and realize a lot of content creators do that. When something big happens and fans keep asking stupid questions like, "why didn't she talk about that thing yet in the episode?" It's because it might be a episode that was recorded a while ago. These are only an hour long. All she has to do is record for four hours a day and she's set for the month.

5:40 "Blank is my favorite blank"!!! I love any hint of The EZU coming from Brittany.

19:05 I love that she keeps in touch with her friend from Korea. I wish I kept in touch with my friend in Japan.

30:39 LOL No, I get that though! It feeling futuristic and having different cultures and people around you traveling to different parts of the world: I can see why she felt like it was Star Wars. I would've been thinking about the citadel in Mass Effect ๐Ÿ˜‚

Next she talks about being depressed in April. Most likely has to do with fucking drama with the texts. Her fake friends showing themselves. At least she knows who are fake now and hopefully she knows the signs to be careful of the friends that haven't shown themselves yet.

I hope she knows who shared her private story instead of doing the work as a friend and actually talk to Brittany about how she's wrong. But nah, throwing her under the bus while they stay anonymous was easier for them. I hope they're so jealous of Brittany's fame: she met Beyonce ๐Ÿ’…

I love people like her and Steve Zaragoza who are not perfect and they admit it. They know they have lots to learn and they are open to learning. They wear their personalities on their sleeves.

(I'm comparing them because they are the funniest people in the world to me.)

Any mistakes they make, they try to correct. I love them both. There is no perfect person. Look at your past and cringe at how problematic you were and thank God that you weren't recorded doing or saying those things. Let people grow like you got to.

49:35 My reaction when people complain about The Valleyfolk firing Lee. Go cry to Lee about it.

Me vs. Crab Rangoon & Bridgerton

LOL I need her to be a character in Hazbin Hotel. We need another funny angel character who's a woman. (I'll talk more about this later.)

Her talking about having a discussion with her professors about art and stories is what I love to do but with videogames, TV shows and horror movies. It's so unsatisfying when someone doesn't get the hidden meaning in Midsommar because "it was weird and wrong of her to smile in the end."

Or people talking about Mass Effect only to say stuff like, "I miss Garrus and Shepard. Andromeda sucks." So, I just want to nerd out in a way that isn't casual. I love talking about works of art in media.

She then talks about being lonely in her own home and if fans would still follow her years later or if she went offline for a year to write a book. Yes! She should do that to experience being a normie again and just focus on being an anonymous fangirl who texts her friends in private about her crushes. Without worrying about random people judging her.

48:30 ๐Ÿ˜‚

50:45 Praying to trump so casually and quickly is the funniest shit.

I love that she doesn't fear getting old, in a way: she would rather get old than to die young. She's going to have fun as a old woman ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The Tea on How I Got Fired (Twice)

0:17 Again, I want her to voice act in Hazbin Hotel. This just seems like it could be a catchphrase; maybe to a character doing the news in heaven? And just the loud and hyper vibe, she can just be herself and that character would fit right into the show. Plus, she's a good singer!

1:49 Sounds like another line that would be in Hazbin Hotel. The show doesn't have a female character who's charmingly comedic. The show only has Lucifer and Adam as the funny ones, which is why they are fun to see on screen. It would be nice to have a female character like that too!

She mentioned more than once that she wants to voice act in a Disney movie someday. How about "Dirty Disney"? (What they called it in Japan.)

If her song was country it would be perfect ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I'm sorry, all I can think about is Hazbin Hotel now, I'm reading fanfictions, following fan artists on Twitter, listening to roleplay audios, looking up reaction videos of people watching the series for the first time, looking up Japanese translations to read the Japanese comments (and see what they think of the show since it became a hit over there) and buying doujinshi!

4:14 ๐ŸŽต

9:17 Come on, it's such a line characters say in comedies but she's just being herself!!! She is the funniest person ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

20:15 I love when she sees the problem and doesn't fucking care. That's what it's like to be a fangirl who can separate reality from fiction. And that's how and why it's so fun to love villains.

Is Vox from Hazbin Hotel a piece of shit and friends with pieces of shit? Yes. Do I care? No, because his look and voice is sexy. (And I think Valentino is hot ๐Ÿคท I love how his voice can go high and low, plus his look is ๐Ÿ’… Fiction is fucking fun, everyone.)

51:14 Another fast prayer to trump bit that I love lol!

56:24 This is why she's too good for that spoiled brat's podcast. I love how down to earth Brittany is. Before this story, I knew she was a good person with a sensible mind. Just sucks her ex-fans and ex-friends couldn't see it.

1:12:17 Fuck yeah, Brittany. Hahaha!

Such a good episode to show that she's mature and fucking funny. If Franchesca Ramsey had gotten to know Brittany, I think they could've been friends. Maybe there's still hope?

I Need to Feed Stanley Tucci Hamburger Helper

The freakout about the bug on her desk in the beginning was funny.

4:26 ๐Ÿ‘€

5:40 ๐Ÿ˜‚ She's talking to you:

(26 upvotes... Sometimes this fandom makes me ๐Ÿคฎ)

39:09 How I feel about Valentino from Hazbin Hotel.

47:04 I have that intense feeling when looking for fanfiction, fanart or doujinshi. I need to see or read my character crushes in a certain way instead of just in my head!

48:00 That's nothing compared to liking weird looking cartoon characters. Get on that level, Brittany. It's the only level left that you're not on! But you're half way there because you can point out when cartoons are hot

You just need to have bigger crushes on them than just mentioning them once. (Ghost looks real so he doesn't count, he's not weird enough.)

I need her to get a crush on a character from Hazbin Hotel and I think it's the best cartoon for that to happen because she'll fall in love with their singing. And I need her to fangirl about that show to fulfill my obsession with it.

59:26 LOL
