Summer 2020

Watchmen Rewatch

Watching this with my husband was so amazing. I loved seeing his reactions and hearing his thoughts about this show. It's so good! If there's another season I hope I love it just as much.

The Wire

I got HBO for the first time and seen this show was on there and decided to finally watch it. I love Breaking Bad so much and heard from a lot of people that The Wire inspired it. I did enjoy it over all and totally get why people say it's one of the best shows ever. But it was kinda a slow burn for me. I loved the first season and was kinda disappointed that the other seasons hardly kept that same vibe for me.

I'm so happy to know that Omar exists. Totally worth watching this show just for this character. I don't think I'll watch the show again anytime soon but I will watch clips of Omar on Youtube a lot.

Aggretsuko season 3

This is my new favorite anime at the moment. I wish other romance anime was like this one. I hope they at least take notes because Aggretsuko is very good at showing how complicated relationships can be. It's not the same bullshit drama other romance anime continues to do. These characters actually grow and have hard conversations and realizations. Plus, it has good comedic moments that don't seem childish and out of place. The only thing bad about this show is the episodes are only 15 minutes and there's only 10 episodes. I'm excited for season 4.

The Signal (spoilers)

I love the idea I read online about the characters being in a computer because of some clues that things didn't load right or at all if it wasn't expecting the boy to go there. Like, the toilets not having wall separators, the clock not working, the road not being finished and food not being in cans.

Also, his friends never existing but being loaded from his memories and thoughts of what he thinks happened to his friends. So, that's why his friend survives the explosion and a shot to the back and why the men try to keep his arm on the bed when he's trying to reach for his girlfriend's hand. She's not really there.

Or he could have just been taken to a different planet but I like the idea that he's inside a computer more because I love AI shit so much.

The Night Clerk (mid spoilers)

I enjoyed how smart this character really is. That ending was such a good way to show us that he was one step ahead the whole time.

Transformers War for Cybertron

I love this series so much. There's more female Transformer characters in this one than their are in other Transformers shows. So, I hope the next season adds more females because it really needs it anyway. There's only 3... Come on now!

The Witcher books

Loved it.

The only thing I hated was Geralt having sex with a 17 year old girl. Fuck the creator for that. It's like he was thinking, "This is a world where magic, monsters, and elves exists but I want to make sure the story's views the treatment of girls are historically accurate so I can justify my male characters having sex with teens."
Fuck you.

Vampyr

This game was such a prize. I'm shocked that I didn't hear much about it. The story and characters are so good and well written. I think because of the graphics that it looks like it's just an okay game. But the music and camera shots did really well adding to dramatic scenes.

I could see this being a good TV show or movie for sure.

After Party

I loved this game. It's so funny and after watching Lucifer on Netflix, i felt like it had the same feel. This game was such a joy to play.

Gris

Very relaxing game and very pretty.

Journey

Finally got to play this and it was just okay. I should have played this when it just came out to really enjoy it for it's time. But I'm still happy I played it.

The Long Dark

This game had a cute update. It added Canadian snacks. Plus, there was a temporally a harder winter mode. I beat it and it was fun. Can't wait for episode 4 to come out too.

Breath of the Wild

Another game I'm finally getting to play. It's good but I'm finding it hard to play it for hours like I can with other games. I only play for like an hour then stop for the day. I have no idea why I can't play it longer. Maybe because the story isn't that interesting or because I can't keep using the weapons forever. I don't know but it is fun in short bursts.

Persona 5

This game started off strong but I started to not enjoy it after their upperclassmen joined the team. The story went down hill from there because I found her character so annoying from the start. And I didn't like how the story tried to make her seem so much smarter than everyone else when she just gave commonsense advice and plans. Plus, Mona wont shut up.

Lucifer season 5

It was great seeing the main character again. The rest of the show is shit tho. Bad writing and bad acting from other characters. Lucifer's character is the only reason I keep watching.

Working Out

I feel good about doing this. It's been 3 weeks now and I hope I don't give up. I thought about doing a before and after picture but I hate my body right now that I can't stand taking a picture of it.

Bad Stuff

The Last Of Us Part 2 - I did a whole blog post about this game so read that if you want to know why I hated this 5 out of 5 game. I'm still hurt about what this game gave me.

Blue Reflection - This game is $60 but looks so much cheaper than Persona 5, which was a $20 game. Such a let down. I'm glad I got it on sale but I still feel like I over paid.
