Fall and Winter

Geoff Ramsey
F**kface Break Show
Clutch My Pearls
ANMA
So... Alright

Annnnnnd Rooster Teeth is shutting down after I just found out about his podcasts.... I've been marathoning them before they get taken down or something. But he has said that he plans on continuing these podcast in a different form and under a different name so not all is lost.
I wish him and his friends the best.

And I'm so happy that he got married again. This might be weird to say but I find it so sweet that he's getting married a third time. Because it shows that he hasn't given up hope on love and finding someone who makes marriage fun. I love that she even says, "I'm not the same person as your ex so don't expect the same outcome."

In a world where many people only get married because it's expected of them or they never get married again because it didn't work out the first time, it's romantic to see that Geoff is following his heart. Fuck popular opinion and statistics. Just live life how you want, what feels right for you.

I love that he says she makes fun of him now for saying at the start of their relationship, "I'll never get married again." But look at him now 🩷

Forgot to Save

I'm happy their back! A podcast about playing videogames they always wanted to check out but just haven't yet. It's good motivation. I started taking out my old systems and making room for them to replay or try some old games that I've had my eye on.

Relistening to the EZU podcasts

I love Steve Zaragoza and his friends.

Sachie's vlogs

I love her cozy aesthetic. I wish she did longer vlogs.

Cyberpunk 2077 novel

Loved it. Love the dark world and ending.

(Small spoilers):
Fans who complain that stories are too depressing nowadays need to look around. There are still so many stories where everything works out in the end; "the power of friendship saves the day!" So, many of those stories are still around. Start getting used to seeing spaces for more stories where evil wins no matter how powerful your friendship is.

Its refreshing to not be able to predict who might win vs in the past, we always knew it would work out for our heroes.

Talk To Me

A very good movie for their first movie. Can't wait for their next one.

No One Will Save You

Loved this! I didn't even notice that there wasn't any dialogue until 25 minutes in or so. I loved the ending. The people that want more explanation can learn to use their imagination and fuck off. Movies shouldn't have to force feed us lore. The lore isn't needed because we are here for the horror and outcome of the main character.

"That's kind of a fucked up ending!" It's a horror movie, it should be fucked up.
I'm not into family friendly horror.

Transformers: Rise of the Beast

Guilty pleasure 😍

South Park: Joining the Panderverse

I'm so fucking happy that South Park can still make me laugh. I loved this. I hope they make another game where we play as "the new kid."

No Country for Old Men

I loved how realistic and dark this movie was. It's not for everyone but I loved how close to real life it was and real life isn't always satisfying. Can't wait to listen to the audio book because if a movie is good, then the book is always better.

The Friendship Game

It gets "eh" right before the ending but the rest of the 90% of it was fun. I loved imagining this movie as an anime. I want to see more creative stories like this that focus heavy on character friendships and relationships while the supernatural shit is just background noise. Not a perfect movie but a really fun one with realistic young characters.

Cyberpunk DLC

Fucking amazing. I was invested in the story and characters. Instantly interested. The President was hard to hate, I thought she was fucking cool even if I disagreed with her. Love it when characters like that are in stories.

The ending was heartbreaking even though I thought about that happening, it was still shocking to hear the character say those words to confirm my guess. I loved the writing and storytelling.

Scars Above

This was a very nice find. I just got it because it was on sale for very cheap and I would've paid full price if I had known I would've liked it this much. Reminded me of Mass Effect.

Quantum Break

I can't believe I've never played this game before. I also, can't believe that people say this game wasn't that well liked when it came out. I think maybe it was before it's time with it showing a live action show with the gameplay. It was awesome to see areas in the show being in the game and areas in the game being in the show! The game we see it from the main characters' point of view and the show was from the side characters' point of view.

This is why I think videogames are the best form of story telling. It can do it all. Anything movies and shows can do, videogames can do. It doesn't need to be a shooter to be fun. This game could've been a "walking simulator" or visual novel and I still would've loved it. This story about controlling time, and time travel, is my favorite because it has a rule that they can't go back in time past the point of the first activation of the time machine.

I love this limit on traveling to the past because it stops all the tropes and cliches that other stories with time travel touch on. "Lets go make sure our enemy is never born!" "Don't become your own grandparent!" This game focuses on a smaller time frame than other time travel stories and it having the time control power being in a focused area bubble is really different from other stories too!

If I had played this game when it came out, it would've been my Game of the Year.

The Long Dark DLC

A very good game to play while listening to a podcast or music. Sometimes I don't listen to anything because I love imagining that I'm the character in the game and in nature. I love just hearing the game sounds (I turn off the in-game music.) like; walking, cooking, crafting, eating, animal and weather noise.

I loved this DLC, it added more quests, items and we can now see our character's hands covered in any clothing we put on. Before it would just show default hands but now, it's fun to wear different gloves and jackets just to see it animated on our character.

Bramble: The Mountain King

I beautiful and dark game that I knew was creepy but didn't expect it to get that dark. I love when horror doesn't warn you for triggering content. It being horror should be warning enough to expect anything evil.

PowerWash Simulator

Another very good game to play while listening to a podcast or audiobook. It feels so satisfying to clean dirt and mug and seeing everything clean. Played it on Xbox Game Pass 👌

The Lamplighters League

The characters feel like they're from Team Fortress 2 but set in a dramatic world. I loved it. This game should be more popular.

I love that the story is about stopping the end of the world but not with the typical heroes. They don't even believe in supernatural shit but they were hired by someone who does. I love when a story doesn't have their characters always being so noble and kind to fit the title of being a hero.

Sea of Stars

Very beautiful game and I love that the female character has the same name as me 💖 I hated the friend that tags along with them. HATE HIM. He couldn't leave the party sooner. The game gets 100 times better once he's out because of the reveal. The reveal to the world becoming bigger is my jam. I thought this game was going to be shorter but no, it's a long game. Love that.

Hazbin Hotel

I loved this show but wish it was more dark than "we're best friends until the end!" Also, the final fight was kinda cringy but over all, I enjoyed this show very much. Can't wait for season 2.

I ordered the beautiful trading cards and can't wait for them to get here!

Blogging and emailing

I've been really enjoying being active on my blog that I usually only used for my seasonal favorites and disappointments. And it got me motivated to email podcasts I love because I'm sick of being a lurker. Maybe I'll get lucky and have them read my email just to know that I exist for the moment they are reading it. Like, when streamers shout out usernames or someone you're a fan of gives your tweet a "like", it feels exciting!

Bad stuff:

(Me trying to stay calm and see if I can recover my videos from my deleted channel while David takes a relaxing shower and has no idea that I'm stressing.........)

("For any reason" fuck you.)

Also, Gen V was okay. It started out strong but then focused too much on love interest bullshit. It's not the main point but it's a big point that is hard to not let it bother me. At least, it got me excited for the next season of The Boys. I'm done with teen characters being main characters.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is very beautiful and started off fun but got so boring so fast. I stayed to see how the romance ended and it was a big disappointment. Do not play this game for the romantic storylines. They don't even kiss.

The Curse was just a waste of time. A very cool ending that the series doesn't deserve.

The Bear I loved the first season because it was nice to see after watching the movie, The Menu and comparing what was overdramatic and what was actually true in the restaurant world. But the second season was so bad, I'm dropping the show. The tone completely changes. Only the episode, "Forks" was worth watching.

Coral Island was a game I was looking forward to because of the hype and it seems like it could be a really good game...once it's finished. It has a very annoying bug where it crashes randomly and you waste the whole in game day because it doesn't save your progress until you sleep at night. This makes me hate how I can't save anywhere I want. Unplayable with that bug. And the only character I want to romance has a bug where I can't progress his story so that's when I quit. I'll wait until it's done. Don't make players pay to be your game testers. It's not fun playing a broken game.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is a really fucking cool concept but I really hate the tone of the comedy and characters. They act like characters in a family friendly movie but this movie isn't family friendly. It doesn't fit. I hated it. I want to see this same story done again with either a more dry comedy or more serious with little to no comedy. 🤞

My top favorite game trailers

1. The Witcher 3 - A Night to Remember

I love how it feels like a short film!

2. Observation

I'll be into almost any sci-fi horror with A.I.
This trailer does a good job making this story very interesting while not giving anything away.

3. Prey

A sci-fi horror that feels like a short film!

4. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game - Area

Another one that feels like a short film but as a "two-sentence horror story" type.

5. The Outer Worlds 2

This one is funny. It makes fun of other trailers while also fitting the tone for it's own game!

6. Dead Space 2

It's simple but changing the lyrics a little helps fit this game's tone and story so well.

7. Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach

Another two-sentence horror story trailer! (Too bad the game isn't as good as it's trailer...)

(Jump scare warning around 55 seconds!)

8. Prey

Yes, the same game as number 3 but this trailer is different, showing gameplay.
And with the female main character instead.

9. Destiny 2

Another funny one. It shows two different characters giving a speech in their own styles.

10. Mass Effect 2

I love this trailer because it shows that someone is looking for Shepard or keeping an eye on them and that they were killed, leaving fans to guess if it was by the Geth being shown. Because the words were showing up too fast for it to be someone typing, it was a big clue that what was being filled in was by the Geth. Plus, the N7 armor it was wearing and with the Geth being damaged, it fits that the screen was very glitchy with lots of static.
Also, the possibility that Shepard's memories were inside that Geth is exciting to think about!

Honorable mention: The Witcher 3 - Killing Monsters

Same game as number 1 but showing Geralt killing different monsters.
Also, a short film feel.

Winter 2020-2021

 The Lie

The ending feeling like a slap to the face is so perfect. I love it because it's exactly how the main characters feel. Exactly. I recommend it.

Gone Girl

After years of hearing people mention this movie and comparing it to other stories in a way I wasn't sure if it meant it was a good movie or a bad movie...I finally watched it! I loved it. I had no idea what it was about other than it being a mystery and a hint that there was a twist.

Deadpool

I watched both movies back to back and really enjoyed them. I didn't really care about any other characters but the main one. I did like Lady Luck. Her power sounds dumb but turned out to be really cool and very powerful. The violence in these movies are very entertaining.
It's been awhile since I enjoyed my time watching a movie with my brain turned off.

Attack on Titan season 4

It's fun to see the manga being animated but I'll be honest, some of the 3D looks disappointing. I wish the actions and movements were animated all the same style like the first season.
But I'm still having fun watching this with my best friend every week.

Rewatching shows

I fucking loved rewatching The Leftovers with my husband. I was so happy to share that show with him. I'm sad it's over. But I watched Lovecraft Country and it's fun to watch but man...I really love The Leftovers so much. I want to watch it again with someone who hasn't seen it.

I rewatched Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Witcher and The Walking Dead by watching along with people I found on Youtube. One channel is a married couple and I LOVE their reactions because they actually have a good moral compass compared to other fans who are Team Walt or Team Jesse.
I like how these people are open minded to understand characters they hate as well.

And the other channel is of these two friends who are both mothers and they are so funny and also have a good moral compass. I recommend checking both of these channel's out:

The Surge 2

I love it more than the first one. I hope I'll love the third one more than this one.

The Long Dark

A very relaxing yet challenging game. It's very easy to get into. One of those games I can play while listening to music or a podcast.

The Outer Worlds DLCs

I LOVE the humor in this game. I wish Cyberpunk 2077 has more of a comedic tone like this game. It's so fun to play, that even the bad guys are likeable. These additions to the main story are so good. I hope there's another DLC on the way or that the second game comes soon.

The only thing this game is missing is letting players have a romantic interest. I love when RPGs let players fall in love with a character.

Your Honor

I'm so happy this series exists. I love how it scratches the Breaking Bad itch while being a completely different show. The tone is so like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. It's fun seeing him play as a man in power vs a poor man in Breaking Bad.

I loved how the season ended as well. Makes me wonder how dark his character becomes. Can't wait!

Keanu Reeves

Haven't had a celebrity crush since I was a teen but after Cyberpunk 2077, I started to get interested in Keanu because of Johnny Silverhand. I've been watching his movies and thanks to John Wick, I'm now fully obsessed with this man. Been looking up interviews and stuff on Youtube. Learning just how humble Keanu is compared to other famous people, how can I not develop a crush on him?
I hope he stays pure and nice.

(I think he's great in comedies, he should be in way more funny movies.)

Cyberpunk 2077

The fanfics of Valerie and Johnny is a dream come true.

I made a podcast episode talking about most of my thoughts on this game so I wont repeat it here. Basically, I really enjoyed this game. Played it three times.
Check out my podcast: Superior Code

Bad:

Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 - This game shouldn't of come out yet. It wasn't ready. Lots of people couldn't focused on the story because of how glitchy it was. Shame.

The Affair - I loved seeing two different perspectives but hated when it changed to seeing other character's perspectives. I think it would've been better if the show only focused on two main characters. Instead of four.... And the show is longer than it should be. Waste of time.

Search Party season 4 - I don't like what they've done to the main character. It would've been fun seeing her become more twisted and evil. But they basically made it so she ends up in a prison anyways. It wasn't good.... At least her friends were funny. I kept watching for them.

Fall 2020

Fall Guys

A really fun "battle royal" game and really cute! I still really find it fun months later.

Control AWE DLC

I loved this expansion! There is so much lore and shows how this game connects to the Alan Wake games. It was very exciting playing this.

Doom Eternal

This game having so much interesting lore was a pleasant surprise. Just like God of War 4, this Doom game was more than just "turn your brain off and kill enemies" like the older games were for these series. I love all the reading there is in Doom Eternal and it's optional so if players don't want to know the details of the world and characters, then they can just enjoy the cutscenes. The game simplifies it good enough for the player to not have to read the codex. I can't wait for the next DLC!

Genshin Impact

This game is the anime version of Breath of the Wild but free to play.

Lovecraft Country

The first episode is the best one and I was really hoping the rest of the series would continue to feel as good as that first ep. I thought it would be the next best series after Watchmen but...it wasn't. I did still enjoy it but I have a lot of nit picks. I have hope though that in season 2, the creators will learn from their mistakes so I can't wait!

Space Force

It's so much more funnier than I thought it would be! I loved it! Such a fun show!

Pen15 Season 2

I love this show, it makes me miss my cousin who used to be my best friend. The show just makes me feel good. Makes me remember fun memories.

The Witcher books

I read more and I love finding out how Geralt met characters that show up in the game and reading about Ciri's struggles.

Superior Code podcast

I started my own podcast. It's just me talking about fun "what ifs" of series I love. It feels nice explaining something fun that's in my mind without someone interrupting me or disagreeing with me.
I'm fine with listeners disagreeing in the comments because by then, at least I got to explain everything fully instead of the back and forth discussions of people interrupting each other. So, if people want to talk to me about these fun topics, it'll only be in the YouTube comments.
So, doing it this way just avoids misunderstandings, if that makes sense.

Belle Delphine

I'm so happy she has decided to do "interviews" on a few podcasts recently because now more people will stop acting like she's not human. Even though that should have been common sense a lot of people are heartless anyway. I know she says that it doesn't bother her because it's a character all these people are insulting but it really bugs me. It's very sexist how the internet kind of all agrees to trash a girl online for being weird but when guys are weird, it's funny???
Her content was always funny to me. Yes, it's "E-girl" version the way she does her jokes but it's still funny! It's like Bree Essrig's sense of humor! (I want them to team up so bad!)

I've been following her way before she sold her bathwater so I'm just happy that now a lot more people will start treating her better and talking about her in a more respectable manner. Even though she has thick skin, I think it's good if people start being polite anyways because of future girls like her who wont have thick skin. She loves when people talks about her because it gives her more attention but maybe other girls wont like that unless it's respectable.

I'm just really happy that she's doing really well and has a partner to be by her side.

The bad stuff this season:

Away
is just such a waste of a show. Could have been a good sci-fi drama but it decided to make the leader a crybaby and make the rest of the crew weak and nonprofessional.

The first episode was interesting but after the second episode, I knew this series was going to be bad.

At first I loved that they made the Commander a woman but then I find out that she's too nice. The show wants her to be so good hearted that it makes her a pushover. There's a way to make leaders a nice person who puts their friends over the mission while still being intimidating. But they didn't want to do that because they did what most anime does with their main female characters; they made them goody-goody, emotional wrecks.

What really pisses me off is that they wouldn't have make her that way if she were a male commander character.

(If there's ever a Mass Effect live action with Femshep, they better not make her cry like people do in fanfiction a LOT.)

I don't give a shit about the dumb family drama. I hate that the characters were able to have live conversations with their loved ones while traveling in space. Unnecessary stress from her daughter being bratty. I understand being scared for your mother's life in space but how about having some pride that she is a commander and in fucking space AND going to be the first to land on Mars? Ungrateful brat had years to prepare and accept that she wont have her mother in her life for 3 years.

Plus, the Commander is bothered with who her daughter is dating. I mean, really? Keep your focus on the mission! Such a dumb character. How did she become leader?

Search Party started out so fucking good. The first season is great, the second I still enjoyed but the 3rd was annoying. It didn't feel enjoyable to watch as much but now that all the court stuff is over, I'm excited for the fourth season. It might be unfair to put this show in the list of bad things but it did make me not want to recommend this show until I see how it finally ends.

Higurashi (New series) is another show that might be unfair for me to put in this bad list but so far it's such a let down. There's too much wasted time on fan service and fluff. I just want the new series to just focus on the story. It hasn't finished airing but there's 12 eps so far and they're not great.

Ryan Haywood from AH is a big creep.
