Aftershow for The Broski Report - Month of March

Red Bull Turned me into Iron Man

7:30 Thank you. Maybe I will. It has been a while. I will be dancing to a different song though.

22:56 Thank you for this rant.
I hate how the "well actually" people are always in our heads. I try enjoying something but I end up imagining what a hater is saying about it. I wish there was a way to stop having those thoughts!

25:03 I love when a rant turns into a bit and then turns into a tangent.

I feel that level of passion with Alan Wake 1 and 2, Quantum Break and Control. I had so much fucking fun playing these games back to back. They are all in the same universe.

37:28 I understand not going to a dance class. I would feel so shy dancing in front of others. But I remember being into the anime, Sound! Euphonium season 3 that I wanted to try learning an instrument.

43:50 I'm very happy for you, Brittany! I hope your haters see RED every time you show up on their feed.

Gabagool & the French Revolution

Okay! I'll read Red Raising! I just fear it might be too boring with it's lore like The Expanse is. I tried but that show is so fucking boring. People kept comparing it to Mass Effect--my favorite series--and fuck them for tricking me like that!

I did enjoy the Expanse TellTale videogame but only because the characters made it fun, NOT the lore. So, maybe the show gets better in season 2? I don't know. I'll try to watch it again someday.

But for now, I'll check out the first book of Red Raising...from the library.

27:01 I daydream of a different version of myself too. Hahaha!

37:24 Funny bit.

52:02 Same with this Hazbin Hotel fanfiction. (If you don't know, it's about these two male demons adding a woman--an OC--to their sex life. It's so well written and hot. There's many cringy fanfics are out there, so it feels really nice finding hidden gems, where you KNOW the writer COULD/SHOULD write a book someday.)

Her mentioning God of War reminds me that I have to finish that fucking game. I know it's good! Why am I not finishing it?! I need to this year. If I can't play it myself, I need to watch a no commentary playthrough.

58:56 LOL

Left My gallbladder in Italy

This story makes me squeamish. It's interesting but I always get scared of listening to hospital stories because I keep imagining that it's happening to me.

20:33 I LOVED the feeling of jump-cutting through time when I had to get my back teeth pulled out. I was awake then instantly I was in the car with my husband driving. Then I closed my eyes and was home the next time I opened them. It was awesome! I loved not having to deal with being awake during all that.

I'm so grateful to have a husband who can drive and carry me, no problem. He was stressed because he thought I was in pain the whole time but I wasn't. I was apparently asking questions and talking with my eyes open but I don't remember any of that. Fucking awesome!

30:52 I'm so happy for you!! I love imagining all the haters and your ex-friends being so pissed at how talented you are and the internet knows it too now! I'm happy you went viral to get to this point in your life.

And I can't wait to buy your music.

Please collab with Corey Taylor who loves music as strongly as you--if not stronger since music saved him; made him not want to end his life as a teen--because he has so much fun with his Stone Sour and CMFT bands where it's not just dark themes like his music with Slipknot.

I love the first album of CMFT because the booklet the CD comes with can be opened up into a poster of a collage of photos. It's of them working on the album. It's so fun and makes it feel like a punk-rock band that came out in the early 2000s. I felt like a teenager again listening to it. (It came out in 2020.)

I can hear Corey Taylor smiling as he sings these songs. I love feeling how much fun he had writing and singing and playing with this band.

I really hope you meet him meet and become friends.

36:13 Exactly.

My songs of the month are just Corey Taylor; his three bands:

Song is about his friend that past away who was in Slipknot:

Only when the fates commiserate
Do we get a little taste as unique?
The libertine,
Know what I mean?
Hiroshima on a Sunday
You had a gift, you were a gift
But there's always a goddamn catch
Blessing and a curse, you made it work
The universe seems so much smaller
Legend!
Bastard!
Best friend!
Why?
Why do the limits have to realign
Hero!
Martyr!
Mystery!
God - he was the best of us
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
Never be the same, I want the blame
To be assigned to the guiltiest one
It can't be done, because the son
Was the victim they arrested
I'm so fucking pissed at all of this
You gotta know that you are sorely missed
Miracles are real
They help you heal
They make you feel
Like things will get better
Father, brother, scapegoat, why?
Why did we only skip this time?
Fighter, icon, Skeptic
God - stop taking the best of us
I won't let you disappear
I will keep your soul alive if I can't have you here
History may have its share of lunatics and stars
But the world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Skeptic
Where am I supposed to begin?
I'm killing for the karma again
Feed the meter in the machine
Believing is the way to be seen
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - are we alone?
Gone - we're not alone
I can't let you disappear
I will keep your soul alive if I can't have you here
We were meant to be the kings
Rule the masses, run the risk
And keep our systems clean
History may have its share of lunatics and stars
But the world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see another crazy motherfucker like you
The world will never know another man as amazing as you
The world will never see
(will never see)
Another crazy motherfucker like you
(like you)
Like you
(like you)
Like you

I think metal is the best way to feel how angry the singer can get vs any other type of music genres.

Metal is much more therapeutic with releasing real frustration. I like to hear singers scream into the mic, even if they don't make metal music--I want more singers to put yells into their pissed off songs.

Just use the screams like an extra instrument vs treading them like just lyrics.

Aftershow for The Valleycast - Month of February

Sure, but have you ever been to an aquarium?

6:38 He would. Mike always has some shit to say to Steve.
Remember when he was triggered by people using "Karen" as an insult just because his sick aunt has that name? And when Steve tried to make a funny game show out of the topic on the comedy podcast, Mike shut it down by insisting that the show wasn't a game show but a serious show.

Remember when Steve was so excited to share with Mike that he got a star named after him, but Mike shit all over that energy? Steve still played along and tried to make bits out of Mike roasting that gift but Mike didn't join in on the jokes. Haha! It looked like he was mad how easy Steve was taking the roast and was able to laugh at himself. Something Mike couldn't do.

Only Mike can laugh at himself, no one else join in on it though!!!

It was uncomfortable seeing Steve put the paper away.

And remember this episode?

If anyone reading this is a big Mike stan, remember:

16:25 I love you guys. No one's improve bits sounds so natural than how Steve, Elliott and Joe does it. Brittany Broski would be perfect joining in because she does long bits solo but so far, no one has matched her in a random bit, without breaking before adding to her joke.

Please don't stop The Valleycast anytime soon! No other group of comedians are as good as you guys with bouncing jokes off each other.

Dynamic Banter used to be but now with Mike not saying "yes and" with everything UNLESS he actually agrees with the statement, (he's the fun police now.) The Vcast is the only podcast that will do bits about statements they don't agree with to get laughs.

(Steve, please remind Mike that the point of a comedy podcast is to say all the funny shit in the recording and not before or after recording. It's like he just waits to air out all his bitchy hot takes on the podcast and DOESN'T want to turn them into bits. Tell Mike to get a journal for unfunny hot takes.)

I wish these boys would follow more black activists so he can know what to do. I recommend:

I wish Steve didn't deactivate his Twitter but instead left it unused because now someone can act like him. And he had very funny tweets and it sucks that they're gone now....

I understand why Steve feels like there's no hope because I have moments like that too.

They should watch Stephen Corbet for news and be able to laugh and stay inform.
Not his interviews, just his monologs.

Foster dog. Adopt dog. Sell dog. Profit?

I love that Steve made someone's childhood dream come true by selling the Ghost Busters pack!

20:17 Funny pun. I usually hate puns but the boys use puns in a why that isn't cringe. Thank you, God.

I'm excited that Elliott is reading a Stephen King book!

I think he's the person I'm waiting to be done and return it so I can check it out! The Hoopla app says I'm next in line and I remember Elliott saying that he uses Hoopla.

I know this is stupid but I'm going to say it anyway; I feel connected to Elliott. Again!

The other time was when he talked about something he wrote being in a magazine the same month something I wrote was in a magazine! It was November 2023!

I hope you love the book all the way until the end, Elliott. I did!

31:27 All. Movies. Should.

People who complain about movies needing their full attention is why we have stupid shit happening, like Netflix telling writers to make characters explain what they are doing so people can know what's going on without looking at the screen.

Cheap shit being made because people like Kevin (this movie was brought up before--and I guess Steve forgot--Kevin complained about it not letting him be on his phone...) are saying that movies that demand your attention is a point against watching it.

I'm glad Kevin doesn't go on the podcast anymore. Him being a casual (and a hater) on most stuff is frustrating. I love how Steve, Elliott and Joe are nerdy about something! Are passionate about something! Are big fans of something! That is why they are interesting to listen to and Kevin isn't, for me.

Steve Gets Bullied By Disney Adults (ft. DJ Wooldridge!)

I couldn't care less for Marvel or comic book stuff. So, thank you for the random jokes to make us laugh, Steve!

33:28 I wish Mike would be like Elliott on DB. It would be funny again like the old episodes.
Even though The Valleycast has been through drama, they still are just as funny as when they first started. Just as funny as when they were on SourceFed!

There's times when their low energy shows up when it didn't before. But over all, Joe, Steve and Elliott have kept the spirit of "yes and."

While listening to this episode I was window shopping for summer dresses on Thredup. Because I'm going to Phoenix, Arizona this summer to hang out with my dad. I reconnected with him and I told Steve about it on Twitch:

That Phone You're Holding is a SCAM! (LIVE JACKBOX EPISODE!)

Steve's livestreams are the best things on Twitch.

Use the app, TextNow! It's free and you can use it through cell service or the internet service. You just have to use it every week or it gives your number to someone else who makes an account. Worth it.

Or Google Voice if you have a number but have a weak cell signal.

31:49 Hahaha

I wish TKO was added in the podcast! I missed this live-stream.... I wish Steve had a stream archive Youtube channel.
